I live a block from this store. It is good for a quick trip but prefer driving the extra 2.5 miles to Whole Foods. I am disappointed with Wegmans. Their pricing is NOT cheaper than WFs and the quality has steadily dropped. They periodically re-arrange the inventory and it is up to you to go find them. This has been going on for several years now and it is annoying! Fish and Meat Dept quality has gone down, prices have gone up. Deceptive marketing: They have a sign on the meat display that says "all natural". I asked the guy behind the counter about the sign and he said that it doesnt apply but to one item on display!!! (thanks for the honesty!) The Bakery is basically a chem factory and some of their "locally baked" items dont even list the ingredients. The "Variety Danish 24Pk" has a list of ingredients so long, that it reads like a grocery bill receipt. What happened to plain and simple ingredients? I asked a manager about changing the price on the larger Rachael Ray dog food bags. They cost MORE per pound than the smaller bags. He said he would look into it several months ago... The flower shop is inexpensive but for a reason, the flowers have no smell. They also sell these plants in a pot with what you think is soil but is 100% filler. The plant is dead in a week. Nice marketing! Wegmans used to have the wine and beer shop downstairs. Now they moved the entire inventory up stairs and have taken over 15% of the store. The shop below is no longer used. They said they plan on using it as a storage area for inventory... must be for foods that never expire? I am seriously disappointed!

Filling prescriptions at the pharmacy can actually be a pleasant experience! After having multiple horrendous visits at multiple CVS locations, I decided to try filling my RXs at the Wegmans. My Rxs have always been filled at CVS - its convenient, there are multiple locations, and they usually have the drug in stock. But after experiencing terrible customer service (one CVS told me I could not wait to pick up the RX even though it was needed immediately), I decided to try Wegmans. What a different experience! Nick, the pharmacist, quickly input my info into the system, told me one of the meds needed to be ordered, told me they went thru my insurance as well as the secondary insurance coupons from the doctor. One of the secondary insurance coupons from the doctor expired and Nick mentioned I might be able to go to the manufacturers website to print a new one off. Not even 5 minutes after leaving, he called and said the website did have a rebate and gave me the webpage. CVS never would have gone above and beyond like they did! I will transfer all of my Rxs from CVS when theyre due for re-fills. CVS - you lost one valuable customer, and Wegmans you gained a lifetime customer!

This is my closest Wegmans so I go there out of necessity, although it is small compared to others. I often buy Wegmans whole roaster chickens but have repeatedly run into a problem: poorly sealed packages that leak raw chicken goo all through the fridge and across the kitchen -- a big safety issue. And since they arent properly sealed, I have to cook them sooner than the date on the package, assuming that date was based on a properly sealed product. Also, I like to buy two cartons of Hood Calorie Countdown chocolate milk, but the cartons dont slide to the front of the stores fridge properly so I often cant reach them (and sometimes there are none). Since this is one of a few products I cant find elsewhere, its an ongoing problem. The people are VERY friendly and helpful, but theres never someone around when Im struggling to get milk from the top shelf. I also once asked a store employee for help and he snapped, "After I show this customer what theyre looking for" as he rushed past. This was not recent but sticks in my mind for obvious reasons.

I love it here. I had heard so many good things about this grocery store, but never made the journey till today. The parking lot was crazy! Everyone was here, the parking lot was filled. When I walked inside, I was amazed about how large the vegetable/ produce section is. There are many different types of tomatoes, lettuce, onions, etc. I was able to get a lot of fresh veggies and there is an Asian vegetable section which was also great to see. I love how there are normal grocery products like foods you would see at your local Giant. There are nice fancy foods that you would see at a Whole Foods or a Trader Joes. This store has a great balance of everyday foods, supplies, and upscale foods. The cheese section is fantastic, I got a wonderful Swiss cheese today. The bread selection in the bakery is fresh. The wine selection is amazing, there are so many good wines and beers to choose from. I was afraid of waiting in a long line, but was in and out very fast.

1--Great Prices on everything on the shelves. Canned foods, pasta, paper products, sodas- all are consistently lower everyday than other grocery stores. 2--Gourmet selection and Prepared Foods are wonderful, but of course not cheap-but high quality. The bakery is amazing and you can get fancy foods for dinner parties. 3- Catering department is friendly, helpful and the price is great for what you are getting. 4- Amazing wine selection and best prices, even compared to online "discount wines". I fell in love with a wine that I had at Mortons so I ordered a case online, only to find that Wegmans had it for $1 less per bottle and no shipping cost!! 5- Professional and consistently high quality service. Not only is the staff always courteous, but they make sure all the lanes are open when the store is busy and they get you out fast!

I love Wegmans so very much. Its no longer my local grocery store, and I STILL come here almost weekly, from 15 miles away, through NoVa traffic, THAT is how excellent this place is! The sushi counter has a solid selection, the cheese counter has a phenomenal variety of cheeses (which they are more than happy to let you try), and the butcher shop, patisserie, bakery, fish counter, and coffee shop are set up like a European market place. Grab a cappucino, and fill your basket with fresh, delicious baked breads, reasonably-priced meats and seafood, fresh veggies, and just about any kind of dessert you can think of. Wegmans has it all: Chinese, Kosher, Latino, English, Indian, Thai, Greek, Italian, Irish, German - there is a little something for just about everyone here! (Plus a huge selection of beer and wine!)

Over-crowded, over-priced. The ready to eat items are poorly guarded, have seen on numerous ocassions people picking food from the buffet and eating it. Very un-sanitary, disgusting really. My wife and I used to visit here often, but on our last visit was harrassed by the management. Was attempting to buy groceries and a six pack of beer. I happily provided my ID (I am 32) but since my wife did not have her purse, they refused us. I asked to speak to a manager and was refused. Someone with a headset then followed us out of the store like we were criminals. If you are looking for a high-end experience to match the high prices Wegmans are charging, go to Whole Foods. It is only a mile away and it blows Wegmans out of the water.
