I have shopped at this store for my video game needs for 15+ years. For the majority of that time, it has been a fun experience. Video Games Etc. has a more mom-and-pop feel, for those who get tired of the more corporate options. This does not mean the selection takes a hit. New, old, and classic games are always on the shelves, going above and beyond other second hand options. Products seem to be checked well before being put on the shelves. I have rarely had to return games here. Recently, employee practice has caused me to give this location a 3 star. In the past, when purchasing a game at this store I would be asked if I wanted to preorder any upcoming games. Although it is an annoying question, I understand why its asked. Personally, I dont believe in preordering. Lately, however, I am approached by an employee during every visit. The usual "Can I help you find anything?" is asked, which I politely decline. At this point, I would suspect that there would be no further conversation necessary. Instead, Im asked what systems I have and what types of games I like. The employee leads me to the games for the systems I stated and points out what games I would like. This practice is both inconvenient and annoying. Call me antisocial, but I like to keep my shopping experience to myself. I know who and how to ask for help and I know where to find games for the systems I own. Please stop this annoying process every time I enter the store. It has caused me to avoid shopping at this location.

I normally dont shop here or other game stores; I usually stick with the big box stores or eBay. However, these guys had the one rare game I was really looking for which nobody else had locally or nearby. The owner even opened the store for me 30 minutes earlier outside their business hours, and was extremely helpful with all my questions. Customer service was much better for me than at GameStop - I received better, more insightful information and didnt have to deal with bad attitudes or pushiness. I bought more than just the game I was after. I bought a new system, accessories, and other games. I couldve gotten a better deal elsewhere, but I got what I was after all at once without any hassle. The return policy doesnt look very good but I dont plan on using it anyways. A good place to go if all else fails.

I tried to sell them my DS Lite + 5 Games & the R4DS, which is all virtually new, I have well over $300.00 in the system & games, the want to give me $78.00 or $95.00 in store credit. Then, when you go to buy a game system, they wont let you buy just the system you HAVE to buy a bundle with extra games & whatnot, so you spend way more money than all of it is worth together. Their return policy SUCKS, their buy policies SUCK, their warranty reimbursement policies SUCK, I am surprised they are still in business. They only do business because they advertise alot & people will be led like sheep to the slaughter! Open your eyes, look at big box stores, pawn shops & eBay before you look here! You can save money & have better customer service from anyone but them! Buyer Beware!

Sold me a game that didnt work. I went back and they told me to wait a few days so they can get one from another store. I went back and the disk looked like the same one and still didnt work. I went back again and they told me theres nothing more they can do.

I recently bought a game from this store, yesterday actually and it has a huge crack in it!! What kind of crap is that! You cant grab another copy from the back? I was a loyal customer of this place and they have lost my business for good.

Excellent little video store, certainly not a bad place to shop with all the nice employees that work there. They also give more money than Gamestop for trade-ins across the board!!!!
