First, I called and talked to a rep on the phone, who walked me through how the Bring Your Own Device program worked. He was very helpful, despite his surfer-dude sound. Then, when I visited two days later, I was greeted by another rep - seemed to be the only one in the store. The radio was rather loud, and the station was filthy (we had a young child with us). The rep stood there, chewing and spitting tobacco in front of us, while he was preoccupied playing poker on his phone. As I explained what plan we wanted, he informed me that they didnt sell that plan anymore. When I showed him the plan on the Boost Mobile website, he had to call someone to find out about it. Then, he told us a cost more than what was shown online. When I asked why it was so much higher - he indicated there was an activation fee. Starting to get frustrated that the activation fees had not been mentioned before, I started asking questions about what the total cost would be. Then he remembered there was a fee for the SIM card. All told, we left without switching after being told it would cost us over $100 more than we were initially led to believe. Im not at all impressed and will definitely not be returning to this store. I should not be more educated on your products and services from looking at your website for five minutes than your own employee. And as for the employee - pay attention to your customers!! Dont be be more interested in playing a game on your phone while you listen to music with explicit content on the store radio...
