I came in here for a estimate on two tire trues with new tires and he told me that the service will cost $200 dollars. I asked him if he would do a deal, like maybe a free tire, because the price is so outlandish. And his reply was, "Does it look like we do deals here?" He was dick. His time is not worth the $140 (let alone the labor that isnt included) for the original two tire trues. Overall a terrible experience I went to Epicentercyclings Santa Cruz location and got the same service for HALF THE PRICE. And the person who helped we was so helpful and kind. And on the plus side they had a dog. ****First time writing a review so you know this place isnt worth your time.*****

Excellent experience here renting a bike for the day. They are much cheaper than other places around town, and ideally located just few blocks from the beautiful cliffs bike path. The bike was in perfect condition, nearly brand new. Kristin helped me, and she was super friendly and helpful; gave me a map and advice where to ride. I highly recommend taking a few hours to hire a bike and exploring the Santa Cruz coastline.. within 30 min, you can be down at the boardwalk.. and in another 30 you can be amongst rugged cliffs and dunes. A great way to see the area and get some exercise.

I agree FAMILY is misleading. After a serious accident on Capitola Ave the shop agreed to pick-up my injured (and bleeding) daughter which was generous on their part but even after being informed that she needed urgent medical treatment we were asked to wait first until the bikes were inspected and subsequently charged $10 for a scratched gear lever and $20 for the pick-up. A mere $10 investment and a free pick-up would have me raving about this place and going back. Misplaced priorities.

I almost didnt go there because of a couple bad reviews I read here, but I decided Id at least add it to the shops Id check out for my purchases (5 bikes for our family) After going to several bike stores over the hill and locally, we found FCC to be the best, by far. I found Bob to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Service is great after sale. Shop is great. NO complaints whatsoever!!!!

This bikes shop was great. I came in on vacation last summer just as the Santa Cruz models were flipping and prices were slashing online. I got to ride a 5010 and Bronson around, haggled a bit, but in the end although we were close, we couldnt quite make a deal but almost took a great deal on a demo. No worries though, still a very helpful, friendly staff.

Bought two bikes here and it was the best experience!! Everyone that works there is so knowledgeable and super friendly. They want the best for you, not just trying to sell you. Also brought in an old cruiser for repair and it adjusted while I waited for no charge. I will only buy and repair my bikes here from now on!

I just bought a brand new bike and could not be happier. The staff was amazing in giving me the best fit and advice in a cyclo cross bike. See Jason for a body fit session. The general manager Bob spent most of the morning looking for the right pedals. The best purchase I have made in quite a long time.

HUGE selection, and lots of "big ticket" goodies. Im not sure whats up with the bad reviews but Ive purchase 3 bikes, a trailer, and lots of gear from them over the years and have not had a single bad experience. They even have parts for my old 3-speed that you cant even order anymore.

Our salesperson was unbelievably rude during the time we made a major purchase. We have two kids and are in constant need of new gear for the family. But although we live around the corner from this place but will unfortunately have to pollute our way to another bike store.

The staff is helpful, friendly and fun to talk with. The selection of bikes is almost overwhelming. Every bike we wanted to check out and test... they had in stock. This is the best bike shop I have been to.

the people sometimes when I would go inside to check the place out would not even notice me I would be there waiting for some acknowledgment that never came so I looked elsewhere to buy my bike.

Very cool store. . . I purchased a Yakima Ridgeback bike rack/hitch today and Josh was a great help and super easy to work with.

They have been really helpful at repairing tires and other damages, but the time to fix a tire shouldnt take 2 days

Excellent service and product selection. The shop name is deceiving, as there are a lot of high end bikes here!
