Love this place its waaay better than Davids Natural Market when it comes to buying organic food.. Davids is better with products that arent food.. like health and skin products. But you gotta watch out at Davids, not only do they rob you with the prices, some of that stuff thats supposed to be organic or natural do have some chemicals in it .I just order all my organic or natural stuff thats not food off of Amazon instead of Davids... 80% of the time its a lot cheaper on Amazon... and thats PLUS THE SHIPPING. Check my review on Davids Natural on here just to get a couple crazy examples of how bad Davids over prices theyre stuff robbing their customers Anyway... i cant get enough of Roots.. i love food so when i found a place that had a huge variety of food with no chemicals in it... couldnt get enough. They have a waaay better variety of quick organic frozen foods... prepared foods like potatoe salad and mashed potatoes that only cost $3.. trust me davids wouldve charged $5 or $6 for the same amount... cakes.. candies.. ice cream and sodas any kind of food you find at the regular grocery store. I dont buy the meat... better selection of meats too plus theyre fresh looking. You gotta check the food at Davids before you buy it... half of the time the stuffs gone bad... stale bread... bad meat.. definitely check the due dates. The only 2 things Davids has more of is water and health and skin products.

Worst grocery store Ive ever been in - AND A HUGE FIRE HAZARD. Accidentally decided this place may have Numi turmeric tea and it would be a quick stop. Boy was I wrong! As soon as we walked in, I started feeling sick from the smell. The entrance was blocked by slowly blundering shoppers, the whole tea rack was blocked by a seller there to sell tea scented body lotion - who had 3-4 shoppers with her and no joke wouldnt move so people could get tea. Tried to leave and no joke there was no safe way to leave. The registers are very tightly packed at the door such that, with he carts, you cannot get out of this place without waiting in a line of shoppers. I cant imagine that this is up to fire codes, I felt incredibly unsafe climbing around people just to escape. Horrible. Really scary. I dont care what theyre selling in there, the way they e set up the store is amazingly unsafe

Roots is one of two locations where a shop local, shop healthy, shop restricted diet, can easily go to obtain the food items desired. They will always ask you if you found everything you needed, and if you dare to say you didnt, they will do their best to find what you couldnt. The last time I went in, I was looking for B2 vitamins. The slots on the shelves, for the various B2 vitamins they carry, were empty, but they had just received a shipment of vitamins and supplements and were planning to deal with it after hours. Instead, they opened that shipment and dug through it to find 2 bottles, which they rushed up to me at the register. This wasnt the first time I observed them going to such lengths for their customers.

This store is excellent. I recently became a vegetarian for health reasons, and was looking for a store that promoted organic products and locally grown organic produce. This is, hands down, the best organic and natural food store in Maryland. Their prepared foods are very good - I highly recommend the freshly ground organic peanut butter. I havent tried their supplements section, but it is fairly large. While Roots is often more expensive than your average grocery store; my experience has been that since I stopped eating meat and stopped shopping at big grocery stores my grocery bill remained fairly unchanged and Im eating much healthier and fresher food. Im now exclusively shopping at Roots.

I visited this lovely market for the first time today and fell in love. I am big on organic markets, such as Whole Foods and Trader Joes, but Roots is my new found love. They have a large range of vegan products and vegan pre-cooked meals (A BIG PLUS). The staff are so pleasant, I was approached by 3 staff members within 2 mins of walking in, usually I would be annoyed, but I was so impressed by my environment that i found it delightful. I will be visiting Roots more often! :-)

Roots has some of the best customer service people it has ever been my pleasure to find in the world of retail. Heather at the Clarksville location went way above and beyond to suggest a great vegan yogurt product for my Wife. When the store ran out she was extremely helpful in getting it special ordered for me and keeping me posted as to the orders arrival. Employees like Heather are the reason I love Roots !! Great job !! 100% Satisfied !!

While in the area I checked out Roots. This is a organic market and they got everything you would expect, Fresh produce, vegetarian, gluten free, beauty products and more. They got many coolers filled with cold and frozen items and a small cheese display. You find most of usual things and and the staff is friendly. And like others said it beats Davids market price wise.

Fantastic selection of vegan foods! They also carry organic and gluten free products, but I, admittedly, paid much less attention those. The prices were lower than I had expected from such a specialty store. They have a really fantastic selection of vegan baked goods. I tried the oatmeal creme pie and a slice of cheesecake (both vegan), both of which were excellent.

Their produce selection is so fresh and organic. Their selection for prepared food on the go is great as well. Best of all, their reverse osmosis water for 41 cents per gallon. This place is heaven for health fanatics and vegan eaters. I also recommend checking out their branch resturant next door, the Great Sage. Great atmosphere, great people

This was my first visit to a Roots Market. it reminds me of Trader Joes layout (narrow and packed isles) crossed with Sprouts selections (but showing strong brand identification with vegan options). A fresh and refreshing grocery store alternative, great for the vegan lifestyle or people who want to try something different.

Excellent vegan food bar and cold options! Like a Whole Foods meets a food co-op. Good selection of high quality foods but very quaint. People with dairy, gluten, or egg allergies and vegans and vegetarians alike will love this place. If you like quality real food this is a great store to visit if youre around.

Quite Good! Easy in-out and HELPFUL Staff. Most importantly was the incredible edibles. Reminded me of my Fav Korean Grocer in Manhattan. Previous attack review is absurd. Store should sue her for defamation. BTW, as a leg-amputee, I am happy to see mellow shoppers. I call them polite.

As a gluten free vegan, my choices are obviously limited. Many times Ive been to Roots and found the shelves empty, and needed to wait had to wait while stocked was checked in the back. I now go to Moms, (I pass Roots to get there), to avoid delays, frustration and disapointment.

Roots has a great selection of fresh, organic produce, friendly staff, and plenty of free samples (which is particularly helpful if you are shopping with young kids). Lots of gluten free and vegan offerings, as well as a good cheese selection and an aisle for meats.
