Jeff is a true craftsman ... In addition to crafting and teaching hes written numerous articles for Fine Woodworking, has been in shows across the country, has received numerous awards, and can be found in museum collections. Jeff Millers first book, Chairmaking and Design (now out of print), won the 1998 Stanley Award for Best How-to Book. Ive been in his shop many times and taken his classes and have always found them to be top notch.

I took the chair class from Jeff in 2005. I was an experienced furniture maker at that time, but he taught me so much. Even showed me some problems I hard with tool sharpening, and corrected me. He introduced me to a whole new level of precision in my woodworking. Yes, I learned how to build chairs, but I learned so much more about joinery and fabrication. Thank you, Jeff. Mike C Plano, TX

Jeff Miller is a consumate craftsman / artist. His work may not be affordable for many, but an acquired piece becomes a family heirloom to be enjoyed by generations. He also offers excellent, affordable instruction in many woodworking skills. Probably the best known of all Chicago area bespoke furniture makers, and deservedly so.
