-scammed of 70$ -bitchy sales persons - I never post reviews. Because I beilive each person should have an oppurtunity to win any client that walks through their doors. This on the other hand, was the most infuriating sales experience I have ever had in my life! Avoid this place at all costs! Order a dress online where you can return it for free, includeing return shipping. What happened- we bought a dress that the sales person insisted we can alter the dress. Suprise! They dont know anything about alterations. After buying the dress and taking it to the alterations we are quoted at 120$ for an alteration on a 300$ dress. We signed a contract saying we cant return or exchange. Which makes sense, Im sure they are sick and tired of people buying dresses and wearing them and returning them. But I bought it on a Tuesday and returned it on a Friday. No occasion -- no weekend. We call in, saying hey we want to exchange thank the lord they approved. At this point we are in their mercy. So we drive out, a 2hr drive. We walk in with 30 minutes left till closing to exchange the dress. ten minutes in, not even a hi from anyone. They clearly glare at us for walking back in with a dress bag. Again, we where not helped for a good 10 minutes. In order to save time since they started nagging 30 min before closing that they where closing, we where changing in a open dressing room, that was close too the racks so we can find something quickly and walk out. At this point 3 ladies decided to bombard us saying "we usually dont have people changing without a consultant" well THEN WHY DONT YOU COME CONSULT ME WITH YOUR NON-EXISTANT WISDOM. After the lady moved us to the other side she continued to completely disregard any of our requests to find the dress in our size instead of lecturing us that we cant do anything without her. Now to top all this off, the dress I picked is 79$ cheaper than the original one I bought. When I asked hey, well then cant you just return the differences? Another sales person says "no I heard you on the phone you where told you need to forfeit the difference" which we where not. Proof: I have a recording. We where only told "equal or greater value" but if they had any dignity or respect they would honor at least this MERE REQUEST FOR OUR TROUBLES WITH THEM!!! So overall, this experience was a horrid one. No harm would have been done if the sales person just decided to refund the difference. Clearly the dress wasnt worn, and it was sold out! So they wont have a problem reselling it. In fact, they voided the first payment on my card and recharged me for the same amount on the cheaper dress!!! UNBEILIVABLE!! If you want to enjoy your experience: go somewhere else!! Otherwise they will rip you off!!!

Great selection of dresses. Excellent service. Competitive prices. My daughter is getting married in England. She tried on dresses at 4 shops in England and 3 shops in California. Far and away, Trudys had the best selection, service and prices. At most other stores the sales folks said "there are the dresses, pick what you want" or they would disappear for 15 minutes and come back with a dress that wasnt at all what was discussed. At Trudys the staff knew all their dresses. When my daughter said, "I like this top, but want a simpler skirt" or "I like this skirt but I dont like this fabric", they knew exactly what they had that would work. And their prices were excellent on both dresses and veils. My daughter found a gorgeous dress for under $1000 and it was better than dresses on "Say Yes to the Dress" in the $5k-10K range. After finding the wedding dress, the bridesmaids went looking for their dresses. They thought they could save money by finding an off-the-rack dress. After many hours at many stores they found only average looking dresses, in not quite the right color, and at $200-$300. Trudys called to congratulate my daughter on finding her dress and they suggested the bridesmaid come check out Trudys selection. We had assumed a custom made dress would be too expensive; we were wrong. The bridemaids found a dress that looked wonderful on all their body types, in exactly the right fabric and color and for under $150. As Mother of the Bride, Im next in line and Ill be checking out Trudys selection too.

They insisted that my sister buy a wedding gown that ended up being way too large. It was a size bigger then the sample (that was also too big) but told us that the samples get stretched out and because of her large cup size (at least a DDD) she needed to go this big. We argued that sample size was too large and that we were also told she was the 2nd girl to try it on so it shouldnt be stretched out. Well turns out even in larger sized dresses the cup size is still an A or maybe B cup and she had to get it taken in 4 inches (my understanding every 2 inches is a different dress size). Apparently they dont know what they are doing... Also when we went back to pick up the dress we went over next door to look at their bridesmaids dresses. We were approached by multiple sales ladies asking a ton of questions since my sister was unsure of having bridesmaids at the time we told everyone we just picked up her wedding gown and just wanted to look around. They did not seem very happy with that answer, they were very rude and unwelcoming so we ended up just leaving. None of my family will be returning there!!

Ask for Didi--I had an AMAZING experience with her!! I work in the retail industry and I know great customer service when I see it. Didi is excellent at what she does, way more knowledgeable than other consultants I have seen. She knows the dresses very well, what works for your body type, and gives lots of good tips and advice, without ever being pushy. She understands fit and alterations and definitely pays attention to detail. Also, she is very friendly, listens very well to what your style is, and is very patient (I was torn between dresses that I came in 4 times!). I came to Trudys with a tight budget and very limited timeline (4 months to wedding), but to my surprise, Didi was able find lots of dresses that fit my criteria and looks so beautiful! The dress selection at Trudys is so vast, for every body type and budget. Dont let the cost get in the way...for the same money you spend at bridal chain stores, you could get a much beautiful dress here with better service! Because of Didi, I finally found the dress!!! Many thanks to her and her dedication!! =)

Friendly when they sold me my dress, they said it would take 6 months for the dress to come we where 10 months out from the wedding. I asked, could we wait to order the dress for 2 months and they said we need to order it now! Ordered the dress, the dress came in to 2 months. 8 months before the wedding, I said to them what am what do I about my dress and they said the dress would stay there until alterations, but they told me to come and try the dress on and make sure it was my dress. Went and tried the dress on, they hand me the dress with no help, doesnt work out to well with no help. Go the leave and the lady said I had too take my dress. Trudy was standing there and I said what about alterations and holding on to my dress and Trudy just got nasty and said shes been in business for 30 years and take my dress. $4,500 dress, no service and no THANKS!!
