I wasnt planning on getting anything since the cupcake flavors didnt look exciting, and then I somehow ended up walking out with a $3.25 mocha cupcake. Oops. The cupcake was a really dark chocolate, and super moist. I liked that it wasnt too sweet, and seemed to resemble Beattys / Ina Gartens chocolate cake. It was filled with whipped cream, which I thought completely unnecessary. The mocha frosting was very slightly coffee flavored, and way too sweet/firm (I probably should have waited half an hour for the buttercream to come to room temperature instead of immediately devouring it). My friend got a peanut butter chocolate cupcake that used the same cake as the mocha cupcake. There was a slick of peanut butter on top, as well as peanut butter buttercream. The buttercream was tasty, with a good peanut flavor. It wasnt cloying like the mocha buttercream got to be by the last bite, and there was a higher cake to frosting ratio (which I liked). I found the slick of pb to be weird; it stuck to my gums and teeth, and interrupted the devouring. It was filled with something but I cant remember what it was. My friend was veryyyyy happy after it. Tasty enough cupcakes and reasonable prices (most other cupcake places are $3.25+), but not worth going out of your way for.

Ice box was fantastic! The little cake was really light and refreshing. However, the cupcakes were comparatively bland. I tried the red velvet, berry shortcake, and mocha. The cream cheese frosting on the red velvet was delicious, but the cake did not have much flavor to it (though it was not dry). The berry shortcake was a bit crumbly, and the only berry was the raspberry on top.... The worst was the mocha. At the beginning I thought the chocolate cake would be tasty since it was so good in the icebox. But for some reason the chocolate cake in the cupcake had too much baking soda taste to it, and the frosting was a bit greasy. I probably would not recommend the cupcakes at all, but the ice box is a must try!

This place is a super cute and quaint little place located in the Sliverlake area of LA. Theyve got an nice display of cakes here and also cupcakes. My friend and I came in here and we were taking a look at the cupcakes and sharing a simple cupcake while my friend was on lunch. The gal behind the counter who was helping us just seemed like she had the "I cant be bothered" look on her face while we were asking what some of the different cupcakes were. After ordering our berry cupcake, we sat down at a nice table next to the window. Cupcake didnt have any flavor at all for what they are charging for a cupcake. No flavor in the cake, no flavor in the icing and topped with just a single berry.

So far Ive had a chocolate cake made here, Ive tried the icebox cupcakes as well as the vegan cupcakes...everything has been delicious. The vegan cupcakes were incredibly moist and did not let me down. My favorites: The Gingersnap Icebox and Chocolate Orange Vegan. Yummy!! My only suggestion is that they give some feedback to the girl that works the counter, she is either always talking "mad drama" on the phone or talking to the other employees about it. Its unprofessional and takes away from the "sweet" experience. Save the drama for your momma girlfriend! Aside from the ghetto-fab service, I say come here to satisfy that sweet-tooth craving!

Sorry not a fan of their vegan cupcakes, I cant judge otherwise since I cant eat any other pastry otherwise. Vegan cupcakes ended up just tasting like one flavor....all one type of sugar. Came here once and was given it as a bday gift the second time. I totally forgot about this brand or else I would have said no to it. The frosting was a tough texture. Maybe would have past as good back then, but there are so many vegan competitors who make them so much better now. I no longer need to eat cardboard with sugar dressing on it. Wrote this review so I remember to not go back for vegan cupcakes. Maybe their coffee or nonvegan is better?

Vegan. Had the Orange Chocolate and Banana Chocolate cupcakes. Maybe some coffee too, I cant remember because the cupcakes were the absolute best cupcakes I have ever had or heard of. Goopy fruit reduction insides (done to perfection, no easy feat) moist fluffy and FLAVORFUL cake body and the most divine fudgy chocolate frosting (a triumph of vegan dessertery) on earth. Take your best friend or partner the next time you want them to feel special.

Anyone who gives Lark less than 5 stars is simply crazy. Their cupcakes are the best Ive ever tried, and at $2.50 a pop, they really are incredible. Friendly customer service and a free cupcake on Wednesdays with a coffee/tea purchase. Cant go wrong. Ive had the toasted coconut, carrot cake, and several different chocolate kinds.... Mmmmmm. Think Ill go get one now.

I tried the Berry Shortcake cupcake and it was delicious. The frosting was so light and airy...probably one of the best frostings Ive ever had on a cupcake. The cupcake itself was very flavorful too but kind of heavy. This was a long trek out to Silverlake but Ill be back again if Im ever in the area. Looking forward to trying the Icebox cupcakes next time.

Ice box cake for the win. Truly amazing quality and I appreciate that they offer individual "slices" of heaven. The quality of their cakes are out of this world but also very rich. You can prolong the shelf life by putting the cakes in the freezer if you dont plan on eating it right away. A tip provided by the staff! :)

The best cakes & baked goods in town. It costs a little more but the quality of the cake I purchased was well worth it. My sister loves the Noras Lemon Creme Cake & I get her one every year for her birthday! Update! She wants a Noras Lemon Creme Cake again. She is now over 50 so, of course, I will indulge her.

I had the layered chocolate cupcake. (I lied when I used the singular form of "cupcake.") Extraordinary! The best Ive ever had. The quality of the ingredients and virtuosity of the creation is immediately evident. Bravo! What will save my life is that Lark is not close to where I live.

I like that they are open later into the evening, even on a Sunday night. The girl behind the counter was super helpful and didnt rush me. I had the flourless chocolate cupcake and it was absolutely delicious. Better than any comparable flourless cupcake I have had at sprinkles.

Love this cake shop. Their butter frosting reminds me of my mothers cakes when I was a kid. Great customer service. When I special order cakes..they are always ready when promised. This is what cake is supposed to taste like!

Not bad. We had the lime cheese cake (very good) and the berry shortbread cupcake (not so good). Nice place for dessert after dinner, but few tables and not much life on a Saturday night.
