Stay away from the Big-Box stores like Jared, Kay, and JB Robinson; theyre all owned by the same parent company anyway: Sterling/Signet Jewelers. They have all the costs associated to heavy brick and mortar businesses. There is a high markup on the merchandise to start with, and the cost gets higher with the commission rate paid to the sales staff. I found the staff at this particular Jared to be almost desperate and aggresive in their approach. They swooped down on us as we entered the store, not allowing us the peace to leisurely look. When the first saleslady sensed our hesitancy, she brought in reinforcements and the two of them tagged teamed us. A major turn-off was when one of the ladies started to compliment my soon-to-be fiance on her body type. A seemingly desperate attempt to sweet-talk us. But VERY unprofessional. What really annoyed me was when they said they could tell me how much of a credit line I could be eligible for. All I had to do was fill out a form with some basic information (i.e. employer, SSN, income, etc.) I asked them if this was a "hard" inquiry on my credit report or a "soft" inquiry. They assured me it was a soft inquiry. Much to my chagrin, I received a credit card in the mail 10 days later. When I called to cancel the credit card, I told the phone rep I never agreed to open an account and get a card, he stated that it was in fact a "hard" inquiry on my credit report, and I had, in fact, opened an account with Jared. And Ive read other reviews of this same thing happening at other Jared/Kay/Robinson stores in the area. Whats the deal? EXTREMELY DECEITFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES. Do yourself a favor and give your business to a true jeweler in your area. Those ladies werent jewelers. Go to an established business, where the licensed jeweler can explain the basics of engagement ring buying to you, without the high pressure and desperation. Support your neighbor, not some big conglomerate chain that plays dirty.

I purchased my wifes engagement ring, wedding ring and my wedding ring from Jared and was satisfied with the service and price I received. Recently, because I had a positive experience previously, I took my watch in to have the battery replaced. It is a very nice Citizen Blue Angels Skyhawk watch. It was a 1st anniversary gift. I also inquired about having a sticky function button looked at at the same time. They stated that batteries start at $80 and to have the button looked at they would have to send it out. To have the button inspected would be another $40 and that was merely to find out what was wrong with it. Repair would be more depending on what was required to fix it. They then informed me that I would be without the watch for 60 days. Noticing my hesitation, the gentleman they replied with "I know what your thinking, $120 plus repair costs, why bother? Would you like to look at another watch?" "No, this was an anniversary gift. I like this one." I said and promptly left. They were obviously more interested in selling me a new watch instead of fixing the one I had. I looked up batteries on-line for this watch and found it for $1.99. I know retailers have mark up and labor, so paying $25 - $30 to have a battery replaced doesnt bother me. But $80? And then the push to buy a new one? I am disappointed that their service has fallen off like this.

My wife received a pair of hoop earrings as a gift from a friend who was a Jared employee. They arrived with a "dent" in one of them but we let it slide as it was a gift. 5 months later one of the earrings snapped in half as my wife was putting it on. We took it to this store and after arguing about the quality for 15 mins. Got nothing. They dont stand behind their overpriced, low-quality products or their own employees. They certainly dont care about their customers either.

We bought our ring at Jared, and have lost the center diamond. They gave us a guaranteed date of 17 July 2015 for the rings return, and have not only failed to meet that guarantee, but also their management refuses to return phone calls, one of the staff said "oh, I wouldnt go by that date" and when I questioned why it is called a guaranteed date, she said let me have my manager call you back which never happened.

We have spent a fair amount of money at this place and have been happy with this jared till today. We were helped by one lady then walked around looking and the manager asked if we had questions which we did till one of the other employees cut us off and said they hace already been help.

DONT EVER BRING YOUR WATCH TO GET REPAIRS HERE. I TURNED TWO DIFFERENT WATCHES IN AND THEY BOTH WERE STILL BROKE!!! MY SEIKO WATCH IS MY DAILY WEARABLE AND NEVER HAS BROKEN. HOW BOUT THAT?????? "TAG" WATCHES ARE NOT WORTH THE THOUSANDS PEOPLE PAY FOR THEM=(Big JOKE)!!!!!!!!
