My wife and I were in Home Depot Castle Rock,CO this morning around 1100 to buy a Weber grill. We selected the 6 burner version for $1299.00. I asked a young man about getting one and stated that I would like one and that I would prefer not to put it together myself. A few minutes later he indicated that there were four in stock. Locating one still in the box on an upper shelf I once again stated I did not want to assemble the grill, I need it today. Moments later he informs me that the build team comes in on Tuesday. Now I ask you, the reader, was I not clear enough? Given the amount we spend in this store yearly Im well put off by now. I asked if I could buy the display and they could have a new one assembled next Tuesday for their display (Today is Sunday )? Ask the manager to come talk to me I instructed. A few minutes later he tells me that the manager says he couldnt sell me the display "We need the display for other customers to see". Really?! I pointed to the advertisement picture and said, "You have a photograph". No budging. I looked at my wife and told her "Well go across the road to Lowes". This is a blasted $1300 sale and this lazy manager cant even leave is comfy managers cave in the back to talk to me? Now Im a little irritated given we are currently working with Home Depot for a complete kitchen remodel (about $70k with granite). We gathered the remaining items on our list and head for the checkout. As we approached the register my wife says "Paul look". Two fully assembled Weber 6 burner grills sitting right in front of the registers. I was pissed at that point. Had this LAZY MANAGER gotten off his ass and performed his job and communicated with whomever runs the grill and lawnmower area he would have known there were two fully assembled Grills at the front. Instead I pass information to and from this LAZY Manager by a young man still in his teens who doesnt work in that area. What kind of ineptitude does this? A $1300 grill and he doesnt want to satisfy a customer ready to buy. Whom ever this manager is should be demoted to night cleaning crew. Junior associate. If this is Home Depots idea of business case leadership its no wonder they are losing market share to Lowes. I asked a group of young workers if they had communication with the Senior Manager in duty. One of the ladies I check out with often asked what was wrong. I told her and then pointed to the two fully assembled grills. I said I want to see your manager. In a not so sedate tone. True to form she said "Maybe I can just take care of this for you instead". Some of these folks are truly HELPFUL, yet not the LAZY UNCOOPERATIVE MANAGER on duty 11June17 at 11a.m. In Castle Rock Colorado. If I had been forced to go across the highway to Lowes I would have taken my Kitchen rebuild right along with me. Fire whomever this manager is and hire someone with a customer satisfaction work ethic. I think Ill start shopping at Lowes, maybe even let them design our new kitchen too. Update: surprisingly and a very welcome response. I received two phone calls, one from corporate and the second from the store manager today 12 June. He was very gracious and apologetic for the incident at his store. At least one of the managers showed some initiative for customer service. Bravo Zulu and thank you.

Dont buy here!!!!!!!!! Read the reviews or you will regret it!!!!!!! They farm out their deliveries to a company named home delivery link. They didnt show on Wednesday and told me I had to wait until Monday after I had taken a day off of work to accept service. Then I call and complain they move to Friday and tell me its during a time frame I had to take a family member to the airport, which wouldnt have been a problem if they had shown up in the first place. Then, they lie and say they their deliveries are computer generated but the supervisor was able to change the delivery for me. Then I ask he lady if I can record her saying that because she wont actually let me speak to the supervisor or give me his name and she freaks. She tells me she is going to cancel my order and report me to her husband who is a police officer in Colorado Springs (crazy I know) and that she will cancel my order. I tell her I asked for a reason and demanded to be placed on the phone with her supervisor. She then hung up on me. I called back and kindly asked her to put her manager on again! She did and the delivery people showed up early today. However, they couldnt install a he fridge. After all that, Home Depot explained that we needed a plumber and that they couldnt get someone out until end of week after I have literally taken 2 days off of work and spent 2500 on a fridge! I asked why this wasnt explained so I can get it ahead of time and the answer was, well I dont know there was a sheet your husband signed. I said, "please email me this sheet." They said, " well we dont keep it on file." I said, "well its pretty crazy that you have someone sign something that you dont actually keep on file. Then she told. E I needed to get a plumber. I told her, " you are crazy." Why would I pay for a plumber and still use them after all of this! She offered to pay after I complained but said he was "too backed up." And that I would need to AGAIN take another day off in a few weeks to get this done. I have also been living out of a small mini fridge for a week! Update: I received a call from Home Depot. Justin and Kris are currently working on making the situation right. I appreciate the response and will post a detailed update next week when I am finally supposed to get my fridge. Its over a week late but I will be grateful to have fridge.

My husband and I have had multiple bad experiences at this location in pale comparison to the one good one. Earlier this summer we bought an umbrella that was described as in stock by their store inventory system, only to discover that actually meant that it was on the most recent shipment truck parked in the back of the store. Since it had yet to be unloaded they gave us a receipt and told us they call us later that afternoon to come and pick it up . This was of course the resolution after many people digging around and trying to figure out what was going on. It seemed no one really knew the answer or what to do. That afternoon turned into more than a week with several phone calls trying to get it figured out . After my husband pressed for a resolution they magically found the umbrella and we were able to pick it up. Most recently we called to rent an aerator and as the website said, called the store to find out if they had one physically available before we drove down. The phone rang and rang and when someone finally picked it up we were told we would be called back. Two hours later and no call back so, we decided to try calling again. This time there was a response right away and we were told there were 10 sitting in their parking lot. When my husband walked up to the counter to rent the equipment he walked up on a young man playing on his cell phone. We felt as though we were interrupting his day and when we inquired about not being called back, the kid didnt seem to know what was going on . This could have been a case of not receiving the message and or him not feeling like doing his job Im not sure which to assign. The overall impression at the store is that no one knows what theyre doing and nobody wants to take responsibility for any tasks in customer service. In the future Ill be using Lowes or perhaps the new Murdochs I hear is going in . Heck Id even be willing to drive to Highlands Ranch or the Home Depot near Park Meadows !!!
