This is a tale of two dealerships: Motor City Powersports in Bloomfield Hills and Honda Suzuki of Warren. Both dealerships had the bike I wanted, which was new but a model year old with manufacturer incentives. Warren’s website price was $500 lower than Motor City’s, but Motor City permits test rides, which its competitors do not. I decided to visit both. At Warren, the website price was posted on the bike. I was greeted by a friendly and low-key Jeff. He asked me some pointed questions to ensure that I was looking at the right bike for my needs, and then answered all of my questions. I asked him for an out-the-door price, and he came back in two minutes with a price that was the sum of the website price plus freight plus sales tax. No pressure, no nonsense. At Motor City, the prices are not posted on the bikes. The sales person had arranged for my test ride and he had the bike ready for me. After the test ride, we sat down to discuss price and he put together a number based on the STICKER price. Surprised, I responded that I thought he should start with the price being advertised on their website. He claimed that he didn’t know about the sale price because “no one told me,” which I thought odd because (1) you would expect that sales people would know about special deals and (2) at least he would have checked for incentives since he’d known for almost a week that I was coming in to see the bike. So he recalculated the out-the-door price, which was significantly higher than even the $500 premium to Warren’s. I then showed him the Warren website, which resulted in his almost-cliché trip to the sales manager’s office to discuss it. After ten minutes he came back to me with a price that was still almost $300 higher than Warren’s price because it was stacked with all sorts of add-ons, e.g., documentation fee, etc. I was prepared to pay $50, or even $100, more to Motor City because the test ride had real value to me, but no test ride is worth $300, especially when I had to ask three times just to get that price. I told him that I needed to think about it and he came at me with the classic, “What can I do to get you to buy this today?” Ugh. I went back to Warren and got Jeff to throw in a set of saddle bags at a discount, and we did a deal. I asked Jeff if they could store the bike for me until Spring since it was too cold outside to ride it, and he responded that he couldn’t store it but would be glad to deliver it, which he did two days later. I asked him how much gas it had in it because I would need to add Stabil to the tank for the winter, and he responded that the tank was full and he had ALREADY added fuel stabilizer for me since he knew it would be sitting until Spring. Wow! My buying experience at Warren was great in every respect and it would be pleasure to give them my business in the future, hence I give them FIVE STARS. Because of Motor City’s lack of (1) transparent pricing, (2) sales staff knowledge, (3) willingness to compete on price, I award them only TWO STARS. However, their policy of permitting test rides is of value, so I’ll give them an extra star for that: THREE STARS total.

Well this is going to be a rather long story. I bought a bike from them and will never make that mistake again. I was treated so poorly that I cannot believe this busines is even still open. I purchased an FZ6R brand new from them. The financing guy wa good but he left like a week after I made the deal. What I was disappointed in was the service I received from the sales and other staff. They called me and told me my bike wa ready to pick up, when I arrived the bike had mud and dried dirt up the side fairing and on the exhaust. I was told "its from the test ride after the prep, the mechanic must have driven through a puddle". I asked "then why didnt you call me to tell me it was ready for pick up after you cleaned it?" response was "sorry I was busy I didnt get a chance to clean it up". This is completely unacceptable. After that we went otuside to go over the controls and basic info on the bike. The salesman in the middle of his sentence stoped what he was saying and followed a customer that had just pulled up into the showroom so he can start to work on the sale. That is ridiculous. I also asked the service manager is frame sliders is a good idea to install and he looked at me and spoke to me like im the dumbest person in the world for even considering such an idea. I have since purchased a new bike from another dealer and they know how to treat people. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this place. Go somewhere else, anywhere else.

Bought 4 vehicles from this place. This last visit was by far the best Ive ever had. Things sure have changed here from the last visit. Chase Was my salesman an was awesome. EVERYONE THERE WAS MORE THEN HELPFUL. Last time i bought a vehicle here the salesman an finance guy were rude an i about walked out & salesman was clueless on the product. So I had my doubts on comin back. AN IM DAM GLAD I DID COME BACK. The whole visit this time was much BETTER. They even DETAILED an GASED UP my new quad. That was a first. Bought from 3 other dealers an NOBODY has ever done that. It was a nice touch AN shows me they arent about grabbing the money AN moving on to the next customer. DONT HESTITATE COMING HERE FOR ANYTHING. THE SERVICE GUY WHICH I DONT REMEMBER HIS NAME WAS GREAT. THEY EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME ON THE QUAD. Like what to look for For etc. IF U HAD A BAD EXPIERENCE HERE LIKE MOST MAY HAVE HAD IN THE PAST THEN ASK FOR CHASE. HE DOESNT PRESSURE AN WILL HELP U. KEEP DOIN WHAT YOU GUYS ARE DOIN BC ITS WORKING. LOTS CHANGED HERE SINCE MY LAST VISIT. EVERY DEPARTMENT IS WORKING JUS AS HARD. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THE GREAT SERVICE WHICH LEFT ME COMPLETLY SATISFIED AN ILL BE COMIN BACK SOON FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE SOON WHICH I BUY EVER FEW YEARS. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE GREAT SERVICE....

I also read the reviews before going here, was apprehensive..but figured not all reviews are right. Well I will explain our experience. We went to purchase 2 jet skis, we walk into the showroom, saw sales people, were not approached. So we looked at the jet skis, and still not approached. So I decided after standing there for 10 minutes, to go to the girl at the front desk. She was very involved in her facebook and took my husband jingling his keys to even get her to look up ( i was standing in front of her). She then called a salesperson who was also involved in his phone, didnt want to really be bothered, but helped us. No incentives offered..no real help just a take it or leave it attitude. Plus overcharged for a trailer which was thrown into our bottom line price which really was not broken down in the price. Went somewhere else today, purchased 2 brand new jet skis, due to the service offered and discount offered and bent over backwards for our business. I will never recommend this place to anyone I know, and they lost out on a 19K deal. So try them out maybe you will not have the experience we did!!
