So I just walked into the Howell location to purchase a powerwasher that I had stopped in and looked at a few times. Finally made up my mind to buy it today. I enter the store and immediately asked by someone at the front door if I need help locating something, no I answered Im good as I knew exactly what isle to go to and could actually see the $400 powerwasher from the door, well in a split second the employee said " just so you know we close in 15 minutes". Wasnt said very pleasantly at all. So as I start walking to grab the box and pay My $400 and be out of the store in less than 5 minutes I stopped in my tracks, realized how rudely I was just told " Just so you know we close in 15 minutes " I turned around and said well I wouldnt want to keep you, on my way to another store to spend $400 that will appreciate my business. HOWELL HARBOR FRIEGHT you need to teach your employees the right way to treat customers. This happened today, sunday 6/25/17. I work retail as well, I get it, a lot of hours and everyone would love to go home on time. But thats not how retail works. So if your going to this location be sure to get there at least a few hours before they close!!!

I called this store today looking for a 50 ft hose reel for a gift. Im a woman and not mechanical. Tracy, the manager, was not helpful at all. I explained that his store is the closest to me but still 30 miles away and asked if he would hold the item until tomorrow evening when I will be in Howell. He refused. Didnt offer any alternatives except to come today which I cant do. I called corporate customer service but they were no help. Then I called the Ypsilanti store and the nicest man answered. He looked up inventory at all other local stores. He offered to hold one so that it wouldnt be put back into stock until tomorrow afternoon. Then he even told me about a coupon on the website for a nicer model at about the same price as the one I called about. Now that is customer service! Howell you just lost out on a sale.

This store tried to steal 283.00 bucks from me on 9-13-2016 I used my debit card to buy a home security system and was told I was going to have to take store credit needless to say I didnt have to call the police and got my cash back the cashier was upset that she had to do the right thing I myself will never go back.

I want everything in aisle 8 and 9 all the Mechanics Tools everytime I go there I find more and more stuff that I want and need great place to get cheap tools to get the job done
