I had a horrible experience at this place I was shopping for make up at the mac section. We saw that they had some kind of gift bags on sale so we open some of the bags to see what they had inside as we kept looking threw the bags a employee by the of Sanaa approached us and told us everything that was inside the bags was on display but never did she offer her help to us after my cousin had opened up one of the lipsticks she came running and was very angry because she said now she needs to mark that down but she came running up to us in a very ugly manner no kind of customer service so I told him that we understand that so how are we suppose to know what do the bags have inside she said I could of helped so I did tell her that she had came up to us before just letting us know the samples were on the table but never did she offer to help us.. she was very rude and ugly to us, She then went to go call her manager who also approached and embarrassed us in front of plenty other people shopping telling us where was all the stuff we had open? Almost got all in my face a MANAGER? No kind of skills / customer service. I did explain to her that only one was open and the other employee took it with her so I explain how nobody ever asked us if we needed help so she said if we had questions she will help us.. so we ended up buying a eye liner because we couldnt shop comfortable after being embarrassed in front of so many people we got approached like if we were trying to steal. I did let the manager know we are daily customers not out first time. As we exit the store the other employee pretty much made fun of us and said bye bye in a very fake way like making fun of us Ive never in my life felt so embarrassed at a store in front of so many people.. ugly customer service and ugly employees

While browsing I watched the MAC makeup employee spend ten minutes doing contour and finishing touches to make sure a "customer"(another employee) looked great before walking out. I waited until this employee looked for a minute for a real customer, and then put all the products they had used away. I approached the employee and asked if she had time. I explained that it was my birthday, and I wanted to take it up a notch for dinner. I also stated I hadnt bought makeup in a year, was almost out of everything. She then looked for the time and walked away to make a phone call after I said I needed a little of everything. She made me feel like it was a bother to help me. After I said I had never tried the foundation, but had heard a lot about it she didnt even try to look for a match. I needed everything, from foundation and contouring to eye shadows and liners. This was my yearly splurge.($$$) I will be taking my money elsewhere. Your employees have time to use your products on themselves and not the customers. Asking for help is one of the hardest things to do, to be rebuffed and dismissed made me feel incredibly unimportant. As an ambassador of the Nordstrom store and the MAC brand, I wish I could take away 3/4 of the one star rating for this employee.

As far as customer service goes, you cannot beat Nordstrom. My family both purchased Christmas gifts here and received Christmas gifts from here; returns and exchanges were absolutely painless, even when we couldnt quite seem to match up the gift receipts with the correct items! Location is beautiful, and practically the last holdout of "full service shopping" since theyve got both the coffee shop (E Bar) and the restaurant on the second level (Bazille). For the record, I am subtracting one star for the prices! Yikes. I would say most of the pricing is fine (I get it, these are luxury goods), but once in a while one will leave me gobsmacked. I noticed last time I was in that Nordstrom has begun to carry The Honest Company branded diapering products in their childrens department... But the mark up was too much to stomach! Target carries the same brand and offers plenty of "stockpile" sales. Or skip the middleman and give your money directly to the manufacturer with their convenient subscription service.

Worst service ever, went to jewelry dept to get my daughter a watch the sales lady approached us we told her what we were looking for directed us to cabinet and walked away. So we left and made the purchase at Bloomingdales. We then went back to Nordstrom to look at shoes They didnt have the color my wife had seen online so we asked the gentlemen if he could check he gave us a disturbed look and walked away. Done with this location we took our purchases to Santa Monica location, which has the best customer service and a better selection.

I was there last Wednesday at 6pm. I went to the restroom with my daughter. I went inside the stall with her and could not believe all the hair in every corner of the stall. Yuck! dirty!!! I then left to go to my car and wanted to throw out some trash I had. Except the trash can was overflowing and all over the ground, this trash can was located right in front of the entrance. So embarrassing for Nordstrom!!! This would have never happened at south coast plaza.

Always a pleasant experience at this location. Very pretty store, with a good selection of items. Love the shoe department and my go to guy is Andy. Ask for him, he is knowledgable, quick, and very sweet. They make low wages and work on commission. Be nice people! Ive seen them work their tail off for a half hour, boxes and tissue paper everywhere... and then customer is rude and leaves them to clean up the mess. No commission, no money.

Came in to buy shoes and notice all the shoe sales staff where all very highly dressed and moving all across the floor to ask people what they can helped them with. I was approached right away and told them what I wanted and with in 5 minutes or less I was all done with my sales transaction. This place has excellent high quality service and will be back for more

Love this store...lots of personal care and wonderful people to help you! Ask for Bernadette in the childrens department. She is an awesome sales rep. She will go everywhere in the store for you to get you exactly what you are looking for, really wonderful!!!!!

Love this Nordstrom store, it is excellent! I’m a local and frequently here. However, my Mercedes Benz star hood emblem was torn off my vehicle this last time. An upgrade on security would be a def. plus!

Really disappointed. Nordstrom has lost its magic. The old store was much better.
