Very Professional….. I can’t say enough for how professional Lisa and Joanne are. They really go the extra mile to take all of the worry out of shopping for your special day. Yes, they do tell it like it is. If something is not going to work for you on your body type or coloring they move you into the direction that will complement your features and you will be all the more happy about it when the fit and style is perfect for you. Also along the way they share many wedding tips and tricks… you can tell that they have been doing this a long time and have the experience and passion to make your day unforgettable! As for fairness in price…they hear you when you give a budget and meet you there. In our case there was a dress that was in stock that was perfect. They brought the price down to meet the budget because it was an off the shelf dress. They were very fair and honest in price options for the dress, accessories and alterations. As for the maid-of-honor dress we spent a whole day shopping all over San Jose trying on enough dresses to make your head spin. Nothing was working and we did not experience near the same service and willingness to assist from the five different stores we visited in San Jose. On the way home we stopped by Bridal Vail Fashions to take a look at the brides wedding dress again to get a fresh vision for bridesmaid dress shopping. We shared our frustration about shopping for a dress over the hill for the maid-of-honor dress. Joanne really listened to what we were looking for in style, color and budget. She walked over to the rack and pulled off the perfect dress. Our dress shopping for the maid-of-honor was an accomplishment and the perfect dress. Why did we even bother going over the hill and wasting time and gas when we got exactly what we wanted here in Santa Cruz with far better service and fair pricing? The service that Bridal Vail Fashions offers is amazing! The wedding wisdom that they give is priceless! I would highly recommend this bridal and special event store that in locally owned in Santa Cruz/Capitola to anyone!

I went into this place 2 weeks before my wedding. I dont have friends/ family in the area, so I went in by myself just to check it out. At first I picked a few dresses that were way too small for me, Im 510 and 165 lbs. Joanne helped me fit into a beautiful size 14 that was perfect for my tall curvy body. She listened to the kind of fabric I was looking for, the design, and my price range. She pulled out a beautiful off-white, satin dress with just the perfect amount of sparkle (not too much). She helped me put the dress on and made me feel comfortable. She also helped me pick out a beautiful hair accessory. I tried on a few pairs of shoes, which were very hard and uncomfortable (I think they could work on the quality of their shoe options). I am going in for my fitting today, which I wish she had mentioned that this part would cost extra. The nice thing is that she helped me find a dress that was $100 under my budget, so hopefully the alterations wont be too expensive. I appreciate her encouragement and for helping me find the perfect dress, just on time for my wedding.

I went into the store just to check it out, and Joann (the owner) was so friendly, letting me know I had to make an appt and they would be so pleased to help me. I dont have family in the area, and she went so far as to say she would be my stand-in mom. So I did. I came in with pictures and an idea of what I wanted, and one of the ladies pulled a few dresses. After the first dress, she had to leave and Joanne took over. Complete opposite of the first time I met her. She was running around answering the phone and dressing me at the same time. She left the door open while I was half undressed and helped other customers, didnt bother zipping or tying any of the dresses on me, and couldnt give me the time of day. I was literally in tears. DO NOT go here if you have high expectations about your wedding dress experience!

(May I give negative stars please?) This business, run my a mother & daughter, will take every advantage they can of you and insult your physical proportions to boot. I was "measured" for a mother-of-the-groom dress, paid for "rush" order (7 weeks prior to event) plus shipping, went through 3 fittings (for which I paid the seamstress) when the dress was drastically ill-fitting, and attended the wedding in a gown with a puckered, ghastly bodice and neckline. The $240 dress ended up costing me $685. They also did their best to get me to buy their bras (as they kept insisting my bust must be lifted ever higher to fit the dress!) and shoes. Do yourself a favor and avoid this nightmare.

Let me start by saying I *did* get my dress here. It was beautiful. That said, this place charges too much for everything. Every chance they get, they will charge you. They have an archaic system of receipts and if you dont keep them, theyre not good at keeping them either. They are rude, condescending, and made the whole experience extremely difficult for me. Do not get alterations here, either, as they will charge you hundreds. I spent over $2k and was told everything would come in well under (oh but this rental and that bra and this...). For the sake of yourself do *not* go to this store. These women are so rude and treat you so badly.

I originally went over the hill to try on dresses. Amazingly the first dress I tried on was "the dress", however they said the dress probably wouldnt come in until the day of my wedding (which is in October)! So, I called Bridal Veil to see if they had the dress or could get it much sooner. Low and behold, the next day they called me and said the dress is being made overseas and will be shipped and sent to me in a month! It literally came one month exactly from the day I made the call to them. The ladies who work there are amazing and sweet and extremely helpful and accommodating!

Joanne and Lisa are wonderful. They pulled out lots of different wedding dresses and I ended up choosing the second one they tried on me! It was great. You should not expect for it to be a salon-type experience like Say Yes to the Dress, but you should expect people who really want your marriage to be beautiful. They worked very hard to find a dress within my budget and it was all a success. It was great!

I made a last minute appointment, since my mom was coming to town, they ladies here were very accommodating. They listened to my list of likes and dislikes, pulled several dresses that were contenders. They were helpful with their input and brought a few unexpected choices for me to try out. I ended up buying my dress here and cant wait to go back to see the real thing and do my fittings!
