My husband and I are both newbies to cycling. We bought our bikes in July and immediately hit the trails. We both received our customized bike fitting from Spike. He is a wonderful source of information. Since July, we have been in the store several times to ask questions, for tune ups, and to accessorize our bikes. Nate has answered some of my most basic mechanical questions with the utmost patience (i.e., am I using my tire pump correctly?). My husbands bike wasnt shifting correctly. One of the tech guys rode his bike to see exactly what the problem was able to recreate the issue and fix it at no additional charge. The Fayetteville shop is busy and sometimes we have to wait, but the level of continuing customer service is worth it.

Had some issues with my mountain bike chain slipping when I pedal really hard (mostly) uphill. Phat Tire decided that the teeth on rear cassette gears were worn and they was what was causing the slippage. They charged me about $60 to replace my perfectly good Shimano Deore alloy cassette with a cheaper and heavier all steel replacement. There was no change. They also bled my front hydraulic brake which did nothing. While they did later fix the problems without charge, I am still rather upset that I had to pay for a inferior replacement part, which was not even the cause of the problem. The fix turned out to be a simple chain stay adjustment

Walked in wanting to buy a bike. Nobody talked to me for ten minutes, until I went asked for help (even then the guy at the counter took awhile to acknowledge me because he was working on his computer). After I asked for help, he said he be there once he was done with the other customer, which was fine. But, there were three other guys behind him tuning bikes, and Im sure one of them could have helped a buyer for 3 minutes. I waited another 5 minutes, and just left. I was 1 of 2 customers in the store, with at least 5 employees there and no one ever approached me, and they were frankly rude. I wont go back.

After 30yrs of not riding a bike & having the trail pass right by my house, I decided to try a new exercise/hobby. I was also dealing with some old injuries & wasnt sure if I could do it. Visited All the shops & tried out All the styles. Allie at Phat Tire helped me pick out a Cruiser Style, that I was comfortable on! Been enjoyin it. They were promt, helpful & I will go back And recommend them. I have a business too, so dont take the 1star ratings seriously. I get em sometimes tooYou cant make some people happy, no matter how hard you try!!

Wish i could go higher than 5 stars. My wife and I are new to the NWA area and I wanted to get back into Mt biking and her road biking. We spent almost two hours in the shop riding I dont know how many bikes - each time we took two out the staffs only comment was "Have fun and no time limit". It was obvious that these people know bikes, but not just that, we felt like they honestly tried to find us the perfect bikes! Would happily recommend this shop to anyone in the area.

Curb appeal and a neat and clean environment. But the service left a bit to be desired. Went in to have a front derailler fixed only to be told that they didnt have time and that the derailler needed to be replaced. I brought the bike back home and found that it was only lacking a shoulder screw...an easy fix. The replacement quote was nearly $100. I wouldnt trust the service department...their not honest and try and up sale things that are not needed.

Fantastic customer service! I went in several times and talked to Chris who was patient and took the time to explain different options before I made my choice and finally made a purchase. Nate spent an hour fitting the bike to me and took the time to get it just right. I never felt pushed or rushed and was allowed to make the right decision for me. Thank You!

Good looking shop and great staff. I am an avid cyclist and have been looking for a top-notch shop to service my bikes here in Fayetteville. This shop was new to me and I though I’d give them a shot. This shop has the skill and knowledge of an elite bike shop but without the elitist attitude you normally experience. I like it!
