Ok, first, do not shop at Ashley Furniture. The ineptitude of the staff, from the manager down, is mind blowing. We ordered two leather recliners in February. The salesperson stated that they were being discontinued but that ordering them was no problem. A month later, our chair were delivered, except that they were upholstery instead of leather. It seems that the salesperson did this to several people, tell them that they could get the discontinued chair and ordering the cheaper upholstered chair instead. The manager wouldnt confirm this, but he stated having dealt with it a lot and that the salesperson no longer worked for Ashley. He, by phone, claimed to have the right chair ordered. Another month later, the delivery truck showed up with, SHOCK AND AMAZEMENT, the wrong chairs again. I accepted the chairs, but after trying to sit in them for a little while, they were terribly uncomfortable. We drove to the store in hopes of getting something that we liked. After all of this, they tried to charge us the difference in price between our original chairs and the new ones AND they wanted to charge us for delivery, again. To avoid losing it on the staff, I just asked for a refund. They stated that that wasnt a problem, they just had to pick up the chairs and then we could call in and have our money refunded. They claimed not to have the paperwork on the day they picked up the chairs on Thursday. Said that they would call on Friday. They didnt. Called Today, on saturday, and they tried to refund me $3,000 instead of the $1,000 that we were owed. Nice guy that I am, I informed them of the mistake. OF course they had to have the manager approve the change. They put me on hold and then hung up on me. NEVER BUY FROM ASHLEY! The "New Store", by the way, is where most of the problems happened. Finally got the refund put through. Please folks, dont put yourself through what I have.

I had previously bought furniture from this store, was very satisfied so I figured I would do business with them again. Was that ever a mistake! The furniture thatw as supposed to be delivered within 15-30 "business" days was 40 days in arriving. The furniture was delivered in 2 segments 2 weeks apart. When the first delivery was made, te delivery man asked "why we had cancelled the rest of the order?" It took several calls to the store to straighten this out. I was told it would be completed the following week and it was on the truck. Another error! Two weeks later it arrived. When it was delivered, my wife had to chase the truck down the drive because they had not attached the legs. Then before installing them, the crew got mouthy with me about it! Note: They will tell you when you call for an update that a manager will call you right back. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! Once they have your money, customer service is non existant. IF YOU TRY TO CANCEL THE ORDER, EVEN IF IT HASNT SHIPPED, THEY WILL TRY TO CHARGE A RESTOCKING FEE. I have been promised a refund of my delivery fee. That was over a week ago. Fortunately I recorded the conversation. I may need it for small claims court. I have tried calling the store several times today. They DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. Apparently they have caller id. !!! I WILL NEVER BUY FROM ASHLEY AGAIN !!!!

Our experience at Ashleys with Cindy was stellar!!! When we arrived, it was simply to do a quick walk through before heading to a store I had already found furniture I had my heart set on. However, Cindy listened to what we were wanting and led us to more than we could have imagined! We ended up furnishing our entire place because she was genuinely interested in leading us to exactly what we wanted and making sure that we got the very best price that she could offer us by working with her manager. Not only is Cindy now a close friend of ours whom we have spent time with outside of Ashleys, but she has continued to maintain professionalism in regards to our order by being patient when I changed my mind on the couches, which she matched in price even though it was more, but also by keeping us updated on the delivery time, and providing detailed information in regards to our financing that we had questions on. She really is fantastic and I would highly recommend her and the entire staff at Ashleys Corpus Christi! Thank you ALL so very much!

Found something we really liked. Absoltuly hated the sales person. I am in sales myself so I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Complete used car saleman approach. Very unknowlegable and some of his high pressure sales tactics a little insulting. But we really like the couch, so we agreed on a price and did it. I was thinking, this guy must be new and hes just trying a little too hard. Nope, he was the STORE MANAGER! Could not believe it. But of well, lets move on. He gave us a 3 weeks at the most estimate...we went in after 3 weeks, and the lady that looked up the account accidentaly told us it had not even been ordered yet. So then she tried to retract her statement...it was terrible Again I said to myself let it go, they will re order it and it will be her in 3 weeks. We go back in three weeks and they say oh well it will be another 3 weeks. They obviously forgot to order it again! And now I am trying to get a refund and its like pulling teeth! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE.

I have bought a dining table and chairs from them 1 1/2 years ago. We bought and payed for a couch, love seat, chair and ottoman the Friday before Memorial day. We were told 4-6 weeks for delivery. We called 3 weeks in to see if they had a delivery date, my wife was told 6/16. My aunt is taking the old furniture so we are trying to keep track of when the new will be delivered so we are not without furniture. We call a week before the 16th and are then told the 21st, a few days later its the 25th, and as of yesterday it wont even be at the store in Cuero till the 29th. When talking to a lady yesterday I asked to speak to a manager, she informed me there was nothing he can do and would not let me speak to him, until I mentioned getting my money back. When asked about a refund for the delivery fee my wife was already promised he informed me he had to ask corporate first. Regardless rather I get my refund or furniture, this is the last time I deal with these people. Go to Lazy Boy, my parents love them.

DO NOT SHOP ASHLEY FURNITURE PLEASE READ THIS: I purchased a expensive dining room set with 8 chairs. It was delivered at 8PM Friday and by 10:30 that night we could not stand to be in the house due to the noxious Odor from new dining room chairs. I suspect that it was coming from the fabric treatment they applied. The odor gave us headaches and a nauseated felling. We had to take the expensive dining room chairs outside to be able to remain in or home. We contacted the salesman and he said he would check in to it and have someone call us back but no one did. We finally called the corporate headquarters but they would not do anything about it. Their solution was for me to leave the chairs outside for a couple of weeks so the odor could dissipate. Ashley furniture would not replace or allow return of this defective furniture so I am just stuck. You need to carefully read their return policy which is deceptive and basically states that they won’t take items back no matter what.
