I hardly ever write reviews for Google but I really felt I had to balance out all of the negative reviews from two years ago. I go to this Joann a couple times a month for various supplies. I sew garments so my experience with stock is only in this category. Their fashion fabrics do leave something to be desired; as in they dont have the stock a specialty fabric store or an online retailer would have. I dont see why anyone would expect them to. Yes, fabrics is in the name but everybody knows theyve diversified QUITE a bit over time and really cater to a little bit of all crafts. Theyre always running sales that make it quite worth it to get nicer tools for a good price. As for the staff at this specific location I think theyre great. Ive been rung up by a lot of different employees and some of them are friendlier than others but I never wait in line very long and if they see a line forming, they call for reinforcements. Yes, the cut counter can have a longer line on the weekends and later in the evening, but its never horrendous and they always try to move it along and apologize for the wait. Its certainly not the staffs fault if they are understaffed. Ive never had to deal with management (which I think says something) or bring anything back. But return policies are clearly outlined on the back of your receipt. (you do keep your receipt right?) Overall, helpful and pleasant staff with sales and prices that make it worth coming in for a lot of stuff.

While the store has a relatively good selection, I have had so many bad experiences with some of the older women who work there. Recently, I approached the cut counter and started talking to the woman working and it took her a good 30 seconds to look up from her cooking magazine. I felt like I was bothering her. Other customers who arrived at the counter after me were asked in a not-so-nice tone, "Did you all get a number??" I dont know how many times I have had this same experience. There are several staff there (including the managers) who are very friendly and helpful, but a couple of the women ruin it for everyone. Whenever I go in, I always hope that I wont need to have any questions answered for fear of dealing with them. A different time, I called ahead to check on a fabric before making the trek to the store. I was on hold for 10 minutes before being helped and then on hold another 7 minutes waiting for the woman to check on the fabric. I gave her the item number and the exact wording on the bolt. She finally came back to the phone and said they had plenty. She put it on hold for me but when I arrived at the store that afternoon, the bolt that she had put on hold was the wrong one! I found the correct bolt and it did not have enough fabric for what I needed. Argh!! A trip wasted. I may have to go to a different store in the future.

Im a knitter, and Ive been trying to find a brick and mortar store who sells the conductive thread for adding to gloves. I approached two older sales ladies and asked if they carried the item. They both looked confused, which made me think maybe no one has asked for it before, so I explained what it is and what I need it for. Both of them immediately asked if I had checked in yarn. I affirmed that I had, and they both said, "then we dont have it". I was expecting them to offer to see if it was an item they carried that might be mixed with the regular thread, or even to point me towards their catalog or online inventory. Instead I was told to check a yarn store. I honestly got upset, and I said "you didnt even check to see if you carry it" and then I thanked them and walked out of the store. I understand that for a long time this was a store for sewing and quilting, in fact, I spent a lot of time as a child sitting in the chairs while my mom browsed sewing patterns. But things have changed, and they should know who to ask if theyre not familiar with yarn crafts. I was insulted that they didnt even bother trying to find out if anyone knew what I was looking for, doubly so when I got to my car and checked their website to see that not only do they carry it, but I could have gotten it at the Littleton location.

I really want to give negative stars but since it wont let me do that I will have to give them 1 star. Like everyone has said in previous reviews...slow...slow...and slow service. But the attitudes and snarkiness of some of the gals that work there is just terrible and down right sad. When they rang up my farbic the price on the fabric was wrong and was not showing as it being on sale although there were signs everywhere around the fabric saying it was on sale, and it was costing me an extra $28. The cashier basically called me a liar and said that it was not on sale...I stood my ground even though I was holding up the line (sorry for that but I knew the fabric was on sale) so the lady slammed my bag of items I was purchasing on the counter and said "I will just give you the 40% off on the fabric since you dont seem to mind that you are causing the checkout line to get longer" Why is it my fault that there is only one cashier to check people out on a busy Saturday. From now on I will start making my trek down to Hobby Lobby even though JoAnns is a couple of blocks away from my house or just buy fabric online.

I have been shopping at this location for many years. The staff have gone above & beyond to help me on many occasions. I realize there are might be some lines especially on the weekends if there is a big sale like the Daffodil Dash and others that offer great prices. what you dont know is often times the little hand held pc’s they use at the cut counter are often fickle or the registers are not always working right. We live in a society where people often are in a hurry wanting everything now. I my self am in the garment industry as a local fashion designer. I find this happens to me as well, in closing I ask you reading this to try and post a positive comment on a site once in a while people only remember the negative. It seems people put way too much stock in the reviews. Especially the negative. If you read between the lines I’m sure there are far more pleasant experiences than negative.

I was worried about going to this Joanns because of these reviews, but I decided to risk it and go on a Friday afternoon. Id have to say, since I didnt need help finding things (I usually just walk around until I run into stuff) I did not need to find staff. Getting fabric cut was not a big deal; yes, the line is in an inconvenient spot, but they have so much fabric, its lovely. I wouldnt say things were out of place either. All the halloween fabric was together, all the quilting cotton was in the same place, bolts were not strewn about, which is what I expected. The man who cut my fabric was nice and talkative. When I checked out, however, I did have to wait probably about ten minutes. They only had two cashiers, but this Joanns is looking for employees, theyre short hands. If you can just be tough, this Joanns is fine.
