I recently expanded my family to include a ferret. I was assured he had a completely clean bill of health. My poor fur baby has ear mites. Hes been home less than a month so it is doubtful he somehow picked them up here. When I called to see how to go about getting his vet bill taken care of, since its well within the health guarantee time frame, I was told the only way to utilize it would be to return him. They would see to his medical care and then put him back up for sale. I would have the option of being contacted so I could try to buy him back before someone else did. Ridiculous. Hes part of our family, not a couch cushion with a torn seam! They should be more clear that that is their policy because I figured they would simply pay the vet bill or at least recommend and pay for some ear drops to clear up a very minor medical condition. It was very disappointing to have them act as though it wasnt a big deal to just return him and hopefully buy him back later. I always thought they saw animals more as family members than just pets. Clearly I was wrong.

Of the pet friendly stores I have been to I would not recommend going to the location in Longmont, CO. The grooming service is horrible. First, I got a kitten a few months ago and went there to get his nails trim and very unfriendly service. Called before on what I need to bring in and said nothing just him... a mistake on their end. Went there and had to go back home twice to get everything I needed. Then, the lady was rude and made us wait more time. I like to give a place another shot. Again, a mistake.. Called over six times to try to get an appointment and always we are busy and cannot help you because we are too busy and only do them in the weekday hours 9-4. So, please go else where and never to this location.

Appointment for grooming rescheduled by petco then on the way there received phone call that we were late and had to reschedule. Appointment was for 230 and 215 the call came in. The male worker called my husband a liar and that petco does not reschedule appointments and that our appointment was for 2. The email we printed off said 230. Wont be going back for the grooming, or purchasing food for my fur babies, or purchasing anything from them again. Will support a different company with my business.

The animals are kept in awful conditions. Two Crested geckos caged together, the smaller of the two showing signs of stress. One of the iguanas was missing a 4th of its tail, housed with 3 other animals. The ferrets had feces in their food. The staff is rude, they lounge around and become upset when you ask them for help. You would think with all that lounging around, they would at the very least maintain the animals in a better state if they wont be spending that time offering costumer service.

Came here recently to fill up on kitty litter and the So Phresh cat litter bin was pretty much empty. Patrick saw what I was going for and offered to open up a new bag of the litter so that I could fill my pail. He then came directly to the cash registers to help relieve the small line that was building. Great service! This place is my go to for animal supplies as they carry my favorite brands of food and have an assortment of inexpensive toys.

Nice experience because I could use Android Pay to checkout and it worked seamlessly. Cute birds and ferrets, and I found the pet supplies I needed really quickly. It was a little depressing because there were a lot of dead fish in the tanks so it made me a little wary to buy fish there.

Staff is friendly and helpful. They have a decent selection of small animal supplies, which I cant say for other places in town, but still it could be better. Not a bad place though, I imagine if you have cats or dogs you will be well satisfied with this place.

The staff has always been helpful and though the prices are a bit steep theyre the same that youll see at any speciality pet store (petsmart etc.) Their grooming is among the best that Ive seen and much less expensive while being more available.

Their staff is friendly but the care for their reptiles is just horrible. Their leopard geckos are over crowded and the crested geckos dont have a proper cage to live in. They also dont have the right crested gecko diet available.

I have both cats and dogs and find this Petco to be a good local shop for their needs. I have found the staff helpful including when Ive needed to make returns or have other problems that needed a human interaction to sort out.

I can really only speak to their saltwater and dry goods. But in the past few months the saltwater tanks have gotten phenomenally better. They also always are having good sales on dog food.
