Im baffled by the good reviews. If only negative stars were possible. Ive lived in the area for years, and go here as little as possible. Heres why... The staff are literally hard to catch. They scurry about as if to avoid the annoying prospect of helping a customer. If you stay long enough to outwit one and flag them down, they will sigh or roll their eyes, or in some other non verbal way convey their displeasure with being stopped. After you ask your question (i.e., "do you have belt pulleys for garden tractors?") you will inevitably hear them answer with, "I dont know" followed by a long blank stare. At this point you have two options: 1. Stare back in the hopes that they eventually realize youre going to wait until they find out, and they will be forced to help. 2. Speed up the process and inform them you expect them to help by finding out. What inevitably follows can only be described as "bare minimum helpfulness". They get on the radio to ask. The person they ask never knows either, but they think maybe they saw some at the other end of the store. What you just heard over the radio will be repeated back to you, and then they turn away to leave. I have done this literally dozens of times over the years, and I dont think its been the same person any of the times. There must be some serious managerial issues here, their culture is the opposite of customer service. I avoid going here as much as possible, unfortunately there are some things that I just cant get locally without going through the process I described above. I get those specific items and buy anything I can get elsewhere, elsewhere.

Im a purchase of farm supplies in your Martinsville Indiana store. They said my tax exempt number was out of date even though I had filed one earlier this year. I am also a farmer and can use tax exemption as a farmer. I emailed Christy your office manager about the tax exemption and she never returned my email. Good customer service is the foundation of any retail operation. Yours definitely needs to improve. Thank you

I have one word for Rural King...Gina. If you need anything, ask Gina! Not one of the other three people that I talked to knew where anything was located that I needed. Gina deserves recognition for her outstanding, friendly, courteous service! She is a fantastic, helpful individual!

Do not buy guns here. I got a gun home and it wouldnt fire. I called the store and they told me they dont allow returns on firearms even when the firearm is defective. They told me they were sorry the gun didnt work, but that they werent going to do anything to remedy the situation.

Were at Ace to try to find the brass pipe cap that Rural K didnt have. Also looking for a roller for roller for the closet door that Rural didnt have. Too many spots on the shelves at Martinsville Rural King.

Its too hot in there. They let the store run out of Alafa pellets for at least two weeks @a time. The people who work there are awesome ! Respectful, helpful and under paid,over worked. Not enough staff .

Bought a Stihl Leaf Blower, got home would not run, they put the gas in it and everything. CAN NOT RETURN stihl products period. Store manager finally agreed on rural king gift card. What a bunch of BS.
