I bought $3,000 worth of furniture; 3 sofas, center table, 6 chair dinning room set with the extra side table. This is by far the worst quality of furniture anyone could buy. I bought this furniture for my mother in July; she is a cancer patient so shes been living with me since August. Her house has been empty for 6 months and now that I go back to the house, the furniture looks like its 20 years old. The fabric of all 3 sofas is coming apart, the cushions look so soggy and worn down, all the arms of the sofas are bent as if a 400 lb person was sitting on them & jumping on them. They completely look used; they couldnt possibly have sold this as a new item. Even the assembly was terrible, the chairs rocked and the legs werent screwed on straight. The top of the center table is a 50 lb glass were the suction cups dont work which means the glass is not secure at all. My 1 year old son who has a pace maker is barely learning how to walk. It frightens me to death that this glass could slide off and fall on him. This is a huge safety hazard! The dining room table stains after you place ANYTHING over it. I bought this table to obviously eat on it and I cant even do that! Plates and cups leave stains on the table that cant be cleaned off, not by wiping it down, not by even spraying cleaners on it. The tops of all the marble imitation tables look cracked! I literally have cracks on my table. I called The room place customer service and spoke to a representative and 2 different managers Dale and Joyce. All 3 told me that theyll send an inspector to inspect the furniture and see if its a defect. Sure let me HAVE to waste a day out of work so you guys can inspect your crappy product! And also, that Im pretty much S*** out of luck with the table because they wont cover that. She said thats why I purchased a warranty. I purchased a warranty to use it on the long run NOT THE FIRST 6 MONTHS OF NO USE! The managers said they stand by their product... OBVIOUSLY THEY DONT! Defective? How does this all seem defective?? Its OBVIOUSLY TERRIBLE QUALITY! What is a warranty, or replacing a defective product going to do when theyre going to replace it with another low quality furniture. My moms 10 year old furniture looked better, safer and more durable! They dont stand behind their product like they claim. Theyll sell you VERY CHEAP & UNSAFE products, charge you an arm and a leg for it then tell you youre screwed. Im VERY DISAPPOINTED and would NEVER consider refurnishing my home at the room place. Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time and money in this place!!!

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. This one went down in history and I am beyond words. When my bed arrived- I signed off but didnt realize they put it together and were missing a piece and so they decided to drill 2 long screws through the wood of the rail. Mind you, the sharp screws stuck out of the side of the bed which then I sliced my leg and started bleeding. I called immediately and sent photos. I wasted a total of 4 hours on the phone. Their solution was to send me a new bed in 1 week but they were very rude about it and I would be stuck sleeping on the floor without a bed and company arriving on Friday. They told me to go to the store and request a credit. I went there today- same day of the delivery- Fred the Manager also argued with me and said, he was sorry for their mistake but that he wasnt allowed to give me a credit since It was already delivered. By then, I so was so angry that I cancelled everything but still had to argue with them to get my money back for their wrong doing. I am very close to calling my attorney, 1 for the cut on my leg & 2 for getting bullied and harassed by these people. There was a lot more to this that made me even more upset but this day just has to end. Lost out on an entire day of work, plus injury plus no bed to sleep on.

WARNING ⚠️ If I could give this company no stars It wouldnt be any This is the worst furniture store I mean the worst!! Furniture store the room place makes IKEA and cook brothers looks good. Do not step foot in this store ever they are scammers they wont fix your furniture when it was factory mess up I spent a lot of money in this store in they wont even fix the furniture thats factory defect. they have scummy drunk delivery guys handling your furniture bringing in your home they delivery guys bring you other people furniture in your home they tell you your furniture going to be out this day and youll be waiting a whole entire week for it. What may looks good to you may not be good for you. You pay for this protection plan and they wont even fix or replace your furniture.if anyone had any sense u will not waste your time or your money in the room place. This company is the worst company ever to do business with. They false advertise they lie they mislead and deceive the customers. DO NOT DO BuISNESS WITH ThEse people under no circumstances because you will regret every bit of it.

DO NOT EVER BUY FURNITURE FROM THE ROOM PLACE!! The customer service is TERRIBLE!!! 2 years ago I went to the room place looking for a leather sofa. So I found a sofa that has 3 section each reclines. I sent over 2500.00 and now I am having problems with the sofa. I also paid extra money for 5 year warranty that was a joke. 3 months ago I called customer service because one of my reclines stop working and does not close all the way. The customer service told me that it will take 6 to 8 weeks to get the part. So I called 3 times to see where the part is and it should have been delivered on Dec 10 and still no part. I cannot have anyone sit on the sofa because it is broke. Plus another issue I have is that the arm rest when I put my arm on it my arm hits the wood of the sofa. I called yesterday to the actually store were I brought the sofa and talked to the manager and I asked him what is the latest on my issue. He said he would call me back but guess what NO CALL BACK!!! I WILL NEVER BUY FURNITURE FROM THE ROOM PLACE AGAIN!!!

I just bought my first condo. I needed everything; living room, bedroom, dining room. Fred, the sales manager, at the Harlem store, was very knowledgeable, and had great insights for this first time buyer. Unfortunately, the sofa I selected just would not fit in the elevator in my building. I returned to the Harlem store where Luis took care of me. I chose a somewhat smaller sofa. As luck would have it, THAT sofa didnt fit in the elevator either! Now, understand that the guys who delivered both the sofas tried their best, it just wasnt to be. Returning to the Harlem store a third time, Mike stepped in, I ended up choosing a love seat. Mike was empathetic to my plight, and guided this third transaction smoothly and professionally. I really cant say enough about the great customer service that I experienced at the Harlem store. From the sales team; Fred, Luis and Mike, to the young women who handle the paperwork, I couldnt have been treated better. And the furniture is beautiful!!!
