No one buy cichlids at Leesburg Pet Center. I bought a blue regal who died only a day after bringing him home. They tell you when you buy the fish that if anything happens to them in 7 days, you can bring them back with a water sample and get a refund. I brought the fish in with a water sample, and the owner lady laughed at me and told me that my cichlid is chewed up and thats why its dead, therefor she wont refund it. First off, his fins were barely chewed on, and second off, he was only chewed because he died and some of the fish were chewing at his dead body. When I told her this, she laughed and told me I dont know what Im talking about and that Im wrong. I have a tank full of happy and healthy cichlids, along with many other types of fish. I have purchased a good portion of them from this store in the past. But after this happened, I will never shop there again. If I could leave 0 stars, I would.

I returned a $6 fish that I bought on Saturday found it dead in my 90 gallon tank on Tuesday, I took a sample of water which tested fine but the sales person said I need to wait for the manager to come back from brake, after waiting about 20 minutes the manager told me he couldnt make a decision to replace the fish because he didnt know if the fish was beat up before it died. He said I could come back and speak to the owner another day because he would get in trouble if he replaced the fish. I say if you dont know the right thing to do is to replace a $6 fish, when you are telling you customers if their fish die within 7 days it will be replace, then you should be cleaning the fish tanks. Ive been shopping there for over 20 years, I bought my 90 gallon tank setup there and lot of things. But now Ill only buy feeder fish because your word means nothing.

Bought a lot of supplies for our new ferret. I was skeptical about getting a harness and specifically asked if it could be returned in the event it didnt fit. Was told yes if I kept the packaging. Needless to say the ferret was out of it in less than 3 seconds. Took item, receipt, and complete packaging and was told could not return because it had ferret hair on it. Will not shop here again! Clearly customer satisfaction means nothing. I would have left the thing laying on the counter but Im quite sure she would have packaged and resold.

I bought a hamster there 18 mos. ago. She was the most friendly hamster I had ever owned. She recently died and I was pretty emotional about it. I attribute this to the fact that they are brought up in an open enclosure where you can pet and pick them up. I found the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. This sure beats any of the chain pet stores. I am going to buy 4 more for my grandkids who loved my hamster "Miss Kitty"

Got so much help from Leesburg per center! Everyone I know always comes here and I only hear good things. My fiancé and I bought a sweet and healthy bearded dragon with Kevins help. He knows everything there is to know about reptiles. Very friendly staff and needed to return and exchange a few items a few days later and had no problems. I highly recommend to anyone in the area.

That Cihlid Guy!

Worst experience in the world was clearly charged for wrong fish and there answer was it is what it is! Seriously! Clearly just a simple error so upon admitting I was correct had no intentions of correcting the problem so got money back and left with no fish and a sour taste in my mouth. Beyond me just idiotic and clearly a showing of how valuable customers must be to them!

I love the animals there...but the people that work there I find to be very rude and unfriendly...mostly the younger ones...also I dont think this store is very kid friendly either!!! They look upon children as if they are always gonna touch something...n guess what?? Thats not always the case people..there are parents out there that watch their children in stores....

Have done a ton of business with this store, nothing but good to say. Know what they are talking about, prices are decent, not the cheapest but quality is good. Danny is a real plesure to deal with and knows his stuff. owners are nice and easy to deal with. Busy place but always get great service.

I was sold a bird that was suppose to be a male it is clearly a female and store manager had promised to exchange it for a male when I brought the bird back the manager said it was a male and refused to exchange it worst place to buy a bird please do not trust this store

I Like this shop a lot. They are so nice and helpful and they take care of my bird all the time. They are so good with him. They trim his nails and his wings every time I come in at no charge. And they have the food that he loves the most.

I dont know who the guy David is but he was very rude to my wife and embarrassed her in the parking lot in front of other people that were around and when I called to ask him about it he was very rude, belligerent and kept interrupting me

Great selection of birds and bird supplies. Bird cages, toys, stands and food are good prices. All their birds were people friendly and hand trained. Staff was knowledgeable, helpful and very nice.
