First off I must say that most of the employees are pretty nice. There have been a few that have been unattentive and rude but those are few and far between. For the most part though I have had nothing wrong with the staff and they even went as far to call me by my first name (that is a rare thing in the business world today). The biggest problem is their recent change in pricing. At first their prices were fair and made logical sense when it came to their competition. Yes, prices online were at times cheaper but not by much and I don t mind spending an extra few dollars to buy local. However, they recently made changes to their pricing that is WAY (and I mean WAY) off the edge. For example, they had a game called Final Fantasy: Revenant Wings for the Nintendo DS. This was for the cart only in a generic case and the game label had a stain on it. Under their old pricing system the game would of been in the clearance section for $7.99. Under the new system though the game is $24.99! The problem is that I can buy this game brand new and factory sealed on Amazon for $19.21! They are trying to sell the same game with a stain on the label with no box or manual for over $5 more! Come on, I don t mind paying more locally and would pay more than 7.99 but this is ridiculous. Another example is a game called Assassins Creed: Revelations for Xbox 360. I can buy the game new and factory sealed on Amazon for $14.94. The game complete & used is $14.99 at Entertainmart. OK, that is reasonable but the real kicker is the fact that the same game in the old clearance section that has nothing but the disc (no case or manual) and has a sticker on the top of the disc is.........$14.99! Seriously!? Before, they would of discounted something like this to around $5.99 or $7.99 but now they are just assuming that it is worth just as much as one in much better shape with the case and manual. Another example (I could go on for days with these) is for a 3DS game called Sims 3 (its for the cart only). The game has been sitting there for over a month at the price of $7.99. Its obviously not selling at that price and probably needs a price adjustment. Of course, they could keep the price the same and possibly sell it down the road. Not the choice I would make but it would be a reasonable business decision. However, the expert in charge of pricing their games thought it would be a good idea to raise the price to.........$19.99! Yes, raising the price almost another 200% is a great way to get rid of non-selling inventory....... I really can t complain about the employees or even the manager for doing this because they are probably just doing what corporate is telling them to do. It is sad though that I have been going here weekly for years and I will have to find elsewhere to buy my games locally. Like I said, I don t mind paying higher prices to buy local but I don t like having my head ripped off either.

I have shopped at Entertainmart for years, but have never been truly impressed by them. While their selection is often quite good, thats about the end of the good news. Their service has always been poor, with no help for customers on the floor and a rude staff. Employees often seem bothered to have to help customers. The prices are only average, as are the trade-in values. If you are unable to find what you need elsewhere, its worth checking at Entertainmart, but dont make them a first choice. Today, I tried to return a CD they sold me because they packaged the wrong CD in the case. I did not have the receipt, which is my own fault, so they could not take it back, but they wouldnt buy it because the CD did not match the case. How did they acquire it in the first place, then? Also, the first person i tried to talk to took a few minutes to finish a casual conversation with a coworker, then greeted me with, "Can I HELP you?" in a very annoyed tone. I will not be returning. My wife and I made the mistake of trying Entertainmart again tonight (1/16/12). We had a stack of nearly 20 DVDs to sell, but the clerk working the buying center refused to even look at our DVDs because she had so much other work to do sorting other DVDs. That is an awful business practice! Im amazed that they will deny business like that, especially when they will massively benefit when buying DVDs (since they buy them so low). She was completely rude in telling us this, too, acting as though her job were the greatest burden a person could bear. When I called later to get her name, she answered the phone in a way that would, were I any other customer, drive me away from the business. She was also very snippy when I asked for her name and hung up in the middle of my wishing her a wonderful evening. Hopefully the managers will actually pay attention to the fact that their employees are so blatantly rude and selfish.

I went in with sixty video games (Gamecube, Playstation 2, Xbox, and Xbox 360) While the "buyer" was pricing my items I went into the game center and chatted it up with the gentleman there who was friendly to kill some time. Once ariving back to the "Buyer" I was told that forty five of the games were too strached to buy. Thinking alot of these were ex-rentals I accepted the fact and came home. The next day (today) I skim threw the games in which they would not take and notice that fifteen of the said games are spotless I called in to let them know. When I called I asked to speak with a member of managment when a person by the name of "Mike" asks what I need so I let him know the issue and he laughs and says its all up to the buyer and then hangs up. Calling back I ask to speak with a manager again and this time I get with someone in recieving who says they are the acting manager on duty. Again I explain the issue when the manager states that the buyers at very good at what they do and infact somtimes they even buy things they shouldnt. Calling her out on her statement explained to her that it make no sense she stated I could drive back and try again but it may just be a waste of time.

This place is an utter joke! Dont waste your time or give them your money! I can not for the life of me understand how the owners keep such a disrespectful, inattentive staff like this sad bunch around. Blows my mind. I have never in my life experienced such service. These kids could care less. I stood t the desk and waited while two staff members carried on a full conversation for almost five minuets before one of them turned to me in a pissed off manner and proceeded to check me out without uttering a single word. On another occasion we brought in a stack of used games to sell, the girl at the counter told me it would be awhile and went on to place my games under he counter and walked off to talk to another employee for almost 20 minutes. She didnt process my games until I returned to the counter and asked if they were ready. She was literally doing nothing else but talking! I can see this place being shut down in the future due to there piss pour customer services, however I believe the fact that their prices suck and are no way competing with much better places like Game Stop or Vintage Stock, will do he job for them. This place is horrible. NEVER SHOP HERE!!!
