What an experience! I came in here yesterday because of a faulty wiring situation on a window Air Conditioning (A.C.) unit that I purchased from a Home Depot at another location the day prior. All I can say is, that the employees working at the front desk: Tatum and Johanna really turned the experience around for me. Otherwise, I would have had to make it through another night with the Santa Ana heat dampening my evening. Additionally, I ultimately chose this location to go to because I had called the Home Depot location where I had originally purchased the A.C. unit to see if I could exchange it out for another one that wasn’t inoperable. Unfortunately, the 1 remaining unit that they should have had left wasn’t really there, so I reached out to other locations. I encountered similar results from location after location, until I happened across this one in East Irvine. Not only did Tatum patiently wait on the line with me as I sorted out my end of the situation—which took no less than an hour, I must admit—but she personally went above and beyond. She went all the way to the section of the store where they stock the A.C. units to get a visual confirmation of their quantity of inventory. She also retrieved a unit, checked to make sure that it looked alright, and held it for me at the front desk until I arrived. All of this occurred while she was still on the line with me, maintaining conversation so that I would not lose interest in taking my business to that location. Switching out the inoperable A.C. unit with the new one turned out to be a case of just walking in, thanking Tatum for her superior customer service, checking out the new one with Johanna, and then carrying on with my day. This Home Depot location is highly recommended by me.

I never EVER got such outstanding service from ANYONE and certainly didnt expect it from a "big box company" like Home Depot. We had a power outage; I ran to this store and bought a RIGID 8000 watt generator. They had sold out the other units but agreed to sell me the floor model. Not only did they prime and test it but they went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed to run and maintain it (proper oil, power cords, fuel stabilizer, etc) but also the right equipment that would enable me to hardwire the unit to the house so I wouldnt have to deal with extension cords everywhere. I can just plug this straight to the house and live a normal life. Chris in Dept. 25 (a very knowledgeable and tenacious 60 yr. old gentleman) went well out of his way to assist me. EPIC customer service and believe me, I am not easily impressed. I tend to be a very demanding customer who is frequently disappointed so if I say his service is stellar, it is truly notable. Working with Chris I also received tremendous customer care from Giovanni the Assist. Mgr. and a guy named Martin who made sure the floor model was in perfect working order and ready to flip on. This model Gen has a lot of bells and whistles on it and I doubt I would have easily gotten it started if they had allowed me to leave before they wired up the battery, primed the gas line and oiled her up. I saw them do the same thing for other customers...right past regular store hours. Did I say EPIC service? Good...its worth repeating. Screw Lowes...salespeople dont even look at you there. Im a Home depot customer from now on and that means I have to drive five times further but ya know what? They earned my business last night. Thank you guys! I never expected the service I received.

Went to Home Depot and bought two new light bulbs for my fridge in the morning. Got home put them on, one of them doesnt light. Took them back in the afternoon. An old lady with a handkerchief on top of her head at the return counter repeatedly suggesting I tried to cheat them. "These look different. They are not new." I said I just bought them in the morning. "Then why are the two bulbs look different?" I took a closer look, the frost on one bulb is lighter than the other. I said it does look like one is lighter than the other but they are from the package I bought this morning. "No. Are you mixing in your old bulbs?" I replied"No, thats not possible, I took the two old bulbs in and recycled them in the morning." "But these are not new. They look used." I said "I took the out, put them on, then took them off to return". "No, but they dont look like...". By this time, I felt really angry and have had enough insult from this lady. So I said " these only cost $4. I think its far better for me to just throw these away and buy new ones, than keep taking questions from you suggesting I am trying to steal something from Home Depot. This is not worth my time". The lady said "I am trying to help you". Yeah, right. I took the bulbs and the receipt, tossed them in the recycle box close by, bought the new bulbs and went home, raving mad.

I remodeled a home, went here practically everyday, spent $60,000 remodeling. They had great management back then (2013). Ive had nothing but nightmares with them the last 6 months from a washer and dryer I bought from them. They have gone through 3 managers, the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing over there. They finally returned just the washer and didnt refund 15% of my return. No one said that was going to happen... A manager left me standing there for 45 minutes one of the several times I had to go in there, then sent a cashier over to help me. It seems like no one even works there. Youll spend more time looking for someone to help you. I could go on and on. I will go the longer distance to shop at Lowes from now on. I did go to Lowes a few days ago. Great experience... They had the locks I needed, Home Depot didnt. Home Depots lock department is a mess...

Been doing many DIY projects and The Home Depot has become a second home. It has everything I need good prices, friendly staff and easy location. Pricing: With regular sales happening every week, combined with seasonal sales, move in promotions, credit card discounts, and the often found online coupons their prices cannot be beat. Learn how to time your purchases and your DIY projects will never break the bank. Staff/Service: They are extremely knowledgeable, so far I’ve done window, gardening, sprinkler, stepping stones, wooden dog houses, paint, plumbing, and insulation DIY projects. In every case they have been and invaluable source of advice.

The employees here set an example of how good a store can get if there are talented people working. I think they have a great manager too, the staff is very well organized here. The Woodbury location is one of the best Home depots I have been to, the employees are very friendly, greet you every time and ever ready to help you. Surprisingly this home depot location has knowledgeable staff in every department. A stark contrast to the Tustin Home Depot which is absolutely horrible. If you are in the Irvine area, this is one of the best home depots to go to. Great work and keep it up, customers expect great service in an upscale place like Irvine :)
