I just purchased my second car in the last 12 months from D&C, and theyve been fantastic to work with both times. I am a car nut who buys a new (to me, but used) car about every year when I get bored with what Im driving. Ive owned everything from a 2-year-old Lexus RX330 to a 20-year-old pickup, and Ive bought from around 10 different dealerships in Portland, so I feel like I have a good perspective on buying used cars. My favorite part about these guys is that D&C doesnt waste your time, the price thats posted is the price. Literally, its lower than anything youre going to find out there for a comparable car, they price it low and expect to move a lot cars quickly to make their profit. Not like a lot of dealerships who either bait-and-switch you, or tell you its "their lowest price" and then settle in to waste 4 hours of your life haggling. I HATE that!!! I now own a 2004 Volvo S80 with 60k miles that I got a great deal on, and D&C took the first car I bought from them (2001 Passat wagon) in trade and gave me a very fair trade-in price. I was very happy with my last car, and Im thrilled with my new one. Daniel (owner) and his staff are great to work with, theres zero pressure to buy, and theyre very straighforward and honest. I understand the frustrations of some of these other posts where people were upset, but I think their issues were with buying a used car and not with D&C as a dealership. If youre buying a used car that has 50k-100k (or even 150k!) miles on it, there are a lot of things that might happen. If you dont want to worry about that, maybe buy a new car? They take into account the condition of the car and little stuff like a broken seat slide or a tear in the seat when they price the car, and in my experience it will still be 10-20% lower than most othe dealerships even after that. Also, the no-haggling thing is worth a ton in my opinion. Theyre honest about their product and their price, its up to you to decide if its the car for you. So you know, D&C also sells a lot of nicer cars that haver zero issues (like the Volvo I just bought), but it seems like the people who posted concerns were looking at the lower end of their inventory. A 10-year-old car with 120k miles on it may or may not have issues at any time (thats why the factory doesnt warranty it that long!). Buy a newer/lower mileage car and you take a lot less risk... Sorry to be so long-winded, but I truly feel that D&C is one of the good ones in the used car world, and it dissapointed me to see negative posts about them. As I said, I do this a lot, and the best recommendation I can give them is that theyve earned my business on my last two purchases!

WHAT A JOKE INDEED!!!! SAVE YOURSELF A HUGE HEADACHE AND FIND A DEALERSHIP NOT RUN BY BURNT OUT LOSERS PRETENDING TO BE BUSINESSMEN!!! Came into this dealership knowing exactly what I wanted. Willing to pay sticker, AND had financing done and ready. PERFECT CUSTOMER WANTING TO BUY A CAR. Just needed to test drive and sign. Walked in the door thinking, lets avoid the drama and come in prepared. No bargaining, no negotiating, just buy the car for the price they want and leave without a problem! So we met DANIEL and the other "owner" as well as other various members of the staff, all of which were equally as poorly dressed, unshaved slobs as the owners who also enjoyed wandering around with confused looks on their face. What followed was literally; THE MOST PATHETIC ATTEMPT AT RUNNING A "BUSINESS" WE HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!! These young high school dropouts appear to have just woken up wearing jeans and t-shirts on a Monday, bumbling around not sure where any of their inventory is or how to do any of the actual paperwork associated with selling a car. They work entirely off of cell phones and have no office phone or working fax. 70% of the cars we looked at had SERIOUS damage from WATER & FLOOD DAMAGE, to BENT AXLES, SERVICE ENGINE LIGHTS, SEVERAL MISSING PARTS, HIDDEN BODY DAMAGE, and a plethora of various issues in the large majority of the cars on the lot. If you manage to find a car on the lot that seems to be in working condition, good luck trying to buy it! I spent LITERALLY 6 HOURS at this dealership trying to finish the paperwork that I already had pre-arranged at the bank!! All they had to do was a fax a purchase order and follow up with the bank to get the final contracts. I had to ask them six times to fax the purchase order to the bank over the period of two hours only to find out their fax didnt work!! No one seemed to know how to work the fax, how to write a purchase order, or how to even communicate with a bank or a customer to explain where in the process they were. I arrived at the dealership at 12pm on my lunch break and left for home at 6:30pm with NOTHING but a headache. The following day; just out of curiosity, I called to see if they ever got anything to the bank. Daniel answered the phone and literally needed me to remind him which customer I was!!!! (not like they had more than 2 the whole day) I FINALLY GAVE UP AND BOUGHT A CAR AT A REPUTABLE, PROFESSIONAL DEALERSHIP!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE ANY COMMON SENSE WHAT SO EVER!!!! YOU CAN FIND THE CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE BUT IT IS NOT WORTH IT TO BUY A BEAT UP LEMON FROM THESE CLOWNS!!!!!

As long as D&C is in business, this will be the ONLY place I ever buy a car. This weekend I bought my second car from D&C and was reminded as to why they are the only way to go. Buying a used car is an extremely difficult experience, but shopping at D&C makes it so pain free and eliminates all my reservations and worries. So many other dealerships selling used cars are just out there to flip theirs cars, selling dirty, poor conditioned vehicles that they try to mask as a good deal. D&C is the exact opposite. Not only do they have the nicest show room and best group of employees ever, but their cars speak for themselves. They have the most top of the line vehicles, at such fair prices. Youre basically buying like new cars for a portion of the new price. In fact, every car makes you second guess the fact that its not actually brand new. They are in absolutely pristine shape, clean, shiny, BEAUTIFUL and ready to take home. Not only do they have the most dream worthy show room that will make anyone glow with car envy, possessing the newest and nicest cars on the market, they also have affordable cars in all price ranges, cars with a low price that still make you feel like youre driving a beautiful luxury vehicle. They offered me a great deal on the car that I had come to check out. The price couldnt be beat, very low mileage, and it was in absolutely amazing shape. Not only that, but they kindly offered to fix the two minor incidentals that I noticed, as well as replace the two front tires. Kolby, my salesman, was totally accommodating and didnt hesitate to meet my needs. He made the actual car buying process quick, straight forward, and pleasant. I trusted the used car that I was buying him, and didnt have any of the reservations or worries that you feel at other used car dealerships. Not only did they throw on new tires and fix any minor details that I noticed, they registered the car for me, found me plates, and kindly directed me to stop a the gas station across the street on my way home to fill up with a tank of premium on them. I had a couple questions about the car the next day or two after I bought the car, and Kolby kindly answered all my calls and went above and beyond to answer any and all questions. This attention to detail is rarely found elsewhere and I am so grateful that I discovered D&C motors. This is my go to dealership.
