They have cheaper prices for a reason. Food is almost always close to the expiration date, lots of the product isnt great quality and they always have an abundance of stuff that probably wouldnt even make it to the shelves at Big Lots. But, they run good deals with rebates and prices are generally pretty competitive. Youll always have trouble finding someone to help you and youll usually wait at the checkout lane for a while but lower overhead means lower prices. In other words, you get what you pay for. If you just need light bulbs and toilet paper you can get those things quickly and cheap; if youre looking to buy materials for building a new house, Id suggest going elsewhere.

After a recent ordeal with the company Menards (not just the West Lafayette Store) they have lost a very loyal and faithful customer who has shopped at their store since first opening in Lafayette. I know this will not bankrupt the chain but I refuse to give my hard-earned money to a retailer that does not respect their customers. This was my second issue with the store (both times West Lafayette, but both times "corporate" policy) therefore it is time to part ways. Truthfully I have always thought Lowes and Home Depot carry much better products and their staffs are more more informed.

Terrible service. I can spend an hour in there looking for something, and not a single employee asks if I need help. When I do find a person to ask for help, they usually dont know what Im talking about. One guy told me they dont sell drywall mud!

Store hours are incorrect on the website. Drove across town only to find that the store closed an hour early. So much for extended holiday hours.
