For the most part, this store offers a good shopping experience. The one glaring exception is the stores Deli, which is perhaps the most haphazardly managed department I have ever had the displeasure to experience in my life. The employees seem to be doing the best they can, but the department manager is a disgrace. She is rude, condescending, and short-tempered, and often interrupts employees as they work with customers to bellow about some ridiculous new protocol she apparently forgot to tell them. Furthermore, the department is often severely understaffed, which makes for long waits and distracted employees. This store would be great if not for the presence of that insufferable woman; it is a wonder how she was hired to be a manager at all.

Great and always impressed with the quality of there meat department. Plan on spending at least a dollar more for every item in comparison with Miejer. Food prices are crazy these days I understand this but it seems when leaving family fare with just two small bags of groceries it is at the very least $40 dollars or more. Just because it says its on sale look closely they do price cuts in the penny range. ALSO PAY ATTENTION TO THE EXPERATION DATES! On sale items tend to expire as soon as that day! *Grow a garden *Pre-prep and freeze meals *Be aware of marketing skeems and processed food placement

Received a cupon for 10$ off any 50$ with the exception of a few selected items in the Grand Rapids Press ( one day only ). Nowhere did it mention alcohol, so after waiting in line 10 minutes I was then told that alcohol also was not accepted . They put these little signs up by the cashiers which you really dont pay attention unless they point them out to you. So after getting screwed over I went back to the alcohol department to see if there was any sings telling me this--NOPE. I GUESS I JUST WANT TO SAY THANKS FAMILY FARE .

Cant believe the prices. I recently moved from Spring Lake and found that the prices at Family Fare were 25 to 50% higher, and I dont buy the spartin brand. I will be doing the bulk of my shopping back in Spring Lake. Your young staff is very helpful and I would hope with your overpricing you are paying them well.

I went here to get a greeting card for some occasion that I cannot remember. You know what I can remember, though? Family Fares fierce and undying dedication to selection, honest pricing and quality service, thats what. 10/10 would greet with cards from here again.

Just returned from the store, which was a disgrace today. Bottle return room was dirty, with garbage bins overflowing. Bottle return machines full. Lots of trash on the floor. Store was very busy, only one check-out lane open. Disappointed in this visit.

They have groceries here, but their customer service is abysmal. Staff do not acknowledge or try to help you in any way. They never have enough lanes open to service the volume of customers they have. Staff are not friendly here.

Aisles are packed with merchandising displays that narrow walk ways limiting movement with handicap accessibility and passing on coming cart traffic. Very busy. Self check out. No baggers or carry out staff.

Pop machines are always a hassle, half the time they are broke or full and you have to wait forever to get them empty to be able to use them. Nice store, most of the employees are friendly.

Prices might be somewhat high but if you have a Yes card, things are much cheaper. Also the gas discounts and the occasional 50cents off per gallon makes it worth it.
