We came into Space Coast Honda to look at a 2012 Kia Sedona that they had listed online. We had our 4 week old baby and our 10 year old son with us. After looking at the car we told them it was nice but the tires needed to be changed and there was a broken wiper blade in the back but that part wasnt a big deal. The sales person Will told us that he would change the tires out and the blade if we are interested in getting the car. We left and came back. After we came back we took the car for a test drive-that was 4 p.m. We decided that we were going to purchase the car. We started the paperwork and everything seemed fine. They found us an interested rate and we were okay with that. They even put that interest rate on paper and we were almost completed with paperwork. All along I had asked about the tires being included and every time we asked we were railroaded etc. So, as we were signing I asked about the tires and they said well we are not going to do the tires because we are giving you 1,000 more on your trade. Of course, they never mentioned this while we were doing the numbers for the trade plus they were getting a deal on the trade! We ended up walking out after being there from 4.pm. until almost 8 p.m. Now we are three days later and they call my husband. The salesperson Will told him that they would actually move up in the amount they were going to give us on our trade. They increased the money they were going to give us on our trade $1300.00. He said the price on the car we were going to purchase would be the same and the interest rate would be the same too. So, we decided to go ahead and do it! We loaded up all three kids and went down there after work. When we got down there suddenly the numbers on the contract had changed. The price of the car was now $17,000 (supposed to be $12,500) and the interest rate went up. They said that they had to play with the numbers in order for the bank to approve the loan. They wanted the car to appear like it was worth more to the bank than it really was. We then asked them what happened to the interest rate that we had the other night. They told us that the interest rate we thought we had never really existed that they never had approval. They insisted that the numbers were still the same but they had to tweak things to make it work. We were not going to pay for an interest rate that was 3% more than was originally told to us on a contract that we were almost done signing until the tire issue came up. We were not going to sign a contract for a car that was not showing more than it was really worth. I would tell anyone that is looking for a car please beware of this dealership. Beware of their shady business practices and their dishonesty. You dont want to waste your time at a please that plays a number game. It is not worth risking your credit nor is it worth risking your finances. If you do go to Space Coast Honda make sure you look over those numbers. What they tell you verbally can and probably will be different from what they are having you sign. I would definitely never return to this dealership again. I will also be contact Honda corporate office to let them know about the service we received. A dealership that has such horrible business practices should not have any type of presidential award that they are so proud of.

I was a customer of theirs for over 10 years and Ill never go there again. I brought both of my Honda vehicles there for years for their over-priced maintenance and repairs. Then they "serviced" one of my cars poorly (an Odyssey) so I would have no choice but to replace it. They also added a bunch of "recommended" repairs to force me to make up my mind. The Service Manager himself (Julio Raimundo AKA JR) suggested several times that I talk to Fil Catania from Sales to see what kind of deal I could get for my broken (and now very depreciated) car but I kept telling them both I wasnt interested in buying a new car at that time. When I tried to have the car towed to have it repaired elsewhere, they told the tow truck driver that I did not pay my bill and they could not release the car. This took place several hours after the Service Manager (Julio Raimundo AKA JR) personally walked my bill to the cashier where I paid it in full. I had to return on the following Monday (taking take time off from work) to try and have it towed again, and thats when I found out about their dirty tricks from the tow company dispatcher. When I confronted JR he tried to laugh it off as some beef the towing company had with them. No apologies or nothing. On top of that, both JR and Fil the Salesman came out to watch my car being put on the flatbed. In the end I had the car repaired for half of the cost the Space Coast Honda Service Department wanted and also found out that most of their "recommended" repairs were bogus. I now bring my cars to a local garage for maintenance and repairs, which has saved me thousands of dollars over the past year. The actions of the Space Coast Honda Service Department and their Sales department have caused me a tremendous amount of grief, frustration, and expense. I tried to contact the owner (Scott DeMasso) to inform him of the poor customer service I received from his employees and also sent several letters but I never heard back from him. Space Coast Honda has lost my business PERMANENTLY and I consider myself an "Ex-Customer for Life". In the end they lost out, because I recently purchased a 2017 Subaru Forester which is an awesome car. I had to learn my lesson the hard way about dealing with this business. I hope you dont have to too. P.S. If you purchased a car from them and they put that tacky "Customer For Life" license plate holder on the back of your car, basically you are giving them potentially thousands of dollars of free advertising that you will never be reimbursed for. They should be paying you to do their advertising.

For the benefit of anyone who might be wondering about this establishment, here is my response to the last customer service follow up. "I was far from satisfied with my recent service experience. I brought my car in to have you look at a problem with overheating. Your service department diagnosed $4600 dollars worth of "necessary" repairs on my old CRV. Most significant was a suggestion to repair the head gasket. Among other repairs listed was an oil pan gasket, which you all replaced just over a year ago. The thermostat was not on the list of repairs. Neither was a disconnected heater hose, and a pinhole leak in another hose. My husband and I have been bringing our cars to your service center for the last 4 years, --ever since we bought a house on Merritt Island. Your place is relatively close and we both have older Honda vehicles with high miles. We understand that it is important to get the cars serviced regularly. Your service department seemed honest and responsive to our particular concerns, so we kept coming back. However, in the last year things have changed radically in terms of personnel and the nature of customer care. After I looked the repair list over with my husband, we retrieved the car. My husband and son looked it over, and then we took it out to our old mechanic. He checked the car over. He repaired my vehicle, changed the oil and took care of a number of other items. The bill was not a tenth of what you presented to me. We let him know you said the head gasket needed to be replaced. He went back and checked for us and reported no such issue. When I tell my story, friends shake their heads and say theyve been hearing the same types of things for the last year. I dont know if your service department is incompetent or just driven by plain old greed--looking after the old bottom line instead of the customers who sustain your business. What I do know is that youve lost three customers---for life. Dont bother calling us."
