I purchased a 12 year old F150 from Florida Auto Exchange on December 10th. I had been looking for an older used pickup truck to pay cash for. I found my truck on Autotrader and it looked immaculate in the photos and led me to drive over an hour to this dealer. Upon arrival, the truck did appear to be in good condition and after a quick test drive, I chose to purchase it. The purchase price was not listed on line and when I called to inquire, was given a price over $2K over NADA value of the truck in excellent condition. The salesman, Jason, quickly came down to what Florida Auto Exchange felt was NADA. Once I decided to pursue the purchase further, the typical, old school car dealer tactics came out. "We cant sell it for that price." "We have to make some money." "Let me go talk to my guy." Then Jason disappeared and the sales manager, Dick came out who showed me a supposed invoice of what they paid for the truck at auction, which they agreed to sell me the truck for. I doubt this was what they actually paid. I was frustrated though that I still had to go into the office of the "finance manager" despite the fact I was paying cash. Her name is "Joy" and she is not one. She was borderline unfriendly during the actual sale transaction and straight up unfriendly on a follow up phone call I made regarding my registration being handled. All in all, the transaction was ok and typical of a traditional used car dealership (still waiting on my registration and the paper tag is up this week). After having the vehicle for 3 weeks, I would caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here to look it over VERY well and potentially have it checked out by an independent mechanic before purchasing. I understood going into this that I was purchasing a 12 year old vehicle, however in the time period Ive had the vehicle, Ive realized that it would probably be classified as "good" and not "excellent" as they presented it (their detailer is VERY good). Ive had to do a $120+ mechanical repair in the 3 weeks that Ive had it and the rear window leaks (upon closer inspection it can be seen that this leak has been band-aided previously). Used car dealership with a used car dealership experience. An OK place to purchase a decent used car, but caveat emptor.

I advise you to NEVER even step foot in this place. They will try to sell you a car that is WAYYYY over priced and will lie about everything as youre signing papers. My fiance purchased a 1997 lexus from them (before we got together) and they financed him at $9,000 for a car that was over 10 years old with ridiculous miles. He was ready to get into anything so he agreed to it; after having the car for 2 years and after having our child we decided he needed a more reliable car and they told him he could come in and they would help him... we told them we couldnt afford anything over 300 a month (since we have another car payment as well) and that we werent spending more than 11,000 on a car... he found a mercury that he some what liked and they said after everything was said and done he would only owe $10,000 on the car... he asked MANY TIMES if that included interest and everything and they told him yes every single time. He went back 2 days later to finalize and asked the same questions all over again and they still said yes he only owed them 10,000 for the car. After his first payment he got his statement saying that his payoff was somewhere around $16,000. I understand that its partly our fault for not reading every single word in the contract but jesus where do they get off thinking that they can lie when you ask them a very direct question; to me that is just as shady as you can get. They sell junk cars with high miles way over priced and prey on people with little to no credit; not to mention their customer service is the worst and they are SOOOOO RUDE! I would never recommend this place to anyone... and I will continue to leave bad reviews; and tell people how shady they really are.

I would never recommend Florida Auto Exchange to anyone. All they care about is the sale and worst part is they lie. Took the car back the day after I bought it to have the brakes looked at for an air noise coming off the brake petal. The mechanic told me nothing was wrong. 2 weeks later the break light was on the check engine light. Come to find out the power booster was bad. I had to pay $250 to have it fixed as the car was sold as is. Then 6 months later was pulled over and the cop told me that the tag was not registered to my car & to immediatly get his addressed to avoid getting pulled over again. Went to the DMV on my birthday to have my registration renewed and the Manager of the DMV office told me that the car registration was voided at the time I purchased it. Also, suggested that I go back up to FL Auto Ex. and let them know. I was treated so rude and they put a dealer tag on my car and told me they would call me the next day. Never heard from them so I filed a compliant with the DMV Inspectors office and a month later it is still dragging on. These people are crooks & can not be trusted at all. Absolutely do not consider this place when looking for new car.

I wouldnt like to even leave one star. But I have no choice. This dealership thrives on people with ruff credit and they will take anyone. After purchasing a car from them "to build my credit" I thought it was a smart idea. I have had nothing but issues with them. Having a truck for almost 3 years I NEVER missed a payment Or was even a day late. NEVER!!!! When I bought the truck they stated they are the best at rebuilding credit and that they report. THIS IS NOT TRUE or at least IT WAS NOT FOR ME. I called numerous times to ask why they were not reporting and months after months I received the same excuse. The excuse was "we are currently moving to another credit bureau" and they will show up in a month or so. Again this went on and on and on. I had a few issues with the truck in the first week and trying to get them to do anything was like pulling teeth. Very painfull. I have a good feeling a lot of these reviews on here with good feedback recently was people working for the dealer or friends of owner. LISTEN TO ME WHEN I SAY RUN FROM THIS CORNER SHITHOLE!!!!!!!!!! RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

My family and I were looking at Ram 1500 (d14145) stock number that we were very interested in and had a limited funds we were approved for the truck but they would not nagotiate on the monthly payments with us so we started looking else where for a family vehicle and we have found truck in better shape with less miles and for the same amount of money and less money. As a matter of fact we passed by this dealership today 07/06/17 and this truck in question is STILL sitting on their lot as of today just taking up space. Well here it is August 19 2017 And the truck in question IS STILL SITTING on the lot and I have only been contacted 1 time by someone at the dealership. As we were told by the general manager "Trucks like this dont last long on our lot" well I guess that was a lie because it has been over a month and the truck is still there. Feel free to contact me regarding this matter. :/
