I only discovered Get Your Game On in my last year in Ann Arbor, but it quickly became my favorite location. The shop carries a good variety of hobbiest games, some comics, lots of used video games (and an enormous screen to play some of them on in the store!), some used game systems, and a fair selection of strategy board games. Alex, the owner, opened the shop to give Ann Arbor a neat, clean, and inviting place to game, and he has succeeded. He is usually the one running the shop, and is always ready to discuss games, point out products, and generally be friendly. This is quite a contrast from other game stores Ive been in. While Get Your Game Ons stock, particularly in minis, is not comprehensive, you can order just about anything through Alex, and he has a standing offer to discount large (>$100) orders of minis. The store also deals in some Magic and D&D minis singles. Alex also does his best to set up and encourage gaming at the shop, including regular tournaments (Magic, Warhammer, whatever is releasing the next expansion set), and anything customers would be willing to run in the shop. In case you get thirsty or hungry there is a plentiful supply of energy drinks and candy. Get Your Game On is a superb specimen of its breed and well worth the trouble to visit if youre in the area and have that gaming itch.

Well, its an OK place for looking for retro games, but dont plan to have a conversation with some of the help. Some seem snobbish and pissy when you ask a question about anything magic seems to be the hot button more so if youre new to the game. They seem to dump on you making you feel bad about what you have. I go when I have no other alternative its a last resort for me too a point to where Ill send my assistant to fetch my goods rather then myself personally. I cant help but feel like Im being ripped of on certain things, but ill just walk away at that point. I also keep in mind that for the business to make money on what they buy they have to buy low, but it would be easier too say yet to a low ball if it didnt like I was being talked to as a stooge. Not all the staff is bad I only work with one fella if I do have to go in. He must have read how to win friends and influence people, I find him really pleasant to talk too an buy from. He is the only reason this store earns my money or personal patronage.

Overall the staff is very nice, one employee was rude the last time I went and was impatient. Overall great selection but slightly overpriced My problem was I purchased a slightly overpriced ghosts and goblins for the nes... And it didnt work theyre nice enough to have a return policy but why cant they test the games first! I find it annoying to have to drive all the way back there just to tell them it doesnt work and thats embarrassing but as for the games I did purchase that worked they were in great condition and little to no damage on the carts or disks or covers. Id shop there again I just wouldnt risk paying for anything too expensive (Ps I also bought a complete "college slam" for the genesis from them and that didnt work either)

Ive always wanted to go to Friday Night Magic but due to only playing a year & never playing draft format before I was really nervous. They assured me though that they encourage an environment where beginners are welcome & have asked those without the best sportsmanship to leave. I went and had a lot of fun and the guys gave me tips and advice to help me get better. Ive tried other magic stores since and so far this one is my favorite. Plus its cheaper, $10 to draft when other places charge $15. Only complaint I have is the room gets hot and stuffy. Like the people who come here. Casual environment for beginners.

This is The. Best. Videogame. Resale. In. Michigan. Very rarely have I gotten a stinker, and the one game I picked up that didnt work, I was able to swap. (even gave me a slightly higher priced game for my troubles.) I always get polite service, everywhere I go, but here I dont have to pull out the Polite first guns. Its autopilot for them. I really wish they had a larger selection of boardgames, but they do have a great magic programme. They dont have a huge warhammer selection, but they do a good job for a bit of everything store. A tic on the list of reasons why I moved to A2.

Do not go here. They sold us an expansion pack to a game that we asked about. Literally had a conversation with the sales guy about the game. Not knowing it was an expansion pack (it says nowhere on the outside of the box) until we got home and read the rules. Went back to the store to exchange it for the original and the same sales guy wouldnt even exchange it cause it was opened. Not even an hour were we gone, and he advised us to buy the game knowing we had never played it before, so why tell us to buy the expansion pack! Poor advice, even worse customer service.

Great store with great prices. The employees are very knowledgeable and always willing to help. They also support the local gaming community with events from Magic the Gathering, Warmachine, and Warhammer. The store is very clean and welcoming where they are also very close the parking garage for easy parking. Overall this is easily one of my top 5 game stores I have visited and I travel all around the US due to my employment. Visitors and residents of Ann Arbor be very thankful you have a such a wonderful store supporting your gaming addictions.

In a city of fun little places, this might be my favorite fun little place. Ive been coming here regularly since they were on Packard, and its a request among friends who come into town. I was able to stock up my collection of N64 wrestling games for a reasonable price, and assembled a set of dice that look like various melted cheeses for less than $5. Staff is nicer than nice. Id recommend it to random people on the internet just as strongly as I do to the less random people I know personally.

My wife came in to the store with our son about a month ago to inquire about selling a Nintendo DS. She was treated rudely by a young woman who worked there when she asked for a price. She told me that the employee started to yell at her and speak slower than normal as if she was an idiot. My wife does not have a native fluency in English and it is unacceptable that she was humiliated in public because of this reason. I will not be returning to this store after this incident.

LOVED this place and the employees. Some friends got me into MTG. With very little experience this place was amazing! The staff helped me build a deck under my budget and were VERY nice, helpful and fun to talk to. They dont judge if youre a "n00b" they helped me build a stellar deck and I was very impressed with the time they took and the amount of information they gave me. I will continue to shop here for my MTG needs. only downside to this place is parking.
