We purchase the Caterina coffee table from you Chicago location the end of December 2012. I have to say that I am extremely dissapointed in both the quality of your product and the customer service we received. The glass in the table completely shattered last night. Not only am I upset that we wasted $300 on a table that broke after only 3 months but is has also ruined the $500 rug underneath and has caused me to feel unsafe in my apartment as there are still glass shards that are hard to find to clean up. I called you Chicago store to see what could be done about this. First, I could hardly hear or understand the person on the phone. Secondly he said that since the product was discontinued and in limited supply a replacement could not be given to us. (Please not that we were told in December that the product was discontinued and in short supply). If the product is still in stock it should be replaced. Thirdly he told me that he could contact the warehouse to see if they had a damaged peice of glass we could purchase and would get back to me in a couple days. I have several issues with this statement. Why would I want to buy a peice of damaged glass when the first one broke so easily in the first place. Also, in my years of customer service I would never EVER let a disgruntled customer wait for 2 days for a response! Im completely shocked that this is how you choose to handle business. If the table is still available a replacement should be issued free of cost. If not a store credit should be given. I would assume most people like myself expect furniture that they purchase to last more than 3 months. Ive bought furniture from Target that is better quality!!! I dont see how you expect to continue to grow your business because you will have a lot of unsatisfied customers if your ways continue.

If modern / mid-century modern is your style, this store will fit your needs. Designs are fresh enough without being too crazy. Collections can be somewhat limited, but they seem to change designs frequently. The sales people we worked with were helpful. We ordered several pieces, including a TV stand, two cloth chairs, a console, a mirror and a coffee table. All products were delivered 3 days after ordering except the coffee table, which we knew was on back order. Delivery was "free" to Indiana, and even though we did not pay for assembly, the service assembled all pieces. Assembly was nothing more than attaching legs to a table top or a chair and was relatively easy. One piece did not go together correctly because of a leg piece that was too long and / or misaligned screw holes. We kept the piece at our home so we could work out our living room arrangement while they work on delivery of a new piece. Quality is okay, not great. Wood veneers are very nice and make the pieces but other details can be sloppy depending on the piece (i.e. metal legs dont have clean, finished ends, inside drawers are the laminated / flat pack Ikea style, one drawer doesnt close smoothly). Between design and quality of wood veneers we are mostly happy. Still dealing with delivery of a new replacement piece and the back-ordered coffee table, so may have updates to this review.

Modani Chicago, Good furniture, awful service. I spoke with Alexander who first told me that the delivery to our apartment was possible every day from 6am. First lie, I actually checked with the transportation service and they said that they do it in special cases at additional fee. They said the warehouse would call to arrange a delivery and after a few days waiting I called the store and let them know that I was still waiting for the transportation company to contact me. They said they would check and call me back, which they never did. I finally spoke with the transportation company and they said they only had my cell phone to contact me ( I had actually left my cell and email address and clearly said to Alexander that there is no reception in my office so to give them my email for contact in case they could not speak to me on the phone). Long story short, we walked in the store Friday the 31st and were told the furniture could be delivered tuesday the 4th, now the first available date after long calls and discussions is Tuesday the 11th. What a crappy service!

If youre looking for modern furniture, make Modani your first stop. Take this advice and you will not be disappointed. I made the mistake of first having spent countless, frustrating hours looking at different places only to find half-way decent designs with hefty price tags. At Modani, you will find the most modern collections that speak at once of class, style and elegance, and all at very reasonable prices. I had never before walked into a showroom and be amazed and inspired at the same time by item after item. I would visit Modani even if only to shop for ideas. If youre visiting Modani in Chicago, remember to look for Lena. Shes the most awesome sales rep Ive had to deal with over the past few months of furniture shopping all around town. She will go out of her way to help you with ideas, to find you the best deals and to help make your experience as pleasant as possible. Lena, if youre reading this, you are awesome! And thank you!

This is a late post but wanted to chime in on my experience. Went to the Modani Furniture Store in Chicago, IL early March 2017. The store as well as the sales staff were very impressive. The person I worked with was very knowledgeable of the product, friendly, and patient with my many questions. The product arrived at my home in one-piece on the desired delivery date. No scratches or any nicks that I could see. The handlers were very professional and helpful. They even assembled the product which was unexpected. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase and the whole experience. Will recommend this furniture store to friends & family.

Buying a mattress is lame but at Todays Furniture it was awesome! The owners are absolutely lovely people and are very happy to help and chat. I got an honest opinion about which mattress would be the best on both my back and my wallet. I ended up with a really nice queen size for $169! Delivery is free if the purchase is over $200, but I was happy to pay the additional $15 to get it sent directly to my apartment.Go here if you like cheap prices and nice people!

Tried to order two more dining chairs to match the 4 we bought a few months back. They said those chairs wouldnt be available until December! This is May....these are advertised on line, they were absolutely no help. The chairs arent anything custom.....ridiculous and unprofessional. Mark my words, the quality of this store is going down. Last time in the actual showroom, we were not impressed. Unhelpful employees. So disappointed.

Marc is the go to guy! He exchanged my dining table at no cost. Even though I didnt noticed the small scratch 2 weeks later. Everything else I received from the store has been perfect. The designs are modern, clean, and very reasonably priced. Marc always give me some deals, not to mention he is always friendly, knowledgeable, reasonable, and "classically french" :) . I would totally go back again for more items from Marc!
