My comments are about the Deli section at the Meijers off Riley and 31. I have been here many times and have mostly had a bad experience. I feel there is a management problem here in that most of the workers do not seem to be trained well in standard sanitary procedures, and in the fine art of slicing lunch meat. Compared to the Meijers on 16th street, and virtually all the other grocery stores in town, the workers here are not prepared to give good service. They do not understand why gloves are required to be used to handle meats. They use the same gloves for many customers. They leave their gloves on after picking meat off the floor, after wiping things off the machines, after opening the cold storage doors, etc. It is just so stupid. As far as slicing lunch meat, yesterday I ordered an expensive brand of turkey breast. The worker sliced a pound and let it all fall where it may, even on parts of the machine not protected by a sheet of paper. Then she just grabbed the whole pile in smushed it together and shoved it into a plastic bag. All other deli counters in town neatly stack the slices and present it to the customer in a way that can be used easily at home. Again, just stupid and non caring. It is a management problem - these people are not being trained and managed.

They have just about anything you need and produce is tons better than the Family Fare by me. I dont know why I dont come here more often. Its less than 15 minutes from me. Most of the store is well organized and getting help is fairly easy. I do have trouble finding stuff and finding help takes a little patience but they usually point me in the right direction. :) P.S. You may never realize how much you take Meijer for granted until you move away and there are none in your state. Oh how I love thee, Meijer! Haha!

Meijers is great for all around shopping, of course. Food, tools, clothing, health supplies - theyve got a lot. Yesterday visit was especially nice thanks to the Meijer employees. My card didnt go through the first time, but the employee by the self check out helped it work on the second try and was very patient. Then as I was leaving the alarm went off. The guy was polite, patient, and light hearted as he checked my bag versus my receipt. End result was, I felt very relaxed after what was really a fairly hectic shopping trip.

HORRIBLE grocery STORE! - Always always always"out of stock!!!" -- Staff are "not" helpful. -- Lousy shopping atmosphere. People that shop here haul 5 kids a piece to this store. -- In the winter, there are more sick people in this store than in the hospital. Want to catch a cold or the flu? Go to this store! Want another cold or flu? Go to this store. -- Self help check out machines are always low on ink so you cant read your receipts. -- Pharmacy staff are the worst!

People at Meijers are always kind and willing to go out of the way to help you out not just the workers but even some of the people who shop here as well Meijers also usually has what you are looking for and wide spread stores over the area Meijers store and Gas station is also soon to be coming in Hudsonville it is currently being built just off the US I-96 Hudsonville exit

Ok i see all these 5 star reviews that are happy go lucky, but lets face it, this post will probably never be seen because they promote the 5 star ratings that sound good, but the fact of the matter is, there a simple grocery store... just like walmart or pigley wigley, theres nothing impressive. You want cheep food? Grow it, or kill it.

Very nice Meijer. Everything is very clean and organized. I like to get fresh fruits and veggies here. I do most of my grocery shopping here. Id stop here after work to grab a cold cherry cider beer that they carry, but just this week they changed the cold beer isle! All the Michigan beers they sold by the bottle that were chilled, now sit warm on the shelf!! Major disappointment, I think they may lose some business . Ill be stopping at RePetes now on.

The pharmacy staff is rude, slow and they tend to make it a inconvenience for the customers and the prices are high. They are NOT the same price at 16th street meijers seems to be cheaper. Which they should be the same price. It SHOULDNT matter what meijers you go to , should all be the same.

I love Meijer. Store usually pretty clean. Could have more check-outs open. Annoying that sometimes they are out of sale items even on first or second day of sale. Produce selection is good. Prices overall in store are very good.

Generally Northside Holland Meijer is a pleasant visit. This Sunday morning they were very far behind on setting their ad and had many expired sales tags up. Very well-stocked today though which is unusual for Sunday morning.

I like the Meijers stores and the Meijer Perks. Theyve saved me alot of money over the years and seem to always have great sales. I really havent shopped at Walmart at all anymore as Meijers is now my choice.

As with all big Dept stores. They have 100 lanes open and one 4 open. Good selection of groceries and items, decent pricing. Just dont expect any employee to go out of their way to offer help. Open 24 hours.

Friendly staff, obviously gets slow when its busy but otherwise its a great place to shop. I like to visit when I ride the bus. It stops there twice in an hour which is awesome.

Very close to home and usually find what I need, I just hate when the self checkout requires an assistant and theres nobody around. This rarely happens though.
