I bought a Certified Used 2015 Jeep Cherokee from Hayes Chrysler of Lawrenceville, Georgia. I arranged for my own financing before I went to the dealership. I told the salesmen that I had my financing already arranged through USAA. They still ran a credit report without my permission even though my financing was already approved. Since it was a certified used car with 37471 miles already on it, the warranty had already expired except for the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty provided by Chrysler. The dealership said that on all certified used cars the dealership provided a 3000 mile or 90 day warranty. They offered me an extended warranty that I would have truly love to have but just couldnt afford. This car was purchased so I would have reliable transportation to transport my wife to the Cancer Center for Chemo every week. I am retired and my wife is disabled so it is all we can do to make the payments on this vehicle let along any costly repair bills. Within a week after my purchase I started having problems with the car. When I started the car, the radio would come on at what appeared to be maximum volume and I could not turn it off nor adjust the volume. Even after turning the engine off, the radio continued to play for about 2 minutes while I stood outside the car with the key in my hand. After the radio went off, I restarted the car and everything was fine, so I just chalked it up to an un-explainable situation and forgot about it. Then it happen again about 6 weeks later but this time it was more than just the radio going crazy. the AUTO STOP feature stopped working and while the car was in motion the POWER STEERING FAILED. Surely this must be covered by the powertrain warranty! Of course the power steering restored and I was able to continue with our trip to my wifes chemo. I called the dealership and spoke to the service department, I was told that it was not covered by the warranty. This was very concerning since I was suppose to have the dealer warranty for 3000 miles from the purchase date. These problems happened before the 3000 mile warranty was concluded but they strung me along by telling me that it was not covered, and then told me that I should have brought it back while it was still under warranty but it is too late now since I have 3110 mile on it. I placed more that one call to the service department prior to the 3000 miles. I appears that this dealership preys on senior citizens and disabled persons. SHAME on you HAYES CHRYSLER OF LAWRENCEVILLE. They have no compassion or concern for a senior citizen with cancer that came to them for reliable transportation to go for CHEMOTHERAPY AND RADIATION TREATMENT.

BEWARE!!!! They ran a HARD credit check WITHOUT MY PERMISSION which is illegal according to the FCRA: [616 1 (B) in the case of liability of a natural person for obtaining a consumer report under false pretenses or knowingly without a permissible purpose, actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure or $1,000, whichever is greater.] Stephen Weatherly (manager), who was EXTREMELY PUSHY, WOULD NOT TAKE TWENTY "NOs" for an answer(!!!), DENNIS CHADWICK (who came back with numbers that made us question how he got so precise with), and Orolando McNair, who originally told me that they WOULD NOT run a hard credit check after my insistance that I did not want one ran, all were involved. When we finally,at 7:30 at night, had to tell Stephen that we have children at home who need us there now, he went on to talk about how unfair it was of people(meaning us) to let someone (him and his crew) do all the original work and then the potential customers go somewhere else to make a purchase. WE TOLD HIM FROM THE BEGINNING, EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED PRICE WISE, THAT WE WERE JUST LOOKING AND THAT THIS WAS OUR FIRST STOP. We see that his MO is through high pressure sales tactics. I already do not trust people, especially salesmen, but this unauthorized credit check went past the point of just lying to me - and went into the realm of messing with my family, knowing that my credit score could not afford another hard inquiry. My absolute worst fear of looking for a new automobile, has now come true thanks to these people who PRETEND TO CARE about my needs, until they realized that I was not going to sign. Feeling more than disgusted. Downright sick to my stomach over these people. Hayes Chrysler Dodge in Lawrenceville, GA has just lived up to the reputation of used car salesmen!

I do not like giving bad or fair reviews, but as always everybody experience is going to be different. My salesman was Tyler although he was nice as any dealership would be to lure customers in, I didnt like being lied to at all by him. Reason for coming in Tyler kind of pressured me to come in and check out black Friday deals. I told him I was upside down base on another dealership and he kept saying Hayes finance can work out any deal better than any other dealership, ok went in that was not the case, instead he tried to get me into a Chrysler 200 although they are ok vehicle but they not good on crash results base on consumers that been injured in them. I didnt want that. Tyler didnt offer anything else like additional down payment, nothing.. This left me with a very bad taste for not following my first mind.... For my reviewers, check your credit 1st, be at a 700 or above lenders be willing to push a deal for you, or make sure youre not severely upside down in your trade. Dont waste your time coming in being lied to by sales man saying they can do this and do that for you when the banks have the upper hand on lending no matter how long dealership been in business, only to be disappointed and now you have more inquiries on your credit file that may lower it. Last, come in with a good down payment this dealership will race to get you a deal. Better yet any dealership.. one good saying money talks.. Lesson learned my credit will be repaired from this error I made coming in, but I will shop for lenders online before coming in to dealership is the smart way next time. Score was good rating by the way in upper 600s.

My experience with the service department has been the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. First I call to see if I dropped my car off would I be able to get a loaner car. He asked how many miles I had on my car I told him exactly how many miles and he said ok we can get you in a rental car for a day. So I take my car up there but when I get there he states no your warranty is up so you cant get a rental. So Im like ok how do I get home this is my only vehicle and you said I would be able to get a rental. So Im outside waiting for my phone to charge and a polite gentleman came to move my car for service and asked me did I have a ride home. I said Im trying to find someone now. He told me to go back inside and tell him that you want to use the shuttle service and I will take you home. I was so greatful for him because he was the only one that was concerned about the well being of the customer. The advisor didnt give a crap and Im about to pay for my car to be serviced. Its $100 to diagnose the problem plus whatever the amount is to fix the problem which wasnt explained because other dealerships I have dealt with in the past tell you that the charge will go towards fixing the car if you choose to let them fix it. Im gonna be out of $100 but Im picking it up today and I will never take my car back there again. I will take it to a company thats shows some true customer service. If you take care of your customers your customers will take care of you by returning for business.
