I bought a motorcycle from this place and it had problems within 1-2 days of purchase. Being that I thought I had a warranty with them I took it back for them to repair at no cost. I didnt get my bike back for months!!!! They showed no regret, sorrow, or compassion for the situation whatsoever, in fact they seemed aggravated at me as if it was my fault in the first place! Over those months I had to continuously call them to find out what the status of my bike was. If I didnt call in my self they never would have called me to tell me what was going on. Dealing with them and their service department is simply put a nightmare. When I finally got my bike back they told me they were not sure if they even fixed it or not but they cant reproduce the problem so here you go. By this point they have had my bike so long it is well passed the warranty period. The first thing I notice when I get my bike back is it is leaking oil and it definitely wasnt before. There was no way I was giving my bike back to them for another 5 months. Instead I took it to a friend who looked into it. Basically he told my a single screw was WAAAY loose as if done purposefully. The screw was far enough inside so you couldnt see it easily and it was the perfect screw to loosen so when the bike is parked and leaned it will leak the most amount of oil possible. It was easy for all of us to tell that they deliberately caused the problem in my bike in order to have me bring it back and make money. DO NOT GO THERE! IN FACT DRIVE BY AND THROW STONES THREW THEIR WINDOW BUT DO NOT SPEND A DIME UNLESS TO HIRE AN ATTORNEY.

Service an epic fail. I called in for a factory recall on my gixxer. Scott the guy acting the manager of the service department told me the work could be done in a hour or 2 and I asked if I could wait while they are working on it since I have work. He said yes. We agreed for me to comeback on a noon time. I did later and Scott said they were 6 biked that got dropped in the morning so they have to work on my bike on the last hour which I couldnt do. Why make appointment at all?? He wasnt sympathetic. He booked another appointment. This time he said come back in the morning as soon as they open. They were able to perform the work this time. However, when I left the shop I noticed the fairing right next to the area they worked on was damaged. I immediately called Scott about the issue but he rightaway dismissed my claim without hearing me out. I convinced him to at least take a look at the bike. He agreed and upon looking he sounded very defensive and dismissive. I told him to check their surveillance camera or at least investigate. Nothing was offered. This shop run by this guy is definitely going south. Extremely poor customer service. There are cheaper and low key service shops who have good customer service and skills that you can go to. Be mindful to trust GP sports. They would likely f*** up your bike as well.

Brought my 2007 Yamaha FJR 1300 in to Grand Prix for a ticking noise. Dave the service manager came outside to listen to the noise, told me it sounded like timing chain noise, possibly a timing chain adjuster gone bad. Dave had an available mechanic, so my FJR went right in. Keith was the mechanic working on my FJR, he invited me into the service bay to see what was going on with my bike. He showed me what was happening with the timing chain adjuster, showed me how it would not keep tension, kept backing off, and the ticking noise returned. Dave the service manager told me that he would need to order the part, and it would be here Monday, or Tuesday, I told Dave to go ahead and order the part, Dave said already taken care of, plus there would be no charge to me, as this was covered by my extended warranty. Dave did this with out me even mentioning that I had an extended warranty. My part came in just as I was told, bike was repaired with no issues, or problems. I have purchased 5 bikes from Grand Prix over the years, NEVER have I had an issue with the Sales, or the Service end of the business. I HAVE, and WILL CONTINUE to recommend Grand Prix. Geoff

I have been looking around and shopping around at various different dealerships and motorcycle shops and I have just never really found exactly what I was looking for with great service as well until I found GP Sports. The service I received the minute I walked in the door was amazing. The staff were exceptionally friendly and had a vast knowledge of what they were talking about. They showed me around the store, explained everything I needed to know and made sure I knew exactly what I was buying when I made my decision. The price of the bike I choose was great and they made sure I got the best deal they could possibly give! I couldnt be happier with the purchase that I made from them and I am still extremely happy with the whole package - service, price, quality, it was all delivered at GP Sports.

I bought a 2007 Yamaha R1 from these guys in December 06... Best bike I ever bought, worst dealership I ever bought one from. These guys tacked on soooo much money from "hidden" costs that it added almost $1300 to the bike. They dont care about you at all once they thing theyve got your sale. After I took delivery of my bike, I brought it in to them twice because of a clicking sound I was hearing at speed. They basically said they could take a look at it, but didnt think theyd find any fault (thus, theyd have to charge me). Screw them, dont buy from them... Checkout the guys at San Jose Yamaha instead. The owner actually hangs out at the shop and will chat it up with you. Also, they will try to help sort out mechanical issues without charging you (if its something little).

I ordered a set of two bearings for my motorcycle. On the day I went to pick it up, I had to wait for 20 minutes while the person responsible for the parts was going to get Iced Coffees for everyone. After he arrived, he brought me my order and instead of ordering a pair of wheel bearings, he only ordered one out of two. Instead of correcting the order, he started arguing with me that I had only ordered the right hand side bearing! Who the hell orders only 1 bearing when replacing two bearings on a motorcycle!? All in all, I walked out, initiated a credit card dispute and will not go there again. With a bad service like that and with an attitude to boot, Im amazed these guys stay in business. Dont give them your business.

This is my first bike and I had a wonderful experience at Grand Prix Powersports, Santa Clara. Ask for Reed - he is the best! Not only did he help me with finding the right bike, he also gave me a lot of valuable inputs regarding insurance and maintenance etc. These guys also have some of the best deals from what I could find searching online. Also, they do have a lot of accessories, which you could buy at a discount during the time of your bike purchase. On top of everything, Reed also offered to deliver the bike to my home for free. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a bike, especially if its your first!
