Bought a helmet for my girlfriend at the Chicago cycle show (2017), per the misinformation we thought she was going to get a second (smoked, as oppose to the clear one that already coms with the helmet) visor for her helmet. We came to this store and it turns out it was one of the bigwig district managers that made the mistake and gave us the wrong info at the show (unintentional false promise) well instead of these guys at there store saying sorry, too bad or return it if your not happy... They went far out of their way to get us what was originally (mistakenly) offered to us at no cost as stated. It took a little bit of time because they wanted to verify who we spoke with and what was said (understandable, anyone can just say I was told Id get blah blah blah for free), but once verified and confirmed they came through and we did not have to pay anything extra. VERY VERY stand up of them! Also while we were waiting for all this to get sorted out, I looked around the store a bit and I have to admit, their prices are veeeery reasonable (especially for Schaumburg) and in several if not most cases I noticed that their prices matched pretty much any online retail, even amazon. Bottle line, GREAT EXPERIENCE. Would definitely recommend!!!

** Update ** I was contacted by the manager who informed me that the issue was addressed. The contact was personal and sincere. I am updating my review to give the store another chance for next time I am in the Schaumburg area. **Original** Stopped in yesterday (8/1/15 at about 1pm) and the man with the long hair and beard was EXTREMELY rude! Drove me and my two friends right out of the store. We were going to purchase gloves, Bluetooth units and 2 helmets that we decided to purchase from elsewhere (anywhere else) after how incredibly poor of an attitude and RUDE this man was (not wearing a name tag). He constantly sighed when you would ask a question. When we asked to look at Bluetooth units he handed us the box of 2, we asked why the unit was so expensive and in a very angry manner he said "Its TWO units!" Then acted like it was the end of the world that he had to put it back and grab a single unit. I also overheard him making rude comments about customers that called via the phone to his co-worker. Will never even shop there again!

Not to many motorcycle specific stores around anymore so this is a welcome spot. They have a nice selection of products but fall short in inventory with different sizes. But everything can be ordered and delivery to the store or your private residence. The shop is very packed and feels busy. Its a tight squeeze in some spots. But all in all a nice spot. Prices are retail on most things and seems like their easily beat by Internet prices but the trade off is you get the product immediately and Im sure rent isnt cheap, gotta pay the bills somehow. If people dont support local businesses then places like this will disappear.

Poor quality products. Build gloves I bought there ripped on the second day (leather too thin) then I got a replacement pair, they ripped on second day too. I returned them. Bought a blue tooth helmet from the online store(they didnt have my size in stock). It is super noisy and the lid wont close properly. Cant return it to the store they wont take it back. Have to ship it back. makes no sense. Oh wait they charge for restocking fees and freight is your responsibility now it makes sense(have to keep it otherwise its more trouble to return it(going to give helmet away)). Dont buy built thats my opinion.

I must rate 2 stars because I had ordered some items and was repeatedly told i would receive a call as soon as the items were in. It has been about a month and they are still looking into the situation. I have my receipt and must wait again. by the same token I did buy a nice jacket from them and had to buy another set of boots as i mentioned my items(boots and pants) had not been delivered. I want to like the store higher because i know mistakes happen but come on guys i know you can do better. I will rate higher when I feel I am being considered important and a necessary customer.

Great customer service these days are hard to find, Ive been coming here to Cycle Gear for not very long. But i heard of this place from a friend, once i got a bike I purchased all my gear from here Great quality stuff for a even better price.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Each time Neal helps me out with recommendations and every time is the best person to go see for honesty options and questions when it comes to anything considering 2 wheels ect. I Will always be a life long customer bc of Neil and the taller grizzle man. Both outstanding people

My girlfriend found the exact size of helmet she needed, even though she needed a pretty unique size (XS). I also bought some saddlebags here. While their selection of saddlebags isnt amazing and is mostly house-brand stuff, since the bags didnt work out I was able to exchange them a few days later with really no hassle. I exchanged them for a beautiful pair of Dianese boots, and the salesman was quite helpful without being overbearing. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area needing a local moto shop.

Awesome store with a huge selection of gear of all types to fit all budgets. Not many places like this around the Chicago land area anymore for motorcyclists, where you have such a variety of gear you can try and compare to one another under the same roof. They dont have ALL the big name brands out there but definitely more than what the other shops/dealers have to offer. Eric, the sales associate there, was very helpful with answering all my questions. I would definitely recommend this place!

Since this is the only motorcycle gear shop in the area, they do not care about customer service. I have been in there several times and spent hundreds of dollars and referred multiple people there. Everything seems to be VERY over priced and the only reason why they have "sales" is because the product is most likely recalled. Over $300 in merchandise has been exchanged multiple times because of the poor quality. I wouldnt want my worst enemy to shop here!

One of the few places to buy motorcycle gear in the northwest burbs. They have a good selection of most products, but theyre definitely more geared toward sport bikes and dirt bikes. Helpful staff and they regularly have pretty decent specials. Ive yet to attend one of their bike nights, but I hear theyre pretty good and well attended.

Great place to hang out on bike night. The selection of industry products is good but not great. They do have an okay selection of helmets and gear. They have a good selection of parts and accessories. They do push their in-house brands quite a bit. Staff is very friendly and have a decent knowledge of products.

Great bike shop - theyre also hosting bike nights during the week with raffles, food, etc. lots of fun - they usually have what you need in stock though. If not, you can pay at the store and whatever item will ship directly to your house. Little pricy, but the selection and availability make up for it. A++
