I went into House of Wheels about 2 months ago looking for my first adult bike. I had never been properly sized before and was looking for a road bike. The first day I went in I spoke with a younger guy and he showed me my options. I told him thanks and wanted to take a night to consider the price. He told me that any of the road bikes on a certain rack were all $500. I came in the next day expecting to buy one of these bike but that day I spoke with a different person. He was an older gentleman and I assumed was the owner. He pulled down a 54cm bike to which I found was a little too big so he said he was going to look and see if he had a 50. He went behind the counter and took a look. He said he didnt have any in stock and said "better luck next time". Better luck next time? Who says that when they are trying to sell a customer something? He asked for my phone number and said he would give me a call if they got one in. Being 2 months later and still no call I can only assume they havent got one in yet. Its a shame because I like to buy local when I can but this time I just couldnt bring myself to do it because of the terrible service. Only reason I am giving a 2 star is because the younger guy I spoke with originally actually did care and try to help me out. I just cant recommend going to House of Wheels. Shame.

I dealt with the folks at this address on a matter where they were purchasing something from me. I guess the item I sent them showed up damaged and they left me a negative feedback on a popular auction site. There was no call or anything to try and work things out ahead of time. I called and they indicated that is just how they handle such matters. I welcomed them to return the part for a full refund.

I stop in on occasion to purchase parts and seek advice. They are always helpful and friendly. they also organize local rides open to all skill levels and I have seen them open the shop at off hours to help a cyclist in need. its no surprise they have been in business for over 30 years

Bought my new bike from them last week. I was in there 3 times before I could decide and they were nice enough to talk to me about all the different bikes and let me ride them around each time! Great service and very friendly!!
