This Goodwill retail store is clean, friendly and has great stock, refreshed regularly. Prices are for the most part very fair. There are clean bathrooms available to the public-a rare exception for a thrift store. The employees are very nice and when you get to know them, they recognize you and greet you enthusiastically. Make sure and join their version of the frequent buyer program which gives you 1 point for every dollar you spend and when you reach 100 points, you get $10.00 off. The only blight is one of the store managers. She is suspicious and less than friendly She does not smile, show any consideration for pleasant customer service or act as an example of leadership with the employees. The other store manage however, makes up in heaps what J lacks.

Electronics tend to be overpriced at this location. CDs are $2-$4 each and DVDs are $3-$5 each. Not a great deal at all... Unique Thrift Store sells all CDs for $0.99 and DVDs are $1.50-$3.00 each. Did I mention this is a Goodwill "Retail" store? Ive been here several times and it gets worse each time. The last time I was there I saw a few items that I wanted and the line was VERY long... I didnt want to wait on the long line so I asked the manager if I could give him the money for the items so I wouldnt have to wait but he said "no". I ended up leaving empty handed and the manager lost a sale. It will be a while before I return to that location and I have no desire to pay retail.

Goodwill in Fairfield, Elmwood Park, Paramus increased the price on childrens clothes. Perhaps, other Goodwill stores around northern NJ foĺlowef suit. A used clothing like shirt, air of shorts, skirt, tops, pair of pants, skirt is $4.99. If you pay attention to color of the day, used clothing for kids is 1/2 off the price. A used clothing for $4.99 is too costly. With this amount, you can find one in a regular store. Hence, I do not buy used kids clothing unless is is 1/2 off and I really like it. Price before was $2.99 and it increased by $2.00 in July 2017. Sharp increase for donated items.

Pros: You can easily find brand name clothes like: JCrew, Chinese Laundry, BCBG, and Ralph Lauren (etc.) Cons: The prices are not as what you would expect from a Thrift Store. I wanted to purchase a JCREw jacket which had a small (but fixable) rip and they wanted $15 for it, the Bergenfield Goodwill would have easily marked that down to anywhere between $5-$7 but not this Paramus Goodwill. Im a fan because brand names are easy to find but Im not to happy about the prices as I have seen other Goodwill with much lower asking prices.

Went in to find a mens suit. Looked like there was a big selection but there were only 4 suits with pants. What a waste of time. Also most items are way overpriced for a store that gets everything for FREE! Went into the mens bathroom and you cant lock the door. No paper towels either. Ive been here before and it was the same atmosphere before. Just came from the Springfield store where there were two long racks of suits all with pants.

Ehhh, a lot of stuff, just nothing that interests me. If youre looking for retro tech or software this isnt the place. A lot of clothes and a lot of old broken nick-nacks but not really a place to find hidden gems. Been here on and off for about 10 months and never found anything that peaked my interests.

I came home to visit my family and have been going through all of my old boxes in storage. Its amazing how much you can accumulate over the years. I brought my items here as it is the closest to home. The staff was friendly but there is so much stuff its overwhelming to shop.

All these "good" reviews are 2+ years old. The place is messy with no sense of organization. Racks of clothes loosely sorted by color but no size separation, size 0 next to size XL. High prices, not worth it. I didnt even spend 10 minuted inside before walking out.

Im quite elited that this goodwill location is well taken care of however I look very young and if they want to follow people around the store they should have a bag holder id checker and greeter because it seems very race and age racist

Its fun. Can always find something interesting. Good inexpensive used items in the clothing department, that can even be used in custom Halloween or cosplay costuming. Has a book department, a used DVD, CD, and even VHS section.

You can find a lot of useful stuff here. Their donation entrance is also very convenient, in case you want to ready up some tax write-offs by clearing up some space and donating some of your worldly possessions.

Very good prices for housewares, childrens books, toys, and clothes if you dont insist things be in mint condition. Nice staff and large selection. Aisles could be neater. Constantly changing stock.
