Most of the H-Marts youre probably used to going to are usually small or moderately sized but they all usually feel packed and cramped, typical of any asian supermarket. This H-Mart is an exception. It is HUGE. It actually used to be a Shoppers before H-Mart bought it out which explains its size. This H-Mart is located a couple miles up the road west of the other H-Mart and across the street from Lotte Mart. This whole area of Ellicott City is pretty much Marylands Koreatown since so many korean shops are located here. This market has almost all of the Asian, Middle Eastern, Indian, and American goods in it, except alcohol. There is are 2 sushi restaurants and 2 Korean restaurants located inside the market. Prices are $ to $$. If youre not looking to have a hot meal then they also have an aisle for prepared foods which include a wide selection of fermented dishes, seasoned meats, sushi, and ready to eat items. Theyre produce are very fresh and cheap compared to American supermarkets. The seafood is also the same but they can prepare your fish a certain way if youd like. Head on/off, scales, debone, etc. Meats I think are fresh but the price can vary. I prefer the meats are my local Shop Rite. Now for their dried goods, they almost have it all. If youre looking for a particular soda, spice, candy, noodle, etc. from your country, chances are theyll have 80% of the stuff from your country which is pretty good. I go to this location rather than the H-Mart in Wheaton which is closer to me because of the traffic, the huge selection, and ease of finding what I want. Make sure you sign up for their club card, youll get even more savings through the mail.

I honestly think its a beautiful store. The layout is gorgeous. I am mesmerized by the Asian culture and all its beauty. Im also new at cooking (crazy, I know ) and I am a mommy. As a black woman...sweet and kind as can be, I just needed a little help. I asked a few Asian man (employees) to help me out with the items on my list. Yet, I was given the cold shoulder. I totally understand theres a language gap. I just figured that that would be understood, in this country...I guess¿ I was overwhelmed for a while through out my shopping trip. Thankfully a super kind Asian Madame helped me out, with a smile on her face. She brightened my day and experience at the H Mart. Asian recipes require several ingredients that you can only find at an Asian food mart. And the only ones that I know of in Maryland are in Ellicott city or Catonsville. So I, have to drive pretty far now days. There for It was critical that I came home with all of my items on my list. In all, the only complaint that I have is that I wish the employees were just nicer to people like me and understood that I respect your culture and would never disrespect it. Just be more willing to help out people like me. I will be back soon hopefully you get this message. Peace!

This store us clean, and well organized, with a strong fish smell: Ill let you decide if thats a good or bad thing. They have a large variety of produce and herbs/spices that your typical grocer may not carry. This is the better of the 2 baltimore area locations. The customer service is lacking. The cashiers dont speak, Im not sure if its because they dont speak much English or they just dont like their job, maybe they dont like non-asians who knows, but a simple "Hello" or "did you find everything you need" or even "your total came to $8.52" would have been nice. If I come back itll be because of a specific item needed not the service.

A fantastic, very new H Mart that has a lot of space and is always well-stocked with a huge selection! Pretty busy at all times and can be a little crazy off and on, but always manageable thankfully. This is my go-to for fresh, high quality produce and sea food, as well as anything at all that is specifically Asian, whether it be white sweet potato noodles, kimchi or a new rice cooker. If youre hesitant about trying H Mart for the first time, you wont be let down with this one, I promise! Go try a new fruit or vegetable that youll only see at such a great store, and prepared to be amazed.

This store just opened. While not a "super" H mart, it sure felt like one. This beats the zaniness of the other location next to Walmart down the road. Between this new H mart and the New Lotte further in the east direction of 40, there is no longer a reason for us to journey to Fairfax for the Super H mart. I really hated going to the H mart near Walmart. In no better words, "ghetto."

I love H-Mart. Too many people are afraid to venture inside because it is geared toward Koreans, but take the time and check it out. Lots of food options and good pricing on produce and fish and meat. Youll also be able to pick up hard-to-find items that will make your dinners even better. Dont forget to arrive hungry and grab a quick lunch of Bi Bim Bap, Kim Chi Jiggae, or Chop Chae

Not clean, not all products are legally packaged. Cashiers speak little if any English. A bit over priced on food items. Non food items are ridiculous. Have korean Americans not figured out Amazon yet? The smell of rotting fish etc is not due to the normal smell of the food. Its due to spills that havent been cleaned up.

My review is related to H mart on 800 North Rolling rd, Catonsville. sorry I didnt check the address. Awful service ever!!!! I bought 2 packs of salmon. When I came home I realized that they sold me a 3th one and the worst part is that there was a hair in the pack. Please check your recede before you leave this terrible store,

Where I live we dont have access to a lot of foods. I was able to visit H Mart recently while in the Baltimore area. I stocked up on many of the items I just cant find where I live. The prices were super reasonable and the produce department blew me away!!! I wish either I lived closer or there was an H Mart near me!

Rather clean, organized for easy maneuver around the store, Helps you get what you need and get out. Cashiers arent the most polite staffs, but they do their job. The small cafe inside doesnt seem to be completely associated with Hmart, but is quite nice. Changes the atmosphere of the market.

A nice big supermarket with oodles of Asian foods and ingredients, with an emphasis on Korean. A bit intimidating for anyone who doesnt already know how to prepare Asian dishes. A few western foods available, but youd be much better served picking those items up elsewhere.
