Went to open house, wanted $4000 for for lifetime membership at sign up and $198 a year after that. Lifetime memberships are one time payments, these people want yearly dues. Gave away $199 tablet as a thank you for coming(no strings attached). They flat out say Direct Buy as a whole typically gives away Kindle Fires but for this franchise owner that is just to expensive so they give away a knock off, which they say is 1/3 the price but still valued at the same price of a kindle(??????). This tablet sells for $80 from retail and about $40 on ebay. Its basically a paperweight. If this is how the value the thing the give away, imagine how they value the items they present during their sales pitch. I know of someone who has a membership there and they said its only worth it if you plan on building a new house and plan on putting the high end items inside. Any of the low to mid tier items they have can be found at the same price or lower if you look around and get good sales. It is only when you go with the ultra high end items that you will save a good amount of money. And you will never save the cost of membership if you do not do a huge update with super high end stuff. Stay away. Called corporate on their false advertising of the tablet and they were very concerned at first, now they refuse to take my call.

This place is the biggest scam. Very high pressure sale to get you to sign up, which costs about $2500 or so, they tell you that the price is only good for that same day, you cant take a few days to decide after the sales pitch. You really dont save any money if you do any comparison shopping at all. Most items can be found online for a better price than what Direct Buy offers.
