I’ve been thinking about getting a Harley for a long time. I loved the look of the Heritage Classic but was actually looking for an Ultra Classic because of the back seat. I wanted my wife to be a comfortable and feel as secure as possible when riding with me. On Wednesday, February 25th, we went to Wild Fire Harley Davidson just to look around. While we were there we met one of the sales guys, Jeff Harness. He was very nice, not pushy, and I told him that we weren’t thinking about buying right away. He asked me what we were looking for I told him that I was looking for an Ultra Classic, between 2005 and 2007 with less than 30k miles for between 10 and 12 thousand dollars. He went back in and checked the inventory and came back out and advised us that he only had one like that in stock but would keep an eye out for me (after getting my cell number). We also browsed a Street model as my step daughter is thinking about getting one in the future. Then we left. A week or so later, as I was getting closer to actually buying, I was checking the web and found a bike that would fit my criteria at City Limits Harley in Palatine, which is under the same ownership or management as Wild Fire. It might have been the one Jeff was talking about previously. I called Jeff about this bike and he initiated getting it sent over to Villa Park. A few days later he called me (it was a Tuesday morning), and left a voice mail saying that he was on his way into work and that he would like to set up a time for me to come in that day and take a look at the bike (apparently it arrived in Villa Park the day before, Jeff’s day off). About an hour later I received another voice mail from him stating that the other salesman must have overheard him talking to me when we were talking about getting the bike over to Villa Park. Apparently that salesman had someone looking for something similar so, on Jeff’s day off, when the bike arrived in Villa Park, that salesman called his customer and the customer bought the bike that day. I never even got a chance to look at the bike. What a load of crap. I called Jeff and expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation. He indicated that he would have done the same thing for me. I told him that I would not want him to do that for me as I think it was very unethical and certainly not very good customer service. And why did I have to find the bike that the other salesman was looking for when it was located at their sister location. My wife commented that I should have received some of the commission for the sale. I think a fair policy would be to give the salesman who initiated the transfer of the bike to their store 2 days to have their customer come and take a look at the bike. After that 2 days the bike is fair game to any other salesman. Everyone is happy. It’s not rocket science. I since found an Ultra Classic at Arlington Motorsports that fit my criteria and I bought it. I am hesitant about giving Wild Fire any business, even future service work, based on the unethical practices that they have in place.

This place is the worst and the used bikes they sell are gonna get someone killed..I bought a 97 fatboy from them and had to put new brakes and tires on it the first week I had it then it was leaking gas and oil all over my pants every time I rode it,they insisted there was nothing wrong...after a month of going back and forth they told me it had a cracked head, after another month of holding onto the bike they told me it would cost me another 2000. to fix it,I said there was no way I was paying it so they said they would take the bike back if I bought a new one... we agreed on a deal I thought was fair and that was that...I got a new 2011 fatboy and they delivered it with a scratched tank the pipes I ordered were wrong 3 times after the third time they gave me store credit after I already put the cost in the financing...a year later I wanted something with bags I could road trip on and because of my own stupidity and not reading the contract I found out they gave me nothing for the first bike and totally took my 5000. down payment and had financed me for 8yrs witch I didnt even know was possible...To get out of the deal I bought an 05 heritage...I told them it needed brakes witch they had the nerve to charge me for...I said i was done with them and never went back...by the way THIS BIKE ALSO HAD PROBLEMS they dont inspect anything and once you ride off the lot its your problem

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST 5/19/17 This dealer is the WORST especially MIKE (Sales Manager) - I had a signed contract (WHICH I STILL HAVE) for an HD Ultra - just about out the door - The oil was dirty - did you do the inspection - NOPE - Lied about this - THERE IS A THING CALLED RIDER SAFETY.... then they pulled it in the back - they have to do it - told me 5 mins - turned into 15 PLUS - I had to pick up my Daughter from school - cold and rainy day - They dont care - its all about IRON - I got mad and told them they have NO F-ing respect for people (had 2 days to double check inspection) - Mike the sales manager kicked me out - DID NOT EVEN listen to MY SIDE - (he thought I was just a scumbag who was there with my friend I found out later - not the OWNER) But hey these guys swear all the time here - Cancelled the signed contract - What choice do I have??? - Mike even hung up on me a couple times.. (Were done he said!!!) I hope to God someone stomps on your dreams Mike! UPDATE: Talked to Jason the manager 5/20/17 - The disrespect and lies dont matter - The only thing that matters is the part where I got mad and caused a "SCENE".

Bought a bike from wild fire. 300 miles later motor blew. Come to find out the bike didnt have 29 thousand miles more like 129 thousand. The service department never went thru the bike which they admitted to. After a few long weeks they ended up putting me on a newer bike for more money which I wasnt really happy with but would have lost money any other way due to tax and tile. The bike I ended up with is a 06 bagger and had 17 thousand miles on it. Little did they tell me the warranty I bought would be no good unless I spend another thousand dollars to do the 20 thousand mile harley service. What a joke! That service should have been done or included with the sale knowing the milage of the bike. WAY TO GO WILD FIRE JOB WELL DONE! Yet screwing another customer. Now Ive owned the bike almost 2yrs and in those two yrs the bike has been in the shop 4 times and its always there two to three weeks every time. Needless to say I personally will not be giving this dealership or there sister stores another penny of my money. Also just my opinion but I think they are over priced on new and used bikes
