I have been doing business with Ramon, the owner, for close to 30 years. For the most part in years past Ramon always struck me as an excellent mechanic and a good friend. In the past few years my experiences with his shop and business practices has dwindled. Seems as though the tail is wagging the dog over there and his experience is not present most of the time as he is not present. On several occasions I had to take my car back as service was not done properly. He was always courteous to me and stood behind his shops work. BUT, there is an inconvenience factor involved. As a friend I still used his services on my Import cars when needed. I have few cars and drive very few miles a year. It just seems as though Ramon is not on top of his business as he once was. the . When I asked him or voiced my concerns over this PRESENT matter of installing trans fluid and filter before a trans repair as I , as well as any novice would, know the fluid and filter would have to be taken back out for the repair. His response was "we can reuse the Trans fluid and filter after the repair". This struck me not only as irresponsible but labor conscious as the trans service was not necessary before the repair. PLUS there is a contamination factor to reusing the fluid. When I pointed this out to him he told me that is what I told him to do. Why would I or anyone else ask a mechanic to perform the same task twice??? I was polite in my concerns and he told me "TO GET MY CAR OUT OF HIS SHOP AND HE NEVER WANTED TO SEE ME AGAIN" Needless to say , Ramon was more than a Mechanic to me I thought of Ramon as my friend. I am deeply hurt by his actions of this morning and found it necessary to vent my concerns for him and his business. I am not a mechanic but I am an enthusiast and take my cars to heart. When issues arise I have a tendency to read all I can in the different Mercedes Forums , not to second guess the work that was to be performed on my car so that I may get more knowledge about my cars as I keep them for many years.. Evidently in sharing what I found in my research and questioning this person he took offense. For that I am sorry. But, no one in business should treat another as I was treated this morning and actually my feelings are hurt. I just did not lose a mechanic today, that I once trusted, I lost a good friend. Would I recommend Bavarain Auto to another? Most likely. BUT, beware to who works on your car .I guess in my case the old saying goes "FAMILIARITY BREEDS CONTEMPT" . And I now know the way I was treated and the way this shop was working on my auto was wrong. I saw the girl who runs the office looking for a used part on e bay. A part on the Mercedes 722.9 transmission that has a tendency to fail. A used part would have just brought an issue down the road for me. I treat and maintain my cars that when I do sell them I am proud of the way I kept them and feel a sense of responsibility to the next owner that they will enjoy my cars as I have. The last Mercedes I owned for 16 years. The present one I have owned for eight years and plan on keeping it for many years to come. Long story short I found a reputable gentleman/shop that offers a repair/rebuilt service for the part I needed with excellent credentials. The part was 25% 0f the part quoted me from Bavarian and when asked of the origin of the part to be purchased for the repair on my car the owner, Ramon, got very abrasive, as mentioned. I fully understand that it is expensive to maintain a shop and respect the efforts small business owners have to make as I was a small business owner myself for years. I understand people are in business to make money. BUT, what is fair is fair. I sure do miss the days when complete honesty was the only policy and today ,especially being on a fixed income, I have to watch the pennies so as they say" the dollars will take care of themselves" GOOD LUCK TO BAVARAIN AND HIS STAFF. I went to Bavarian Auto Center with an issue concerning the seat on my BMW. I was sold a part for my seat and they installed it for free. They then put me in touch with somebody who does interior repair. He did a good job repairing my peeling door handle and charged me a reasonable price. So far the workmanship has been good on the repair. I visited this establishment another time and they tried to sell me on a 50k mile check up on my car. I later found out from the Melbourne BMW dealer that my car didnt require a check up at 50k miles. I asked them on a quote for some body work. I decided against having body work done when I found out that they primarily use Maaco for their bodywork. One thing I appreciated was that the diagnosed my BMW for free when the Melbourne BMW dealer wanted to charge me $137. They also offered to replace a sensor on my car for a couple hundred less than the BMW dealer. All and all I think this place is pretty good value and Ill continue to go here for light maintenance on my vehicle.

Charge just as much as dealers for service and then some in parts! In 2010 was $90hr now its $95hr. On recent service there they up charged on every part! How is $12.99 a quart for Mobil 1 synthetic, autozone has it for $8.49! Spark plugs (Denso) $22.50 each?!, heck for that I could have gotten Bosch Platinum plugs for $20.32 each from autopartswarehouse(they sell the Denso ones for $14.86)! Brake fluid synthetic DOT4 $14.98, autozone $7.99 for Valvoline synthetic DOT4 32oz. Oil filter $19.50!?! In other words they will rip you off on the parts prices and you know they are getting the parts/oil at prices cheaper than what autozone or autopartswarehouse is selling it for!!! I wont be back and others should take note.

Excellent technicians that are trained by the manufacturers! Ramon has years upon years of experience and keeps his technicians up to date on any new processes. Tom has been there for years and has done a great job any time Ive needed service on any of my vehicles. For anyone complaining about price of parts, etc, if you find it cheaper elsewhere go ahead, but I trust the guys at Bavarian and theyve always done right by me.

Bavarian did us right on a head gasket job for a 944 Porsche. I felt the price was fair and the work was done quickly and correctly. At a later time; as I was in a bind, the mechanic lent me a special socket so I could finish a plug/coil change on my wifes BMW. Great folks at Bavarian!!

I stopped by to look at a truck at 511 pm and was told we are on are way and to come back tomorrow. No one even asked for my information or anything. Is this how you run a sales business? I will be going else where to spend my money, with a business that actually cares about a customer.
