My family decided it was time to buy three new bikes in order to get out of the house and enjoy the hundreds of miles of bike trails Mankato has to offer. So, we narrowed it down to two bike shops; Scheels and of course Nicollet Bike shop. At Scheels the employees as people were awesome. However, their prices were awful and there quality of service and knowledge of biking left my family and I unsatisfied and frustrated. So, we went to Nicollet bike shop and was immediately blown away by the quality of service, knowledge and affordable prices (i.e. discounts and trades) and within 45 minutes we had three new bikes that we absolutely love and Nicollet bike shop has three new customers for life. Thanks Nicollet for the bikes and the memories my family and I are making on the trail. Dont worry Scheels Ill still buy my guns from you :)

Went in with a budget and was talked into a bike that I had no business being on, if they would have asked a few more questions. Ended up spending way too much on a bike I rode a couple times and when I called about returning it, it was like too bad... that was last year. Update: Love the bike, im glad I was talked into a higher quality bike. I would have been disappointed in anything else at this point. I am officially eating my words right now!! Sorry to the staff, I was treated more than fairly. Highly recommend Nicollet Bike Shop for all your biking needs!! Lesson learned, dont be a tight a**!!

This place is outstanding! I went in last week to ask one of the mechanics about tire options on a Specialized Sirrus that I purchased in 2014. The employee (I believe his name was Aaron) was super knowledgable and he helped me pick out new tires and fenders. He then installed everything while also helping another customer order a new bike. Oh he was also training a new employee... an awesome employee at a great shop. I got my first bike at Nicollet South when I was a kid and it will be the first place I stop when Im in the market for a new bike.

I havent bought a bike in years and really wasnt sure about my wants/needs. Jenna and Justin Rinehart (the Owners) both spent time with me and educated me on what would work best for me and my riding style. Their knowledge is extensive and you can tell they have passion for what they do. They both ride so you know they arent just in it to make a buck...they are helping shape Mankato into a beautiful riding community. I highly recommend checking them out no matter budget or riding level! Support Local!

I couldnt imagine a more unfriendly owner, Gene is a total asshat that drives customers away with his rudeness. Prices are ridiculous especially if you are looking for replacement parts to do it yourself, apparently that is frowned upon. Hopefully soon we will have a quality shop in the area that cares about customers.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon with an old British Raleigh with a snapped bottom bracket axle. I fully expected it to be there for a few days etc. Instead, they tore right into it and had it all back in running shape in 20 minutes. This was a great experience and I highly recommend them. After thoroughly abusing my bike all winter Nicollet Bike Shop fixed it up like brand new. Their estimate was accurate and their prices are fair. They did excellent, professional work without being all judgy with the state I left my bike in. I would recommend them.

Husband and wife team are dynamite! Ordered white spokes for my Trek wheels and got them in quickly and inexpensively and then installed them for hardly any charge. It is out in the middle of nowhere but worth the drive no matter where youre coming from!

This is an amazing store with surprisingly good new bike prices and lots of bike accessories. The staff is nice and helpful and I feel they did a great job at making the place feel cozy. Might not want to go in though if your severely allergic to dogs.

Beautiful new shop in downtown Mankato. They have tons of bikes, parts, and clothing. The staff is all very friendly and helpful without being pushy like other bike shops Ive been to. Prices all are very good and competitive.

We stopped in for a used mens bike. We found one that was just right and though they wouldnt budge on the price they threw in a kick stand and it came with a year service included and they had also gone thru it.
