My forty year wait to buy a new and "real" Indian motorcycle came to an end this week at Arlen Ness Motorcycles in Dublin, CA. Arnie and all of the staff were kind, professional and knowledgeable. They made the process of signing away my hard earned allowance and the prospect of going home and watching my kind and loving wife turn into an "alien predator" almost bearable. I have bought many new and used bikes in my 50+ years of riding and rebuilding bikes of all brands and sizes but the new Indian Chieftain has surpassed all of my expectations. Kings Mtn. and Polaris have at last given us not just a "real" Indian, but one that is of the highest quality. This is not a small bike by any means, but it is exceptionally well mannered both in low speed handling in tight parking lots and out on the highway. It presents what feels like almost unending torque throughout the range, coupled with heart pounding horsepower. All of this is wrapped up in an exquisite finish with pretty much everything you need. A quite comfortable overall riding position and considerable storage capacity. To sum up: If your looking for a cruiser/touring, great looking bike, you want to low ride around town or head out across the U.S. from border to border in the finest style: Buy a new Indian!!! and any model will get you there. Oh yes; make sure you buy it at Arlen Ness Motorcycles in Dublin, CA. and make sure you take a walk through Arlens personal museum of great custom bikes upstairs. I dont think anyone with a reasonably warped sense of humor, good financial mind and loves bikes would be anything other than totally impressed, and quite satisfied with the overall experience. Arnie and I spent quite a bit of time reminiscing about the old days and old friends and acquaintances. It really was an experience I will remember all the days I have left.

We just walked into Arlen Ness, the mousy brunette working behind the customer service counter was far from servicing. She, while on the phone, managed to call my brother and I out asking what we needed. Was this because we were under the age of 30 compared to the 60+ that usually walk in? She continued to yell through the show room asking us what we were doing there. We were looking for nice jacket for our fathers birthday, hoping to spend $500 on a good jacket. She proceed to shout that the jackets were $300-$600 and we were in the wrong store...It didnt phase us, people sometimes dont think before they talk. My brother asked to see the new Indians, out of curiosity, and her response was "what you gonna buy your DAD a Indian" in a very degrating and ill manner tone. So we looked at her and said thank you for your friendly service and walked out. Thanks a lot Arlen Ness that old lady will put you out of business...We look forward to spending our money elsewhere.

Had a horrible experience with the sales manager, Danny Perez. He called me about consigning my motorcycle with them. He was very rude and unprofessional. He had a flippant and cocky attitude, and basically said he wasnt going to consign my bike there since I didnt buy it there in the first place. What the...? When I told him he was being rude, he hung up on me. Wow! If he didnt want to consign my bike, why did he even call me? I can tell this guy is a real a...hole, and I would highly recommend not doing business with him and this business. If he is this volatile over a simply phone conversation, I can only imagine how difficult he would be to work with when trying to negotiate a purchase. There are much more professional people and businesses that sell motorcycles in the area. Mr. Perez does not deserve your business. Everyone has bad days, but this was simply inexcusable for a sales manager. Horrible customer service!

“My experience with the Arlen Ness sales and service teams has been excellent. I bought a Victory Kingpin and the sales team was extremely helpful in wanting to find the right bike for me. They even encouraged a test ride against the HD Softail I was looking at. Victory Kingpin won, but the takeaway here is they wanted a happy customer on the right bike. Not pushy / no pressure. The Service Team, especially Susie and Steve, are great at communicating with customers. I was always kept in the loop as to when my bike would be ready and what needed to be done. They stand by their work and again strive to make their customers happy. Very happy to be an Arlen Ness customer! Highly recommend. ”

From the instant I arrived everyone was very cordial, zero pressure, and sincerely exuded a love for motorcycles. I bought my 09 Victory Vegas there and it was FAR and AWAY the best buying experience I have ever had, and believe me, Ive bought many vehicles in my day. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and were genuinely concerned with getting me the bike I wanted at a price that worked for me. Talk to Bob Rubino while your there, he was extremely professional and made it his mission to get me the bike, and the deal, that I wanted. He genuinely seemed concerned that I didnt walk out of the Arlen Ness showroom anything less than 100% comfortable and happy with my new bike.

My wife and I have purchased 2 new bikes from Arlen Ness in the past year. There is no other place wed buy from, ever again. We were in recently, to purchase the blacked out Indian air cleaner for her Chieftan and were treated like royalty. We always try and support the local businesses, but its very refreshing to know well be treated like family whenever we patronize them. Thats exactly how were made to feel at Arlen Ness! We always recommend them to anyone in the market for a new (or used) bike. Malcolm, Dyna Don, Arlen and the gang are great people! Stop by and check them out.

“When I came in, I needed some questions I needed answered to make a decision with my 2007 Road Glide. Dan took the time to explain what would be helpful for me to consider. If I have a problem, others cannot fix, Ill drive the 30 miles from where I live to talk, seek advice and repairs. Having this business as a resource near me makes owning a expensive motorcycle a pleasure. Bryan Mortenson”

Malcolm made purchasing a new Dark Horse effortless and exciting. He is very friendly and knowledgeable about the bikes, and he is willing to work with you on making the best deal and giving you a fair market value on a trade in. I was a loyal Harley rider for nearly 20 years, but I have switched over to Indian all the way!

Great service, people were extremely helpful and courteous. My Victory Cross Country is amazing, I love it. Icing on the cake was meeting the legend Mr. Arlen Ness. Also had the opportunity to walk by a filming of the show. Im hoping to watch more or find a way to keep up with the amazing builds coming out of the shop.

“After shopping at the other brand I am happy I went to Ness Victory. We could barely get a hello at those other dealerships, but Arnie was extremely helpful, and even showed me some of the bikes that were being customized (which is what gearheads like me LOVE). That was my 2nd bike from Ness...not my last though.”
