Top notch mechanics and support regardless of whether it is a brand they normally carry (and they carry quite a few more than most bike shops in the area), I have never felt like they were disinterested in looking at any of the familys bikes even when it was clear they were purchased elsewhere. Like the oversized sign in the window says, Bike Station Aptos is an independent shop that carries many of the well known but hard to find frame builders from Europe and the US. They are not a captive Trek dealer that only sells Bontrager and Shimano; this makes for plenty of exciting eye candy with plenty of exotic carbon and titanium to lust after while waiting for a service or dreaming about your next bike. Joanne is awesome at bike fitting, and generally less expensive than any of the other shops in Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley and Monterey. After working with her for an hour, not only were the chronic aches and pains of extended riding resolved, I fell back in love with my bike. I happily recommend BSA to friends and other riders. The only downside, is they are closed on Sundays.

Popped in to kill some time while on vacation from Dallas. These guys were very friendly and extremely helpful. Gave me a lot of tips and advice to use with my new bike when I got back home. Even looked up a bike shop near my home he thought would be a good place. It was clear I wasnt going to buy anything as I was on a vacation but they didnt care. These are bike guys who love bikes , talking about bikes, and working on bikes. Dallas shops; the bar has been set very high. Good luck.

I bought my bike when the shop was in Aptos..I value small , women owned businesss above all others so it was a natural that I would buy my Cannondale there.I actually had the experience of being talked out of buying a new bike!! Instead we have done some tweaks..and both my riding experience and shop experience had cemented my relationship.I constantly refer..
