First let me say, this is a great review for Tamson Motors and Billy, so don’t get put off by the beginning of my story. Didn’t know what to expect when I agreed to look at a car for a friend living in another state who found a listing for a SAAB in Stoughton that he thought he may be interested in purchasing. See my friend is crazy about SAABs and will travel just about anywhere to see one to buy. So I reluctantly headed out to Stoughton from Cambridge on the extremely mixed weather day of March 31. I’m used to going to nice looking dealerships with brand new cars, never bought a used car myself. I drove into this lot and maybe it was the rain and sleet that initially had me wonder if I should have ever agreed to do this or the dark dreary office with some smell I couldn’t identify, maybe the smell of an old motor, I don’t know, quickly all that went away when I met Billy. I’m pretty intuitive and immediately I knew he was a decent guy. He grabbed his huge and I mean huge umbrella and we walked on to the lot. The SAAB appeared to be in good exterior condition, inside was very clean, and as far as I could tell, everything seemed to be working. Billy took me for a test drive, glad he did because the last time I test drove a car, somebody rear ended me. After leaving the lot I called my friend and informed him that the car looked good to me. He asked a lot of questions that I found hard to answer. Like when I said “the engine ran heavy,” he said “what do you mean?” I said “you have to realize I only drive brand new cars, I hardly ever hear the engine. “ Anyhow to make this long story come to an end, my friend traveled hundreds of miles to come and see for himself. He ended up buying the car. He had a great experience and yes, he drove it hundreds of miles back home. Along the way he called me, I said “How’s she doing?” He said “so far, so good.” My friend and the SAAB made it home. Well that’s the story. I will recommend to any one of my friends who wants to buy a used car to check out Tamson Motors. The service was great and the car worth travelling the distance. No pretense just good honest salesmanship. Heck, I may look into one myself!

I purchased a 2008 Ford Fusion for a great price. I had a minor issue on the way home with a cooler line hose letting go. This was a Saturday night and Bill made a point to call me back ASAP after hours and covered the cost of the repair. Highly Recommended!
