My husband, my 15 year old son and I went to Sunrise Auto Sales to purchase my son his first vehicle. When we first contacted Sunrise- they were immediate to respond- in fact they were available with any questions we had about the vehicle we saw on Craigslist and were interested in. We were coming all the way from Ashland so they were very accommodating. They were very kind when we arrived. They assisted us- let us drive the vehicle and we made a deal. I have to say that up until we left with the vehicle they could not have been more kind and attentive. We made several deals- one of which was that we took the vehicle on a Saturday and would pay it off by the following Friday via overnight mail. We followed through with this. 1st problem- They said they would do the same with the title this was not true. - after numerous calls to get the title (they had ALL our info so I do not know why we had to continually call...) but we were finally directed to a female- who left a message on my phone. I called back to find she was only there Wednesdays- but it seemed no matter how many messages I left she never called me back again- plus it seemed no one else could help me get the title to the vehicle even though they had already cashed my cashiers check for the entire amount of the vehicle now 3 weeks prior- On Saturday- exactly 30 days after the sale- I received the title in the mail (so I guess there was NO reason I had to speak to the female because I never spoke to her and I did FINALLY get the title)- I took the title to DMV the next day it was open- Monday and I was charged a late fee because it was over 1 month since I purchased it- which was totally their fault! 2nd situation- my fault though because I assumed that they would have ensured the vehicle had at least been current on an oil change- especially since they knew we were going to be driving over 6 hours the next day to return to our home/Ashland- but I have learned not to assume anything! - when I took it to get the oil changed when we returned to Ashland- it was 3 quarts low! Just in low/bad fluids we spent over $600- from minor maintenance that should have been the basic vehicle maintenance they did before selling the vehicle- they had a garage to fix cars at the lot- anyhow- after my numerous calls to see if they would refund any money because of this issue- of course those were all ignored! Sunrise Auto- Mark- and Mike- you have lost good customers- we have since purchases 2 more vehicles which could have been through you- AND we know plenty of people who we will NEVER recommend you to- all you had to do was treat us with respect- return our calls like you did before you made the sale- and be a reputable car dealer- but you are not- you made that clear in putting myself and my son and husband in a vehicle that didnt even have the basic maintenance- took you 1 month to send us our title- when we overnighted you your check as agreed upon- I do NOT recommend this dealership!

Name: Ole Hanson City: Redmon State: or Comments: I have been looking for a replacement vehicle for about a month; mine was totaled in an accident in November. I had done a lot of research and decided on which truck I wanted. I searched locally, Central Oregon, for one. The truck I wanted was a Nissan Frontier. I found a few of them locally but the price was higher than what I could spend. I made a couple of offers on one at a lot in Redmond, but they literally laughed me out of their office. I kept searching on line and found several that were up in Portland and started to make contact with the lots and get information on them. I had my search narrowed down to two trucks both in Portland. I was able to get the car-fax on both trucks via the dealers and had conversations with them both for a couple of days. I finally decided to lean towards the one on the lot of Sunrise Auto Sales in Portland. I talked with Zack several times and told him that I was 150 miles away and he would have to be my eyes and ears on the vehicle. He took it and drove it for a good test drive; he cold started it with me on the phone with him. He walked around the vehicle as I looked at the photos with questions he checked out the truck and each piece I had questions about he looked and answered. He sent me pictures of the tires via cell phone. He crawled under truck to double check for fluid leaks. Zack went over and above anything any car salesman had ever done for me. I was able to present on offer over the phone, from 150 miles away without a test drive, and we were able to come to an agreement for the purchase. Now I had not seen the truck nor drove it but with the conversations I had had with Zack I felt very comfortable that the truck was everything he said it was. I drove up to the lot, met Zack face to face we then went and looked at the truck, I did an inspection of the vehicle, started it up and looked at Zack and said "lets buy it". Everything he told me about the truck was spot on and true. Jim the finance person had everything in order and within 45 minutes of arriving at the lot I had signed papers and was on my way home back to Redmond. I cant thank Zack and Jim enough for their help and work on the deal. I was able to get the truck I wanted at a price I could afford and they were very helpful and professional in the way they handled the purchase. If given the opportunity I would highly recommend the drive up to work with these guys anytime. The next time I have to purchase a vehicle I would gladly spend the time to work with Sunrise Auto Sales. Thank you all very much Ole Hanson

Started great, no pressure salesman, friendly, helpful, kind, prompt. Once we got to the table, everything changed. We had done our research on the value of the vehicle we came for and the value of our trade through multiple sources. We knew what interest rate to expect due to our credit standing. After over an hour at the table, they wouldnt budge on vehicle price (listed 3000 higher than KBB, 2300 over NADA) PLUS the engine had been washed but obvious signs of a valve cover gasket leak were evident. They also insisted our trade was worth only HALF of the "rough trade in" value because it needed a paint job. When we pushed back on these terms we got "we have to make money too". We know this, its business, but raking it in on my trade AND the retail price PLUS interest... We were ready to leave. Many experiences like mine on YELP. Instead they agreed to consider raising the trade value or possibly changing the vehicle price, submitted our app through their lenders then told us we could leave and promised to call me back in a couple hours with news. We left and waited, three days later - no contact from them. Weve since withdrawn our app in writing, still no contact from them. Lousy experience, treated like an ATM, guilt tripped over credit, dropped like a hot rock.
