My friend and I both ended up purchasing brand new 2012 Caad10s here because of the service we received and the pricing. Were from Santa Barbara and we actually came to the Newbury Park Bike Shop because of their larger selection and the ability to test ride and get fitted for the correct bike before we ordered it. I cant praise them enough on how much help they gave us in choosing the correct bike size (we test rode several bikes, and each personal fit for the bikes took about 30 minutes each). We ordered the bikes on the spot because we felt that they deserved our business, even though it would have been easier going through a local bike shop in SB. We received our bikes about 3 weeks later and Mike (the owner) helped us with another professional fitting done. They also gave us advice on how to care for the bike, transport, and they even took their time to help me drill and secure my Thule fork stand to a piece of 2x8 in the bake of my pick up truck. Overall I highly recommend the shop, and its definitely worth the drive even if youre located a bit out of the city. Even though I am currently studying for midterms tomorrow, I had to take a break because they deserve this feedback.

I lived and grew up in Newbury Park. I spoke to Newbury Park Bike Shop owner many occasions, and he is a super nice guy. I work in the valley and getting very good bike service from the area. I decided to support the local business and spent $2900 to purchase another bike from Newbury Park Bike Shop. It really discuss me for the level of service the employees provided to me as a customer. The guy just assembled the bike and hand it over to me with flat tire, nothing adjusted, gear not shift properly, handle bar not straight, sit tilted to one side. I asked the guy what is the proper way to adjust the seat height. He responded "adjust to any height that you feel comfortable"= obviously he has little knowledge about bike. I had to take my brand new bike to Pedalers West in Van Nuys, and the adjusted everything at no charge plus they throw in a few small accessories that I needed for free. I would not recommend anyone Newbury Park Bike Shop. Micheals bike shop close by may be better choice if you want to support the local business. Otherwise, there are many caring bike shops a few miles further away. I give one star to the owner, otherwise it should be negative 5 star instead.

Excellent! Everybody in this store is knowledgeable and helpful. Warren, Goldie, Mike, Melody and Autumn, as well as the technical staff are ready to answer questions or there to help you set up your bike, assist you in gear or necessities for biking of any type. I give them 5 stars because theyve earned it. They take care of their customers before, during and after a sale. I bought a 2016 Giant. I love this bike! They even have a book on where to do biking and hiking that I found was well worth the $20.00 purchase! I havent, in the last several visits there, seen the negative experience that some below are saying. I can say that, as a business owner, sometimes, its hard to get away from a customer or supplier when youre on the phone. The conversation may sound like "nothing to do with business" but, thats part of "Customer/Business Relations". I see no discriminations here. Just good experiences to me. Thank you to all of the staff at Newbury Park Bike Shop

Bought my first bike here in 01. Mike (one of the owners) helped me as he spent over two hours with me just answering questions. I left without buying only because I wasnt 100% ready to pull the trigger. Not once did he make me feel bad for not purchasing that day. He spent the time educating me because thats who he is. When I did decide to buy, he gave me a very fair deal. I went back about 4 years later and not only did he remember me but he asked how my family was. He remembered all of them just from our conversations. I have sent many people in to the shop to buy a bike and everyone loves this place. Ben who is the other owner is so great to work with. We had a fundraiser for TOHS Dance team and Ben set us up with three bikes to auction off. He gave us amazing prices on the bikes so that a big percentage of the sale went to the Dance Team. They will always be my go to bike shop.

My low rating is for their service. Business 101: If a customer walks in, greet the customer. Do not ignore her for over 10 minutes until she apologetically interrupts your conversation that has nothing to do with cycling just because she doesnt looks like a pro cyclist who will spend much money. I went because a friend knows the owner, Mike, and highly recommended the place. Well, Mike didnt want to help (he was the one engaged in the long conversation), nor did any other employees, really. It was one of the most bizarre buying experiences. I still went back 3 more times and dropped $3,500 including a very nice road bike because Im an idiot and wanted to please my friend. I learned my lesson. If a merchant doesnt want your business, dont go back. The staff, starting with the owner, needs to learn about customer service. Gheeeesh....

I called ahead of time and asked if they could fix the chain on my bike. The guy i spoke to said sure no problem and estimated it would take about 10 minutes. When i got there they told me they couldnt find the peice they needed to fix the chain and i waited another 10 minutes while they looked for it. Since they were so unorganized and couldnt find a basic part i had to buy a whole new chain and wait another 20 min for him to install it. When i go to pay the cashier is so distracted talking to other people I had to ask him twice to finish the transaction before helping other customers. This place is unorganized, overpriced, and the customer service is horrible. NEVER going back.

Kaster Choi did you know that one of the owners is married to an Asian? Guess your race theory went out the window. Ive had nothing but great experiences with this shop. Ive told many of my friends from all over California to utilize their services. The service team really work magic and its well worth my 500mile drive to have the guys work on my bikes. Yes there are other shops in the Bay Area that could probably work on my bikes, but they wouldnt have the same customer service. I will say that a few months ago they were moving locations and as you could imagine things were a little hectic but that should be expected. Give them another chance, you wont regret it.

I placed a order last week 6-09 for a very important part we needed ASAP. The Bike shop told us that the part was in stock and they would have it by Friday. They took my contact info and were VERY AWARE of the importance of this item. I came in the day they said they would have it. I got no phone call or any mention of a problem even when I called in the middle of the week to do a follow up. The story they gave me did not match when I called the vendor direct!! I went online got my part CHEEPER, and next day!! I should have known better but I took a chance. And they WONDER why the internet is killing there business. I will shop no more at this store. big let down!!
