The dragons breath frozen nitrogen dessert is worth trying at least once -- sugary cereal balls are suspended in a plastic cup filled with over an inch of liquid nitrogen. The liquid nitrogen gives off a fog/mist like effect and if you bite into the cereal balls, the more saturated they are, the stronger the effect of "dragons breath" from your mouth. Im amazed at how this place can use liquid nitrogen -- pay attention to the signs saying not to drink the liquid nitrogen. You pick up the frozen cereal balls using skewer sticks and can also purchase dipping sauces. When Chocolate Chair first opened in the MaDang Plaza a few years ago, their main focus was nitrogen ice cream, but theyre trying to attract the social media crowd with the "dragons breath." Id say once is enough and their other desserts dont seem interesting or premium enough to attract repeat visits. Still, at $6.08 after tax including a dipping sauce, this is a much cheaper and accessible version of dragons breath than whats served at Ssam chefs counter in Beverly Hills SLS Hotel. PS: They share a space with a beauty store called The Face Shop -- unfortunately theres no partition to separate the two, but there is a unisex restroom inside for both businesses so you dont have to go way into MaDang Plazas basement for restrooms.

Less than 1 star actually! Probably the most stuck up & unfriendly people working behind the counter. Oh did I mention rude? If your not happy with the portion of your desert. When told your macaroon would be the size of a small scoop of icecream and was actually the size of a quarter, as in .25 cents. My boyfriend was flipped off, cussed out and the biggest older guy. He actually lunged at my boyfriend, as to pick a fight. My boyfriend doesnt take disrespect too kindly, nor would anyone else. My boyfriend was ready to hand out a lesson in manors to punks who think they are pretty tough behind a counter. The dragons breath actually tasted like fruity pebbles cereal. It left a slim on the roof of my mouth. The experience was awful, as well as the service. This was our first time here. It will be the last time too. We were visiting from another state. This place was recommded as a fun, upbeat, friendly place. I will not be recommending this place to anyone I know. The manager or owner was behind the counter and saw everything and did absolutely nothing. Just a disgusting experience. Just because you have a fun product doesnt mean you will have repeat business with a rude staff!!!!

WHAT DID I GET: The famed Dragons Breath dessert. HOW WAS IT: The dessert itself tasted like and had the texture of bland Fruity Pebbles cereal. There was nothing special about it; the flavor wasnt amazing, it wasnt even decent. Having said that, the only redeeming quality of this dessert is the fact that when you bite into it, smoke comes out of your mouth and nose because of the liquid nitrogen, which is, admittedly, fun. But ultimately, this dessert is nothing more than a novelty. HOW MUCH DID IT COST: $5.43. WOULD I COME BACK/RECOMMEND THIS PLACE: I wouldnt come back to this place, but I would recommend this place to others. The Dragons Breath dessert isnt amazing taste-wise, but its worth trying at least once, in my opinion, for the fun of the smoke-blowing.

Sad One Hit Wonder. Might be cool if if you didnt have to put ur dukes up when u get 1 qaurter sized macaron. Flipped off and challenged to a fight. Watch your back in this joint. Cool order a Macaron, asked how big? was told it was an ice cream sandwich size of one scoop of ice cream cup. Was the size of a qaurter. IDC about price or any of it. I was slightly pissed, then ganged up on by the lil boys behind the counter. I walked away and was flipped the bird when I turned around. Nice customer service BTW. I get outside look back and boom the finger and dirty looks. Place is a joke.

Novel idea for $5 dragons breath is golf ball capn crunch in a bath of liquid nitrogen, attended by a choice of colored corn syrup dipping sauces. So exciting for the first 83 seconds..then I wonder who in my district gave consent to that many 6 ft drums of pressurized gas a block from my house, and exactly what does the fda think is an acceptable amount of whatever chemical agent im ingesting. Fun. Great for kids who eat McDonalds anyway

I never been here at all. I just have a request or suggestion. My suggestion is that u can have another "Chocolate Chair" in Michigan. Like in Romulus or Inkster so other people can try your "Dragons Breath Balls" because they might not be able to come out there and try them. I hope tge owner sees my suggestion and take it under consideration. Thank u.

I ordered dragons breath for an Instagram worthy picture. What a disopoinment, it taste like Captain Crunch. Limited seating. The waiters dont make it effort to keep any of the tables clean. We actually saw a customer ask the cashier to clean a table for them and he refused, just giving her napkins. Try it once if you want, but really not worth it.

Fun little bit of molecular gastronomy. Enjoyed the Dragons Breath with my family. They apply liquid nitrogen to cereal balls that taste like fruity pebbles - the flash freezing causes steam to come out of your mouth when you eat them. Fun time for the kids - something you would definitely want to do once, but not sure I need to ever do it again...

I enjoyed coming here and I came when it was not busy 2:30 on a tuesday. I tried the famous dragon breath. It was fun to try but it burns and has little flavour with just that by itself. I also tried their raspberry macrons and i thought it was really yummy. Overall it is a fun and great place to spend with your family, friends or by yourself.

They have a variety of interesting things to try, I recommend the Dragons Breath, Ive never had anything like it. It was really cool trying out new desserts. However it felt very crammed inside because there werent enough tables. When we did find one, it was sticky and dirty. Not to mention its located in a pretty sketchy area.

If you like new experiences this is the place for you. The dragon breath plate is very cool and inexpensive combined with the strawberry topping taste delicious. Dont let you tongue dry cause the liquid nitrogen stick to it. Maybe you finish with your tongue a little bit swollen like me but I think Its part of the experience

Interesting concept, the line is way tooo long though. Not worth the time waiting. Fine to try it once but Id pick a time when the line is shorter. I got a strawberry dipping sauce on the side and it helps to add some flavor to the fruit loop. Youll want to get a cup to share with friends. Fun for kids, they love this stuff.

Only come to this place for Dragons Breath it will get served within a couple of mins. I ordered shaved ice from this place and they took almost 30 minutes during no rush hour.. My friends were done with theirs before I received my order. Ugh.... Price for shaved ice was almost $15 and is only served in large cup!
