I guess most of the one star reviews I read were dead on right. Every price in the store is higher than they should be, you can tell thats true by seeing how dusty the stuff is from sitting there, because no one wants to buy it. I was mainly there to do a simple look through of their Laserdisc collection and some records. Walk in, the owner is talking to like 3 dudes, he looks at me, and he was worried about what I was there to look at, not even saying a simple "hi" or "welcome to my store", unprofessional from the start. I ask him where their Laserdiscs are, as when I called on the phone they stated that they had over 200 in the store. Instead of showing me where they were, he says that they were by the person standing next to me, and they werent, so I ask again, he annoyedly says "Right there on the floor... Next to him, cant you see?" Finally, I saw their "collection" of "over 200" laserdiscs, which happened to be 4 crates of overpriced, cosmetically damaged, not properly protected discs. I spent 10 minutes searching through them all, found no good movies at all, and even when I found something I maybe would have liked, it was way too much for the condition it was in. I looked in the back, behind the crates, and there was the Star Wars THX S.E. box set, marked at 75 dollars, which I already had at home, and got in much better condition for 25 dollars! 50 dollars more for a crappier looking, probably missing the papers and stuff in it, simply made me just lose all hope I had for finding something good in the store in the first place. Oh, and I looked at the records, games, and toys as well. HOW CAN THEY BE THAT MUCH? I MEAN, REALLY. The funny part is, halfway through looking, the owner went into the backroom to do some drugs, and the stench wafted through the store. I read about the same exact thing happening in a review. I understand that its a business, but, how can you expect to have loyal customers or customers that like you if you cannot simply price at the right prices? Its not all about profit in this world, but if you think so, youre selfish, materialistic, and not a normal human being. Oh, and I wont sign up for your newsletter, as I wont be back to take the 1 dollar discount it probably offers. People who like this store, or think it truly offers better deals than something like Ebay or Cheapo must be doing the same drugs as the owner.

I love this store. I dont promote soliciting, but I do enjoy going in there even if I know I cant buy something (which I inevitably do end up purchasing something anyhow). I have stood there and spoken with the owner, Mr. Zero, multiple times about anything and everything. Incredibly welcoming and friendly gentleman. I also witnessed what has possibly won me over to be a lifelong customer today, on July 21st, 2015: a handicapped gentleman came in (who appeared to be a regular as the owner and the customer knew each other by name) and they talked a little and the handicapped man asked Mr. Zero if he was willing to buy his scratched up CD from him for a small amount of money. Mr. Zero nod with a smile and took the CD from the man and gave him his money, all in the kindness of his heart. It was an endearing gesture, and something you would never see from a corporation or any other type of establishment. They have obviously created some bond over the years, as Mr. Zero told me he was a regular and hed see him again in an hour. Truly amazing feat of humanity that I had witnessed from a local shop owner. I love this store, from their crazy decorations to the squawking parrot that loves to chime in when you are making a transaction, this is a great place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of retro collecting of any sorts.

I found Mr. Zeros online and saw that they had video games, which I was looking for. However, I collect rare and hard to find video games making my search a little harder to do. I cant just go into a local Gamestop and ask for 15 year old game because they wont have it. Let me start by saying the staff here is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I asked if they had a specific game and he replied "No." I was getting ready to exit just like I would have any other shop and he then told me hed be happy to track it down and order it for me. I was floored, I had already been to 3 different independent shops locally and none of them even bothered to try and get it. Not only did they get it but they got it quickly. It only took Mr Zeros three days to get the game in and at a lower price than what you can find on Amazon or eBay. They have definitely earned my business and I will be back in this store more often. I highly suggest going here if you are looking for any kind of music, retro toys, games, and memorabilia. The atmosphere is off the wall good and selection is second to none. Even if you just need a break to walk down memory lane and look at some albums from when you were younger or movies from the 70s to 00s this is the place to stop. Dont miss it.

I was floored at how cool this place was, with everything thats for sale. However, the pricing is a little high, which I understand as its a business. I just wish it was a little more competitive with what you can find online because thats basically what they have to compete with when it comes down to older games and whatnot. I was also very put off by the fact that the employee watched over my girlfriend and I like a hawk. There were things that I wanted to look at, and maybe consider purchasing, but it makes me super uneasy when they assume Im going to be stealing everything I touch. Its not a race thing, either. I think its just how they treat all customers. On the other hand, he was very knowledgeable in what they carried, which was helpful. All in all, its a great place to find a lot of awesome things that you cant really find in stores these days, but the employees make me uneasy so Im unlikely to go back.

I can only speak about the records as I am not a gamer and dont collect action figures. My first trip to this store was a bust because all the records I looked at were 5-10 dollars overpriced and all were hacked up. the guy behind the counter was not very helpful but acted like he was an authority on vinyl records. My twelve year old knows more about vinyl then that guy. I made a second stop at this store as I pass by it every day. I buy alot of records so I would have been happy if I could find any redeeming quality with this store, but it was not to be. This time I asked about the bins full of records below the other records. Guy says those are all cheaper records as the expensive records were all picked out and put up in the regular bins. first record I pull out and ask him about, he says "oh that one is gonna be expensive" I just got up off my knees and left. I wont be back!!! What a Dick
