I have always been one of the biggest apple proponents but in recent years the retail customer service has dropped tremendously culminating in my last visit. My cousin lives in Panama and asked if I could bring him a laptop since I will be going there. He ordered it on my account so I could go pick it up. When I get there they tell me I cannot pick it up since its under the card holders name and we dont share a last name even though its on my account so I speak to the manager and he says that my cousin needs to call apple from panama. I told him he cant call apple because its my account so he wont be able to talk to them concerning an order on my account. I logged in and showed him my order, showed him the response email, had my cousin text me his card and ID WITH HIM IN THE PHOTO and offer to FaceTime to show that its actually him live and still the manager said no. What is the point of having a manager there if not to make judgement calls. It was clearly evident that my story completely checks out but whatever he still didnt help out. He said to cancel the order and order it again. So I cancel the order and get my cousin to add his card to my apple pay and then I ask the manager to let me pay for the order like that. He said no because that computer is reserved for online orders so HE COULD NOT SELL ME THE COMPUTER THAT I HAD ALREADY ORDERED. I said fine I am going to place the online order right now can you please make sure its expedited given the fact I am standing in front of you and the current circumstances to which he said he could not because that is handled by the online store. So I place the order anyways from my phone standing with him and then ask him to make sure I can get it. He said I must have missed the alternate pickup field since its more difficult to see on the phone that I had to place it on rather than a computer like it was originally placed on. So he was telling me that I have to do it again... EVEN THOUGH HE WATCHED ME PLACE THE ORDER. HOW MUCH MORE VERIFIED CAN YOU GET?!!!!!!!! At this point I am astonished at the lack of help the manager was giving me as well as the apparent fact that he could not at all use any sort of his judgement to solve problems just like these. What is the point of a manager then? Seriously, why have one that cannot solve advanced or complicated problems? He even had the audacity to look at me and tell me that hes not trying to have me jump through hoops... Yeah ok. I go to order another one with myself listed as the pickup person but at this point my cousins card is getting declined from the 6k in apple charges placed in the past 2 hours so instead I ask my other cousin to come pick it up who has the same last name as him. I leave and my other cousin goes to pick it up with the order number but now the manager is saying that it needs to be the full name of the person. So now I call apple support and have them put my cousin who is at the store down TO AUTHORIZE HIM TO PICK UP AN ORDER I AM NOT EVEN AUTHORIZED TO PICK UP AND IT WORKED. All seems like it is about to be solved when my other cousin who is now authorized is told that the computer is actually not ready and to come back at 3pm tomorrow. I ask him to explain more and he said that is all what is told. The apple store opens in a couple hours. I cannot wait to see why this order could not be picked up after that.. Stay tuned.. I have never had a worse experience in any retail let alone apple which although after declining in recent years has always gone above and beyond for their customers. What a shame. This store is the worst and that manager should not be a manager or even work there.

Went to the Apple Store in Dadeland mall to ask about buying a new iPhone 7 plus. Employees everywhere were just hanging around talking amongst themselves with crowds of people milling around. I had to interrupt them to ask about buying a new phone. I was told to leave the store and go outside to a line and wait to speak with an employee outside in the mall. After waiting there for 20 minutes, I was escorted back into the store. The employee with me had to wander around looking for someone to help me. He finally paired me up with an employee who had never done an iPhone purchase and activation before, which was ridiculous. We then had to wait for someone to go get the new phone from the back. During this time they had me stand next to a DJ booth they had set up blaring out loud music over the crowd of people in the store. There was also another apple employee trying to teach a class with a loudspeaker screaming over this noise. We got the new phone, then went through the painful activation process. At the end of the activation, the computer reverted all the way back to the beginning of the process and started asking for my name again. The employee said sometimes this happens and we have to start again. I walked out-no sale. I have been an apple fan for years. I must say that apple has indeed lost its original way of doing business that made it so good. You used to get english speaking live customer service in the USA when you called. Now you get forwarded to a third party company in India. You used to get prompt solutions to any hardware or software problems. Now you stand in lines, get misleading information, and the run around-no problems solved. You used to walk into a cool looking store and you could ask anyone for help. You would get friendly, knowledgeable staff to help you immediately. Now you get pushed from one employee to the next, all miserable and incompetent, loud noise everywhere. Such a shame. Apple needs to listen to what reviewers are saying! I would never return to this store.

The worst apple store, I had problems with my iphone and had under warranty. "They supposedly under Apple warranty will offer you new iphone when your iPhone get damaged" but the iPhone was given to me in a term more or less than a month, I had to change 5 times by different problems, (5 different iPhones) means you get iphone that have been REFURBISHED OR RESTORED, NOT AND NEW IPHONE. Thats disrespectful to the client, making you waste your valuable time. They dont know about protectional ethic. El peor apple store que existe, tuve problemas con mi iphone y tenia bajo garantia. "supuestamente ellos bajo la garantía de apple te ofrecen nuevos iphone cuando se dañan"pero el iphone que me fue dado en un termino de menos de un mes lo tuve que cambiar 5 veces por problemas diferentes, (5 iphone diferentes) significa que te dan iphone que han sido REFORMADOS O REPARADOS, y NO NUEVOS. Eso es una falta de respeto al cliente, haciendole perder su valioso tiempo.

Today I went in to the Apple store to switch my non working iphone with a new one. I had already prepared the paperwork to pick up the iphone, my id and everything. As soon as I get there they send me in the direction of an apple employee who starts the transaction overall no problem. However when it came to setting up the phone he said "Oh it has no battery" and redirected me to one of the tables to charge it. I soon realized the charger was not working and he had already left and made no effort to check on me as I tried to tell him the charger was not working, I therefore ask another employee who tells me "you can just charge it from one of the iphones that are on display" apart from being uncomfortable as that is not the designated space to charge the iphone I went anyways because I needed the phone to work in order to get home as my only ride would have been an uber. At this point it was 12:35 Over an hour later no employees had even looked at me or approached me and since I could not leave my phone alone I could not ask for help. The iphone had been taking over an hour to set up and I was forced to unfortunately miss my university class that I had at that time, this processes continued for 50 more minutes. After an hour and fifty minutes my iphone was finally set up, no employees helped me or checked up on me to ask me why I had been standing there for so long and I had to miss my class as I could not leave without uber being installed on my phone. Terrible service. If I ever have issues with my iphone again I would not recommend this store to anyone.
