Ken and his family provide a great service and a wonderful experience that you cannot find at your big box home improvement stores yes it might not be the same product selection and yes the prices might be a little different but I would much rather get a quality product and excellent service and know that theyre going to stand behind it at the end of the day. Not only that their hands are tied into the community as well as when you need local contractors to do quality work not only is their reputation on the line for the referral theyre going to give you theyve been able to experience the local business owners and give you a really good sense of where to go for things that you need I would recommend stopping in and meeting Ken and his family and the wonderful employees that are part of McKays Hardware. McKays is my go to store if I need anything. Ill often gladly pay for their higher prices in exchange for their excellent, knowledgeable service. Rarely does it take more than 30 seconds for one of their employees to ask you how they can help. My only complaint are the prices. They have some competitive pricing on some things, but on other things its so expensive its better to drive into Fenton. Still. My favorite hardware store!

Whenever I get in a jam, I know I can get a remedy at McKays. I needed a pipe shortened and threaded, they bring out the old man. Everyone in there knows hardware, unlike Ace, who employs college kids. They are the peanut butter for my jam.
